“Nonreligious items also were damaged during the burglary, police said.” One wonders if the hate crime unit would have been called in if a Bible had been found damaged. In any case, the damage of non-religious items would suggest to any reasonable person that there was no “Islamophobia” here, but just a case of burglars looking for loot and damaging various items around in the process.
But our intrepid hate crime detectives would no doubt respond to that with a hearty “A-ha! That’s just what they want you to think! See, they rifle through drawers, throw things around, break glasses and the like in order to throw us off the scent! They really only burglarized this house because they knew that inside it was a Noble Qur’an they could desecrate! We’re going to get headquarters to issue a bulletin to all area residents who own Qur’ans: be on guard! There are Qur’an-desecrating burglars on the loose! Leave the family heirlooms and most priceless jewels out, and hope and pray those worthless pieces of jahiliyya will placate these mad fiends before they — astagfirullah! — find the Book of Books and work their nefarious will on it!
Think of all the Infidel manpower and resources poured down the drain on this. How they must raise their glasses of Welch’s Sparkling Grape Juice and laugh over at the offices of Hamas-linked CAIR when they see stories like this one: they don’t even have to lift a finger or say a word, and the ever-pliant Infidels jump to enforce Sharia prohibitions on Qur’an desecration. They have done their work well, and can toast their own success.
“Hate crimes detectives probe Farmingville burglary,” by John Valenti for Newsday, February 24 (thanks to Halal Pork Shop):
Hate Crimes unit detectives are investigating a Sunday afternoon break-in in Farmingville that left a number of items damaged, among them a Quran.
Suffolk County police said it was not immediately clear if anything was actually stolen from the home on Linwood Avenue. The break-in was reported at 1:52 p.m., police said.
Police said it also was not clear if the home was targeted.
Nonreligious items also were damaged during the burglary, police said.
Police said Hate Crimes detectives were called in to investigate because of the damage to the Quran, which is the central religious text of Islam.
