“Man wearing Jewish symbol stabbed near Paris,” from The Associated Press, January 16 (thanks to all who sent this in):
First we learn that the car thieves’ focus changed from theft to murder after they noticed the “Jewish symbol” their victim was wearing:
PARIS: France’s interior ministry says masked thieves who attacked a young man east of Paris to steal his car repeatedly stabbed him after noticing he was wearing a Jewish symbol….
Then, in the third paragraph, we find that the attackers shouted antisemitic threats:
The ministry said in a statement Friday that the attackers shouted anti-Semitic threats at the man as they stabbed him four times with a knife in the Thursday evening attack.
And in the fifth paragraph, a hint that Alliot-Marie and/or AP knows full more about these attackers than they’re letting on:
Alliot-Marie has said France has experienced a clear increase in anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim attacks since Israel began an assault against Hamas in Gaza on Dec. 27.
Up to that point, this story could have been about any old antisemitic attacker. After all, it isn’t as if antisemitism in Europe is something new. But it is resurgent, and the responsibility for that can be placed squarely at the feet of Islamic jihadists and their Leftist allies.
