Many people have been writing to me complaining about TypePad, and asking me why on earth I switched from Typekey to TypePad.
Answer: I didn’t. Typekey became TypePad. The change was imposed upon us, not initiated from here.
People have also complained that they can’t comment at all, or can only post a comment after repeated failed attempts to do so, and have asked me why I haven’t done anything to fix the problem.
Answer: TypePad says that the problem is here, within our system, but my tech expert has checked our system and finds nothing wrong. He also tells me that he will move us to a new system — in fact, it will be a major move, involving more than just the comments — but that won’t happen until sometime in January.
Until then, I am very sorry for the inconvenience. It is often possible to post a comment if you log in, write a comment, copy it, and then open a new window and log in again when TypePad tells you you aren’t logged in. I apologize for the cumbersome nature of this. Please be patient, and if you find some way to post comments that seems to work well all or most of the time, please let me know and I will tell the world.
