Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Karzai says Afghanistan doesn’t need US troops

Mar 15, 2014 9:01 am By Robert Spencer

KarzaiTroops“In his final address to Afghanistan’s parliament Saturday, President Hamid Karzai told the United States its soldiers can leave at the end of the year because his military, which already protects 93 percent of the country, was ready to take over entirely.” Then why wait til the end of the year? It’s only March. Why not leave now? Or do Karzai’s troops need more targets for their shooting practice?

“Karzai says Afghanistan doesn’t need US troops,” by Kathy Gannon and Rahim Faiez for the Associated Press, March 15:

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — In his final address to Afghanistan’s parliament Saturday, President Hamid Karzai told the United States its soldiers can leave at the end of the year because his military, which already protects 93 percent of the country, was ready to take over entirely.

He reiterated his stance that he would not sign a pact with the United States that would provide for a residual force of U.S. troops to remain behind after the final withdrawal, unless peace could first be established.

The Afghan president has come under heavy pressure to sign the Bilateral Security Agreement, with a council of notables that he himself convened recommend that he sign the pact. The force would train and mentor Afghan troops, and some U.S. Special Forces would also be left behind to hunt down al-Qaida.

All 10 candidates seeking the presidency in April 5 elections have said they would sign the security agreement. But Karzai himself does not appear to want his legacy to include a commitment to a longer foreign troop presence in his country.

Karzai was brought to power in the wake of the 2001 U.S.-led invasion and subsequently won two presidential elections __ in 2004 and again in 2009. But he has in recent years espoused a combatative nationalism, with his hour-long speech Saturday no exception.

“I want to say to all those foreign countries who maybe out of habit or because they want to interfere, that they should not interfere,” he said.

Karzai said the war in Afghanistan was “imposed” on his nation, presumably by the 2001 invasion, and told the United States it could bring peace to Afghanistan if it went after terrorist sanctuaries and countries that supported terrorism, a reference to Pakistan….

Time wasted, lives lost, money spent and no appreciation. Is it time for us to leave so they can get down to the business of being who they are? Pull us out, put troops along side the Israelis to show “our support”. Israel eouls welcomr true support but will never get it. We would prefer to waste aur resources on those that would murder us if the could.

What this tells me is that Karzai, in his heart of hearts, doesn’t really believe that the U.S. is pulling troops out of Afghanistan.

Karzai’s delusional rant makes it sound as though Afghanistan didn’t have a huge problem in 2001 that needed intervention! The Allied intervention gave Afghanistan a chance to have modern four-lane highways, modern institutions and modern education, as well as a modern government system, a modern constitution and modern military. Afghanistan is headed to becoming a civilized country if the Taliban does not return. The steady hunting of women’s rights by the Islamists will slow down Afghan progress. Islamism is a problem within Islam which can’t be tackled by half measures. Muslims are terrified to admit that.

      …………………………..

Mortimer—with respect—I think your assessment of Afghanistan is *much* too rosy.

Yes—our presence there *did* give Afghanistan a chance to move towards becoming a civilized modern nation, but it was a chance that all but a few Afghan Muslims *rejected*.

Afghanistan is *not* on its way to becoming a civilized country—it is a nation with Shari’ah as its constitution that imprisons women for running away from forced and abusive marriages. It is a nation that allows marital rape for the Shi’ite Hazara. It is a nation that is *reintroducing stoning*.

Things are marginally better now than they were under the Taliban, and they will be worse when we go and the Taliban returns.

But all our efforts, and all our blood and treasure—in part because they were hampered by ignorance and “political correctness”—were unable to make Afghanistan a civilized country.

But while we certainly might have handled things better, the main stumbling block has been Islam itself. Afghanistan is almost 100% Muslim—and like every other such country, it is a hopeless Islamic hell-hole.

One thing is for sure , Which is that Karzaa is a fool if he thinks that some kind of worthwhile lasting “peace alliance ” can be made with the murderous fiends who compose the Taliban. For the Taliban have worked very hard to prove b ytheir own actions, time and time again, that they are a group of cruel ruthless thugs with no honor and would keep their word in anything that they may happen to promise only as long as irt would suit them and no longer. Thus in anu so “negotiations’ between the officials of the Karzai goverment and the Taliban, the Taliban wil be very disingenous. For the Taliban do know how to dissimulate. Before enaging if the foolishness and folly of even trying to engage with the Taliban in “dialogue’ to form a “peace alliance” with them. Karzai would do well to heed the wisdom of Sun Tzu from THE ART OF WAR . Which teaches “”We cannot enter in an alliannce with neighboring princes until we are acquainted with their designs.” To put this in a more current and updated way, it may be said that “We cannot enter into an alliance with the Taliban until we are acquainted with their designs.”
With the Taliban we all may be sure that their intentions are evil.

