A hearty hello from the newest member and contributor of the Jihad Watch team. Reporting to you *live* from somewhere in Dar-al-Islam, I would like to introduce myself — I go under the handle ‘The Anti Jihadist’. As an unbeliever (non Muslim) and as a long-time resident of Planet Islam, I feel that I’m in a rather unique position to observe, write and reflect on the random and not-so-random insanities that are increasingly happening within and emanating from the Islamic World.
For me, Islam, its machinations and all-too-real effects on its many victims, is not just an academic exercise; nor is it something to be found only in the so-called conservative blogosphere. I see, hear and personally experience Islam’s deleterious effects everyday. This is as personal as it gets, and it’s a battle I intend to engage in for the rest of my days. For me, being actively engaged in the ‘counter-jihad’ and spreading the ugly truths about Islam is a calling. I feel compelled to speak out and to continue speaking out on what Islam’s growing power and spreading influence means to us all, no matter what the risks or consequences might be to me personally. It’s been made clear to me many times by those close to me about what sort of risks I am taking by actively opposing Islam. So be it. As long as I am able to reach people and influence minds, then this makes the risks all the worthwhile.
I would like to thank Robert Spencer for inviting me and accepting my contributions here at Jihad Watch. I very much look forward to bringing you news and developments from my corner of the Islamic realm and beyond. I also look forward to connecting with and learning more from the many well-versed members of the Jihad Watch community.
