Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and now Uzbekistan. That isn’t all, either. Muslim clerics around the world are railing against Valentine’s Day. Imagine if they expended even a fraction of this energy fighting against the jihadist understanding of Islam, which they ostensibly reject. But no: hijacking Islam is fine. Chocolate hearts for your sweetheart — that’ll send you to hell.
“Valentine’s Day Comes Under Attack In Uzbekistan,” from Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, February 13:
TASHKENT — Valentine’s Day is under attack in Uzbekistan.
Several universities have asked students to sign contracts affirming they will not celebrate the holiday on February 14.
Islamic clerics in Tashkent told RFE/RL that sermons against Valentine’s Day will be included in Friday Prayers.
Officials say Valentine’s Day contradicts the national traditions and mentality of the Uzbek people, as well as the religion of Islam.
RFE/RL correspondents report from Tashkent that, as elsewhere around the world, prices for flowers, chocolate, and perfume have soared as young people buy gifts for their partners.
Valentine’s Day has become popular among Uzbek youth in recent years, despite official attempts to obstruct it.
In the southern Kyrgyz city of Osh, meanwhile, education officials imposed a Valentine’s ban on all schools to avert the holiday’s “negative influence on the mental health of children.”
Fr. Basil says
When I was growing up, the day was called SAINT Valentine’s day. I don’t know when the honorific got dropped.
Holy Hieromartyr Valentine of Rome, pray for our protection from the mahometans.

Fr.Basil
I beg you, to also pray to Saint Valentine to protect us from all the Western politicians who are eagerly inviting millions of Muslims to invade their countries, in the guise of “refugees” and “asylum seekers”.
This is the Trojan Horse that the Muslims invaders are using to get into Christian countries.

islam: the anti-love/anti-fun religion
CornHolio says
I’m racking my infidel brain, and I can’t for the life of me find any Islamic justification for banning Valentine’s Day gift-giving.
It’s about someone giving flowers or candy to the person they love. How could that possibly be haram?
The only thing I can come up with is that it’s an obligation that usually falls on the guy, and it’s a bit of a bother. But is that it? Is it just the fact that the men don’t want to feel obligated to get their wives some roses once a year? It might make them feel “special”, or “loved”, or deserving of affection and respect? Or is it just because it has a Christian origin?
Am I missing something here? Is the complaint really just that petty?

Well, of course—because love is un-Islamic.The marriage contract in Islam is a the woman’s male owner—usually the father—selling her to the husband for “Nikah” (f*cking).
The woman often has no say at all, and is often forced into marriage, sometimes as a a child. She is regarded as an “Awra”—a vagina, and nothing more.
How could there be room for romantic love in this loveless vision?
Where there is love in a Muslim marriage, it is *in spite* of islam, not because of it.

Of course, they only ostensibly reject this in the West—where Islam is in ascendancy, they seldom bother with such Taqiyya.

Puppy love or even friendship might have a negative influence on the mental health of children—but the horrors of Islam are perfectly fine.
What an inverted view of morality pious Mohammedans have!
Bob Averly says
Saint Valentine’s day is a harmless tradition and promotes love. Perfectly understandable that Muslims would be against it as women are seen as property and breeding cows.