And what is ‘striving in the way of Allah’? It is waging violent Jihad.

Look what this pious Mohammedan idolizes—a regime that oppressed and slaughtered religious and tribal minorities, forced women into Burqas, crushed all dissent and freedom of expression, blew up a historic treasure in the Bamiyan Buddhas, and *stoned women to death* in public executions in Kabul’s soccer stadium.

*This* horror is what a pious Mohammedan considers “ultimate success”. *Ugh*.

    “Afghanistan doesn’t need US troops”.

Turn about is fair play: NO non-Muslim country anywhere in the world needs *any* “soldiers of allah” and their camp followers, be those ‘soldiers of allah’ Afghan Mohammedans or any other kind of mohammedan at all.

So how’s about all those Afghan mohammedans who are currently causing all kinds of trouble in, for example, **Greece**, get given the boot, right back to Afghanistan?

And once Australian and British and American soldiers and associated personnel have all left Afghanistan, *not one single* Afghan Mohammedan should ever be permitted to enter Australia, or Britain, or the USA, or Canada.

    NOT ONE.

I wonder what kind of *howl* would be emitted by Karzai and company if such a policy were announced – and then resolutely **enforced** – by every non-Muslim country that is pulling its soldiers out of the Afghan Mohammedan hell-pit?

one thing he did say which was correct is

“United States it could bring peace to Afghanistan if it went after terrorist sanctuaries and countries that supported terrorism, a reference to Pakistan….”

Pakistan is the center of terrorism and is both a friend and enemy of US.

No, they [ these Afghani and Pakistani governments] can’t have things both ways. The Pakistanis and other Muslim entities in West and Central Asia are literally biting the American, British, and Australian hands who’ve been feeding them with our blood, materiel and uncountable gazillions of US Dollars. The cannot possibly be our friends acting the way the way they do.
We Americans [ yes, I keep saying this…] simply aren’t equipped to deal with Asian duplicity as a way of life. We aren’t wired the same way. That’s a compliment.
How can we Americans in our young country hope to manage our affaires in Asia in our favor with only two centuries’ experience in “foreign entanglements”….against the millennia of various Asian’s experience in slitting each others’ throats? Silently.
Benjamin Franklin in Paris was very sly, wise and canny. Jefferson, I believe, was the American president to send the newly formed Unites States Marines “to the shores of Tripoli” to let the Muslim Barbary pirates’ know that the days of their receiving “tribute” from American merchant ships was over. So very over. But, “Tripoli” has a familiar ring [clash] to it, correct?
Skip ahead now to 1917 and Woodrow Wilson and our reluctant involvement in France. Skip further ahead to Lend Lease, “Bundles for Britain” – my mother gathered one up and had it sent over to England. The post war period and the Marshall Plan literally put devastated Europe back on their very wounded feet. Then N.A.T.O. – more continuing American cash.
Then the august le grande deGaulle wanted “…all Americans out of France.” Dean Rusk asked in return, not entirely rhetorically, “Does he mean out of the American cemeteries in France also?”

Right. Now our Muslim problem has re-surfaced here and there, notably in New York and Northern Virginia with a vengeance, like a Jack-in-the-Box in various places. We come now to triple-dealing Karzai, Maliki & Co.

Now, let them kill each other. Isolation and containment are the only way to handle these Muslims. We Americans simply aren’t equipped to “deal” with these snakes. No more American blood. No more American materiel, no more United States Dollars. No more.

The war is now on our shore as well, as you have said, NY, Northern VA. There is no way we can wait for them to kill each other, they are after us on our soil.

Karzai says Afghanistan doesn’t need US troops
    ……………………………

I hope ol’ Hamid’s already got his bags packed so that he can decamp to the United States as soon as the Taliban surges back into power—he’d better have, at least, unless he wants to wind up from his predecessor, hanging from a lamppost…

Chances are, though, as hinted at by some posters above, Karzai believes that the Americans *will* stay, but will beg Karzai to let them, and offer all sorts of goodies in order to do so—while he can make a great show of standing up to the “Great Satan”.

Let’s hope he’s pushed things too far, though, and we actually *do* pull out of this hopeless hellhole.

U.S. Special Forces don’t need to stay in Taliban Land to slay the jihadis. They can all come home and slay ’em here. The head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has bragged that over 400 of his little troopers are here, with targets already picked out for when they get the order to attack. They can even forget about those guys and just sit on the border, waiting for more to stroll across courtesy of Obama’s refusal to enforce our laws.

And what a total ingrate Karzai is. Here we’ve expended untold billions in his country, with millions no doubt going into his own pockets, and we don’t even get a thank you. He’d better watch it or he’s gonna give islam a bad name.
