Carthage “” Acting President of the Republic Moncef Marzouki stressed during his meeting on Thursday with a Palestinian delegation of Hamas movement and Islamic Jihad, the importance to achieve the Palestinian reconciliation and put an end to internal divisions which, according to him, “represent, henceforth, a burden for Palestinian people’s fight.”
President Marzouki voiced Tunisia’s readiness to play an “active” role in the reconciliation between Palestinians, a statement of the Presidency of the Republic reads.
The Palestinian delegation underlined, according to the same communiquÃ©, that the Revolution for freedom and dignity, strongly motivated the resistance of Palestinian people, saying that “Palestinians voice their heartfelt wishes for the success of Tunisia in its democratic process.”
