A few years ago I debated the Christian writer Peter Kreeft, author of Ecumenical Jihad and Between Allah and Jesus. The debate topic was “The only good Muslim is a bad Muslim” — a rather facetious way of expressing the fact that the more devout and observant a Muslim becomes, the greater the possibility that he will turn to jihad violence and/or Islamic supremacism. I argued in the affirmative, and Kreeft in the negative. You can see the debate here.
Anyway, while the debate with Kreeft was cordial and polite, a manner of debating more preferred among Islamic supremacists has just shown up on the debate’s YouTube page. I think it likely that I am the “kafir” in question, since I am the one in the debate pointing out how Islamic jihadists use the texts and teachings of the Qur’an to justify violence and supremacism. Like their Leftist allies, Islamic supremacists have no interest in engaging the ideas of those whom they oppose, much less debating with them; they just want to destroy them.
