Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Jordanian MP quotes Muhammad: “Judgment Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Muslims will kill them”

Feb 6, 2014 4:39 pm By Robert Spencer

A few years ago, David Horowitz and I challenged the major Muslim organizations in the U.S. to repudiate this genocidal hadith. None would, and the few who commented at all offered nothing more than the usual propaganda about “taking it out of context,” implying that only greasy Islamophobes understood such passages as having an applicability to the present situation. Apparently Jordanian MP Zakaria al-Sheikh didn’t get the memo.

Meanwhile, MP Mousa Abu Sweilam says: “I would like to tell everybody that the Palestinian cause is an Islamic issue of the first degree.” This is the foremost point that John Kerry, Barack Obama and the entire Washington establishment refuses to grasp. Yet as long as people like Mousa Abu Sweilam and others believe that the existence of Israel is an insult to Islam that must be eradicated, no negotiated settlement will ever work. If Obama and Kerry force Israel to accept yet another one, it will fail almost immediately, with the concessions Israel is pushed into making becoming the basis for new jihad attacks.

“Antisemitic Remarks by Jordanian MPs during Debate of Kerry’s Initiative,” from MEMRI, February 3:

During a February 3, 2014 Jordanian parliamentary debate on U.S. Secretary of State Kerry’s peace efforts, MPs made various antisemitic comments, drawing upon Christian and Islamic textual sources. Following are excerpts, from the Al-Jazeera network and from the Internet:

MP Mousa Abu Sweilam: I would like to tell everybody that the Palestinian cause is an Islamic issue of the first degree. It is of concern to Muslims from Japan, America, and Britain, as well as to Palestinian Muslims, and Muslims from any country on the face of the Earth.

[…]

Let me emphasize that as a Muslim, I have no problem with Judaism as a religion, or with any Jew living in Jordan, Iraq, or Syria. My problem is with the Jews who came to Palestine, occupied it, and drove out its people.[…]

He doesn’t mention the inconvenient fact that Muslims expelled virtually all of the Jews from Jordan, Iraq, and Syria.

MP Tareq Al-Khouri: Brothers, allow me to conclude with a verse from the New Testament, in response to what Sheik [Abu Sweilam] said. My problem with the Jews is a religious problem.

In John 8:44, Christ addresses the Jews and says: “You are from your father the devil, and you choose to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth” – in other words, the peace accords are nonsense – “because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” Thank you.[…]

This was not addressed to the Jews as a whole, and does not refer to any living people at all.

MP Muhammad Al-Badri: If you recall, in 1922 [sic], George Bush Sr. equated Islam with terrorism, and then said that it was a slip of the tongue. In 2003, George Bush Jr., prior to his invasion of Iraq, said that it was a “Crusader war.” Then he said that it was a slip of the tongue.

Actually, he said it was a “crusade,” clearly meaning the word in the general sense it has in the West, of a struggle for justice. He backed off and apologized when Islamic supremacist groups complained and made it clear that they thought he was referring to those Crusades and reviving them — a claim that was already a staple of jihadist polemic, and still is.

Our dispute with the Jews is one of faith. History has not changed this – it is written in the New Testament, as my colleague Tareq Al-Khouri said, and it is also written in the Koran. There is a dispute of faith between Judaism, on the one hand, and Islam and Christianity on the other. Therefore, no solutions will be achieved here – neither by John Kerry, nor by anybody else.

As I have said, the dispute is a dispute of faith. Moreover, there will be no true democracies in Arab countries, and you can se [sic] what is going on around Israel. No true democracy is permitted in any country bordering with Israel, because an Arab democracy would run counter to the interests of Israel. A true democracy serves the peoples’ interests, and the interests of the Arab peoples run counter to the interests of Israel.

I call, from this podium, to strengthen the Jordanian domestic front, in order to prevent the Jews, the Zionists, and the Americans from meddling with the Palestinian cause.

[…]

MP Zakaria Al-Sheikh: Allah says in the Koran: “Fight them. Allah will torment them at your hands, and will bring them to disgrace, and assist you against them, and will heal the hearts of a believing people, and will remove the rage within their hearts. Allah accepts the repentance of whom He wills. Allah is All-Knowing and All-Wise. Do you that you shall be left alone, while Allah has not yet tested those of you who have fought, and have taken none as friends and protectors, but Allah, His Messenger, and the believers? Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.”

That’s Qur’an 9:14-16.

In a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, the Prophet Muhammad said: “Judgment Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Muslims will kill them.” In another version, it says: “You will fight the Jews – you to the east of the river and they to the west of it.” One of the Prophet’s companions asked him: Which river? He replied: The Jordan River.

