Of course the “Palestinians” haven’t been doing their part to secure peace, because Obama’s assertion that a State of Palestine could coexist peacefully with the State of Israel is yet another example of his fantasy-based policymaking. In reality, a State of Palestine would be just another base to wage jihad against a weakened and diminished Jewish State. “Obama gets lecture on peace talks from Netanyahu in White House meeting,” by Michael Wilner for the Jerusalem Post, March 3 (thanks to Jerk Chicken):
WASHINGTON – Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with US President Barack Obama in the Oval Office on Monday, pushing back against pressure from the White House to swiftly cut a deal with the Palestinians as the president warned time was running out for peace.
“Israel has been doing its part, and I regret to say that the Palestinians haven’t,” Netanyahu said to Obama, in front of the press. “The people of Israel know that it’s the case.”
“What we want is peace – not a piece of paper,” he said.
Netanyahu called for a “real peace… based on mutual recognition,” and chided his Palestinian counterparts for promoting “incessant violence” against the Jewish state.
“Israel, the Jewish state, is the realization of the Jewish people’s right to self-determination,” Netanyahu said. “I think it’s about time they recognized a nation state for the Jewish people.
We’ve only been here for about 4,000 years.”
Netanyahu is the first Israeli prime minister to formally call on the Palestinians to recognize Israel as the Jewish homeland – what he has called the “minimal requirement” for peace.
“The only peace that will endure is a peace that we can defend,” he added….

Well, i can only plead stupid once. I started to see and learn. If enough of us speak of the Progressive lie maybe we sill survive, but i fear we are doomed no matter who leads us. I would prefer it to be someone not affiliated with Islam.

Well he said it all.

Several countries are homelands for Arabs, including Jordan where the majority call themselves ‘Palestinian’. Jordan is 70% of the Palestine Mandate, so it is Jordan.
A Jewish homeland in the 30% of the Palestine Mandate is not unreasonable, especially when Arabic is an official language. The opponents of Israel need to get a life.

The lead Palestinian negotiator stated openly in a recent Al Jazeera interview that to make peace with Israel and acknowledge its right to exist would require him “…to change his religion.” This is a statement of fact that can be researched, not hearsay.
That single statement by the lead negotiator shows that Palestinian negotiations with Israel are a cynical charade. No one anywhere is going to negotiate in sincerity contrary to their religion. Least of all hard-core Islamists.
The USA is pressuring Israel to commit suicide.

I M glad Bibi stood up to the idiot in chief. It’s interesting that Palestinians are really a conglomeration of people from other nations who don’t want them back. Egypt builds borders to keep them out of Egypt so why pick on Israel. I am tired of obozo bullying other leaders – like somehow his opinion should outweigh everyone else’s. He and his sidekick JK.

Well said by Netanyahu. Mutual respect and recognition is the key to peace.
I recalled what Hamas politico top dog Khalid Mashal said in an interview for a documentary of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, ” There is no conflict for me to be a Palestinian nationalist and a Muslim, son of the Ummah”. The enmity of Jihadists to Jews and Israel inevitably hinders the nationalist struggle.

Bibi is putting up a front now, i believe to appease O, as the Palestinians ( really no such people, all just outcasts from other countries), will never sit down in good faith. Read todays NYTimes article. BTW, Israel’s worst enemies are stupid American Jews, thank goodness i continue to learn.

Obama looks like he is just impatient and wanting the meeting over. He does not care about Israel, we know it as a fact.

I *wish* this were just ineptitude, Robert—but the Obama administration is the most most antisemitic in US history—worse, even than Jimmy Carter’s.

Good for Mr. Netanyahu. Much as I believe that the Chosen People of God are gathered around the Messiah rather than in a strip of Middle Eastern land, I think Netanyahu told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I pray for the best for him and his country.
