Once again we see the mainstream media report on an Islamic jihad attack without daring to note who was behind it. This car bomb at the Mogadishu airport just exploded, apparently of its own accord, with no one responsible for it and no one setting it off. This is a near-universal pattern in stories about jihad murders: bombs explode, people are killed, heads are removed from bodies, all without any clear indication of who did it. But in reality, the media is not at all unwilling to name the perpetrators when they are motivated by religion or identifiable as a religious group — as long as they’re not Muslim. When Christians fight back against jihad in the Central African Republic, and Buddhists fight back against jihad in Burma, then the headlines are filled with references to “Christians” and “Buddhists” in a way that “Muslims” are never, ever featured, no matter how savage the jihad attack or how many times the perpetrators invoke the Qur’an and Muhammad.
