Stories like this reveal the endgame of the hysteria about “Islamophobia” that Islamic supremacist groups such as the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and Reza Aslan’s Aslan Media keep trying to whip up. They’d like nothing better than to see the imposition of “hate speech” laws that would punish those who dared to cross the line in talking about Islam, and the effect of that would be the de facto imposition of Sharia blasphemy laws on the U.S. Their goal is to make people think that talking about Islam and jihad critically makes people do violence to Muslims, so as to stigmatize and ultimately to criminalize any critical word about Islam, including counter-terror analyses revealing the motives and goals of jihad terrorists.
