Then what happened? Where are the Jews of Arabia today? MT @TariqRamadan When Prophet arrived in Medina, he welcomed Jews as part of “Ummah”

That little exchange induced Tariq Ramadan to block me on Twitter. Sheesh, can’t a guy ask a simple question?
Tariq Ramadan may still be smarting over this article I wrote last year: Deep Thoughts from Tariq Ramadan
Oh, and what did happen to the Jews of Medina? There were three tribes of them; Muhammad exiled the first two and massacred the third. Then he went to the Khaibar oasis, where the exiled two tribes had resettled, and massacred more of them there. He accused two of the tribes of violating a peace treaty he had made with them; but after they saw the fate of the first, they had good reason not to trust him.
