In Tower Hamlets and other areas of Britain where Muslims have been left free to engage in vigorous persecution of gay people, while authorities turn a blind eye for fear of appearing “Islamophobic,” the jihadists had better have worked out some sort of hand signal or wink (but not too much of a wink) to dissuade pious brethren who would beat them senseless.
This is but one exceptional case of a broader jihadist tactic we have encountered many times before. An al-Qaeda manual captured in 2006 discussed at great length the ways in which a jihadist ought to cover his tracks by appearing non-observant, from shaving his beard to indulging in alcohol and promiscuity. It would all be overlooked in the end in Allah’s promise of paradise to those who “slay and are slain” fighting in his cause (Qur’an 9:111).
“UK terrorists told: Pretend to be gay so you don’t get caught,” by Nick Owens for the Sunday Mirror, July 3 (thanks to Weasel Zippers):
Al-Qaeda fanatics in Britain are being taught to avoid detection — by pretending to be gay.
A new terror training manual tells Islamic extremists to lie about their sexuality if a woman approaches them in case she is a “honeytrap” spy sent by security services.
The handbook, which was uncovered by a Sunday Mirror Âinvestigation, says: “Many hotels — especially in busy UK cities — have women hanging around the lobby areas in order to attract men.
“A young beautiful woman may come and talk to you. The first thing you do to protect yourself from such a Âsituation is to make dua (prayers) to Allah for Âsteadfastness.
“The second thing is to find an excuse to get away from her that is realistic and sensible, such as you having a girlfriend for the past few years and you are loyal to her or you are Âhomosexual.”
The suggestion is one of many tips in the manual, called Class Notes From The Security and ÂIntelligence Course.
The 64-page guide, Âall in English, was written to try to stop the police and MI5 Âuncovering the identity of terrorists Âplotting Âattacks on British soil.
It was produced by Taliban warlords in Afghanistan and was discovered by Sunday Mirror investigators on a Âpassword-protected Jihadist website used by UK cells. It has emerged just months after MI5 launched a recruitment drive for women to work as spies.
The guide was placed online after Osama Bin Laden was killed, Âsuggesting Al Qaeda and Taliban leaders are Âdetermined to launch revenge attacks on the UK.
Its introduction says: “Our aim is to publish an English version of a training course to provide basic Âprinciples of security for working brothers in Europe.”
