Lars Hedegaard, President of the Free Press Society
Late last night I arrived back in the Jihad Watch headquarters in Yoknapatawpha County, Mississippi, after traveling by transatlantic kayak from Copenhagen, Denmark, where I had the honor of addressing the Trykkefrihedsselskabet, or Free Press Society, Tuesday night. My topic was “The Imperialistic Crusades and Multicultural al-Andalus: Historical Myths in Service of a Modern Political Agenda.”
Copenhagen is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, and I was inspired by the dedication of the people I met there, as well as touched by their kindness. Many thanks especially to Lars Hedegaard, president of the Free Press Society and an ever-gracious host; to Peter and Ken for their extraordinary gifts; and to Katrine Winkel Holm and all the officers of the Free Press Society for their hospitality.