Historical Palestine is the occupied Islamic, Arab, Palestinian land, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. It contains Islamic and Christian sites, and nobody has the right to relinquish a single inch of it.

The Palestinians are the original owners of Palestine, who lived on its land when they moved from the western Mediterranean Basin to its east, in 7000 BCE. The Israelites have existed as a nation only since 1800 BCE, with the birth of Jacob, who is also called Israel. Moreover, Judaism as a religion emerged only in 1300 BCE.

Thus, the Palestinians are the original owners of the land of Palestine. Any solution must include the return of every inch of historical Palestine, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, must guarantee unconditional Right of Return for Palestinians worldwide, and must provide just financial and international compensation.

      And who is surprised by that? Dr. Bill Warner did a statistical survey of antisemitism in the holey books of islam vs. Mein Kampf. He found the incidence of antisemitism higher in the holey books of islam than in Mein Kampf.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    True, Robert; but Jesus *was* addressing the Pharisees and temple officials of his day …
    Question: “What does it mean that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44)?”
    Answer: Speaking to a group of Jews, Jesus says, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44).
      More Islamic projection! Who are the murderers? Does Allah commission Muslims to MURDER? Yes, indeed he does. So similar to those addressed by Jesus in John 8.44: they MURDER like their father the devil.
      Jesus was obvious speaking to a SPECIFIC group of antagonists, rather than all of Israel.
      These bigots are merely projecting the diabolical murder in their own hearts onto the Israelis!
        True …and the pharisees were constantly at odds with Jesus because He came teaching that God saves people, not the law; and if muslims had been at odds with Jesus, then He would have told them the same thing written in John 8:44.
    The Jews and the nation of Israel have every right to exist and to live in true and lasting peace, but this won’t be accomplished with evil rot like this:
    “In a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, the Prophet Muhammad said: “Judgment Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Muslims will kill them.” In another version, it says: “You will fight the Jews – you to the east of the river and they to the west of it.” One of the Prophet’s companions asked him: Which river?     Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel! I Stand With Israel!
    Christ most certainly was not addressing the Jews in particular. but anyone who walks after the flesh, ie the law of the jungle rather than the law of the spirit. Christ taught that for those who follow him there is no more jew or gentile. God is not insane, mohamed was and so are his followers. Low information audiences will interpret what they are told and may never hear anything else. The truth will set you free.
    What I like most about this hadith is the “talking stone”!!!
    Muhammad and his companions believed that ants, stones, trees and food could talk, that stones could run, that the sun will rise from the west, that humans were turned to animals etc…
    the Southern Levant? what significant proof do you have from 8000 years ago.
    split hairs. 1st Hominid occupation of ‘Palestine” was Acheulean/Homo erectus about 1.4 million years ago. by 8000 BCE we are looking at the neolithic.
    we are also obtaining the 1st records of the Semites, (Southern Levant) in the area, coinciding with the earliest farmers. but the truth is, the people calling themselves ‘native palestinians’ are probably from the same Semite ancestors, or at least group of tribes, as the Jews and Israel.
    tribes were formed or retained and various peoples rose to prominence and collapsed.
    amongst them, the Jews, at least twice, conquered by Egypt and the Assyrians.
    The Assyrians became a murderous empire. they ransomed Israel and destroyed the major towns in the 2 Israeli/jewish kingdoms. from memory, they were responsible for the “lost tribes”
    and the moslems as a people have only been around for 1400 years. so these moslem palistinians were never part of this history anyway. it belongs to Egypt, Assyria, Babylon (Uruk, Armigeedo etc) and the Jews for documenting a lot of it.
    Jerusalem was never a holy place til the Jews made it so. then the Christians as well. the moslems? johnny come lately.
    you have to be a lot more specific, Mr Jordanian MP. otherwise it is just a throwaway comment.
    For the record
    “You will fight the Jews – you to the east of the river and they to the west of it.” One of the Prophet’s companions asked him: Which river? He replied: The Jordan River.”
    The above is not a hadithe
    It is a bastardization of the following
    “You will indeed battle the Mushrikeen (polytheist disbelievers) until the last of you fight the Dajjaal at a river in Jordan you will be on the east of it and they will be to the west of it.”
    And the narrator said: “And I don’t know where Jordan will be on earth at that time.”
        There is not two different hadithes. The quote by the Jordanian minister is not a hadithe. If you claim it is, then prove it, just do not call me a liar with out proof.
