NEW YORK: A jury has convicted a man extradited from Romania in a plot to sell weapons to Colombian militants after a notorious arms dealer was already sentenced for his role.
The jury in Manhattan federal court convicted Tareq Mousa al Ghazi Tuesday in the sting operation.
Al Ghazi was convicted of conspiring to murder U.S. officers and employees, conspiracy to acquire and export anti-aircraft missiles and conspiracy to support a terrorist group.