        And BTW it is classed as a very weak hadithe
    Jordanian MP quotes Muhammad: “Judgment Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Muslims will kill them”
    …………………………..
    And yet, Jordan is so often cited as a “moderate” Muslim country.
    More:
    A few years ago, David Horowitz and I challenged the major Muslim organizations in the U.S. to repudiate this genocidal hadith. None would, and the few who commented at all offered nothing more than the usual propaganda about “taking it out of context”…
    …………………………..
    Sometimes things really are taken out of context—but this cannot be trotted out as an all-purpose deflection. The speaker has to show in just what way the passage has been taken out of context, and what the passage actually means.
    Most Mohammedans don’t bother to do this—and most Infidels don’t insist that they follow through.
    Of course, in most cases—as here—there is *no* context in which this is anything but violent and genocidal.
    More:
    Yet as long as people like Mousa Abu Sweilam and others believe that the existence of Israel is an insult to Islam that must be eradicated, no negotiated settlement will ever work. If Obama and Kerry force Israel to accept yet another one, it will fail almost immediately, with the concessions Israel is pushed into making becoming the basis for new jihad attacks.
    …………………………..
    Yes—this is all about the destruction of Israel—and further, of the genocide of the Jews.
    More:
    Let me emphasize that as a Muslim, I have no problem with Judaism as a religion, or with any Jew living in Jordan, Iraq, or Syria…
    …………………………..
    Well, *this* is grimly hilarious, since Jews have been forbidden by law from settling in Jordan, even before the founding of the state of Israel.
    Almost all the Jews of Iraq were forced out after vicious pogroms and strictures entirely reminiscent of Nazi Germany in the late ’40s and ’50s. By 2003, the entire Jewish population of Iraq was—thirty-four Jews. And today? *Seven* Jews remain…
    And Syria? At last report, about fifty Jews remain, mostly in the area around Damascus. But this figure dates to before the terrible Jihad raging there, where Jews would almost certainly have been targeted along with Christians, so many of those are likely fled or killed.
    So he’s talking about not having a problem with a tiny, threatened group of people who *at most* number a few dozen. Big of him…
    More:
    My problem is with the Jews who came to Palestine, occupied it, and drove out its people.
    …………………………..
    The usual canard—that Jews have had no historical presence in the Levant at all. This is demonstrably false.
    More:
    There is a dispute of faith between Judaism, on the one hand, and Islam and Christianity on the other…
    …………………………..
    What crap—it is Islam that oppresses Jews and Christians. Right now, there is a Muslim genocide against Christians, including in neighboring Syria. Pretending that Christianity is threatened by Judaism but should ally with Islam is ludicrous—it is just Taqiyya used here because Muslims want the backing of the Christian (or post-Christian) West against Israel for now.
    More:
    As I have said, the dispute is a dispute of faith. Moreover, there will be no true democracies in Arab countries, and you can se [sic] what is going on around Israel. No true democracy is permitted in any country bordering with Israel, because an Arab democracy would run counter to the interests of Israel…
    …………………………..
    And how, exactly, is tiny Israel (supposedly) preventing Jordan, and Syria, and Egypt, and Iraq, and Saudi Arabia, and on and on, from becoming democracies? This is grimly laughable.
    The fact is that there is not a single Muslim country that is a true democracy, and that is because Islam itself is not compatible with democracy.
    More:
    The Palestinians are the original owners of Palestine, who lived on its land when they moved from the western Mediterranean Basin to its east, in 7000 BCE. The Israelites have existed as a nation only since 1800 BCE, with the birth of Jacob, who is also called Israel. Moreover, Judaism as a religion emerged only in 1300 BCE.
    Thus, the Palestinians are the original owners of the land of Palestine…
    …………………………
    How does this “reasoning” even make sense? The “Palestinians”—though never historically called this, are supposed to have have hegemony since 7000 BCE—but the Jews are only dated from the (supposed) beginning of their religion.
    This is just a (very slightly) more scientific sounding update of the false claim that all Israeli Jews are European and have no historic ties to Israel at all.
    More:
    Any solution must include the return of every inch of historical Palestine, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea…
    …………………………
    In other words, he is calling for the utter destruction of Israel. No surprise…
    More:
    In a hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, the Prophet Muhammad said: “Judgment Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Muslims will kill them.”
    The Hadith continues: “All except for the Gharkad tree, which is the tree of the Jews”.
    Here’s my painting, “I Am a Gharkad Tree”:
    http://s478.photobucket.com/user/gravenimageartist/media/gharkad.jpg.html?sort=3&o=5&_suid=139182342705805614843931980431
    That means, I will to the best of my ability protect Jews—and anyone else—threatened by Muslim violence.
