One would think that stories like this, which make it so abundantly clear that gays face persecution and death under Sharia, would lead gay groups in the United States to support anti-Sharia laws. But they don’t, of course, preferring instead to side with the oppressor. When Pamela Geller and I ran a series of ads in San Francisco calling attention to Sharia mistreatment of gays, not only did gay groups not support us, but the San Francisco City Council actually condemned the ad (the first time they have such a thing) and gay activist Chris Stedman wrote articles denouncing and smearing us.
These gay activists will not, for all that, be spared execution when the Sharia they have aided and abetted finally comes to them.
“Iran Executes Two for ‘Perversion,’” by Adam Kredo for the Washington Free Beacon, March 3:
Iran executed two gay men on Sunday for the crime of “perversion” and has sentenced a third individual to death for “insulting the prophet,” according to human rights activists tracking the situation.
The head of Iran’s judiciary department in the northern city of Rasht announced on Sunday that two homosexual men had been executed for “perversion,” which is considered a severe crime under Iran’s hardline Islamic law.
The executions come less than two months after Iranian authorities publicly hanged 40 individuals in a two-week period. Iran is executing at least two people a day, according to activists.
Executions in Iran have surged over the past year with well more than 500 being killed for crimes ranging from “waging war against God” to misdemeanor drug charges that would carry minimal penalties in Western countries.
State-sanctioned killings have spiked since the election of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who initially vowed to address the issue.
Not much is known about the two men executed over the weekend due to Iranian efforts to sweep such executions under the rug, according to Banafsheh Zand, an Iranian political and human rights activist.
The two men had been held in central prison near Rasht before being killed. The crime of “perversion” is a cover-all under Iran’s hardline brand of Sharia law and typically accounts for offenses that are seen as going “against morality,” according to Zand.
The Iranian Judiciary also upheld the death sentence for a 34-year-old man who was arrested at his home and charged with “insulting the Prophet.”
Rouhollah Tavana was seized by authorities in 2011.
Intelligence officials reportedly “confiscated a private video recording of Tavana on his personal computer, in which while under the influence of alcohol he allegedly uttered a phrase the judge interpreted as insulting the Prophet of Islam,” according to the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran (ICHRI)….

You all just do not understand!!
When Putin/Russia/Sochi officially disallowed being gay, that was a human rights issue.
When Iran executes gays it is a religious issue. It is part of that religious culture. We have to respect their religion and culture, mainly because it isn’t Christian.

Are you for real?? Are you playing devil’s advocate or are you actually that…can’t even think of a word to describe you. Religion is not set in stone, it can and is manipulated and interpreted by humans. You cannot abuse or murder someone and use your religion as an excuse. What if the person you abuse or murder doesn’t share your beliefs. What if someone with a different religion to you decides that it’s ok to murder you because you do something they don’t agree with? May I suggest studying literature, history and philosophy to expand your thought capacity.

Gay groups are more concerned about destroying western civilization and Christianity then actually helping anyone, even if they are gay. Thats why they dont speak up about atrocities in the Islamic World, since there is nothing to gain there.
Kepha says
Mike, you are absolutely right. I guess I figured out that the LGBT’s wouldn’t be helpful–oddly enough–when I noted that their reaction to those teen-abusing RC priests was gloating rather than solidarity with brothers who were initiating the young (people at an age when sexual experimentation is supposed to be the norm, according to our cultural revolutionaries) into something supposedly “beautiful”. After all, if Harvey Milk, who preyed on young runaways in SF back when, is a hero, why aren’t these defrocked and jailed priests?
Our whole problem is that our cultural, government, legal, and academic establishment is rushing hell for leather to destroy rather than preserve our civilization. As John Lennon said, imagine a world in which everyone lives for today. Well, we have it in our establishment’s current crusade, so the LGBT component can’t see the tomorrow when they will be killed by their EmCeePeeCee allies.

If you search the BBC and Reuters websites for this news you will find that they are also ignoring it. I doubt if any of the major newspapers will have had the courage to notice it, either.
A large part of the problem is that the Western media and governments either ignore these events or present them in such a way that the underlying cause (Islam, of course) is obscured.
If we can shine the light of day on Islam, it will wither away in shame and self-disgust.

Criticism has its limits, creative thinking with regard to solving the problem of Islam might not be your cup of tea, critical mind into the creative space don’t go.

…………………..
I’m afraid I don’t believe that, Aardvark. Were that the case, the appalling Islamic Republic of Iran would have imploded long since.
For that matter, so would Islam itself.
The naïve West may be unfamiliar with much of the savagery of Islam, but Muslims—especially Muslims in Dar-al-Islam—certainly are not.
For one thing, this was a public hanging—the Mullahs were not trying to hide their savagery at all. Chop-chop square in Saudi Arabia is public; most stonings are not just public but are *carried out* by the public.
This sort of overt barbarism doesn’t cause Islam to “wither away in shame and self-disgust”—instead, it further emboldens it.
Aardvark says
Graven, I think it would make a big difference if the disgust felt by most people in the West was shown openly, particularly by the media. At the moment, they (the media) are all pretending that these barbaric practices are either acceptable because they are part of another culture and therefore cannot be criticised, or they don’t happen at all in the first place. Stoning, beheading, FGM, child rape and all the sickening rest are NOT acceptable, and we should be saying so, loudly and frequently, not turning a blind eye. If there is no sense of shame in the Islamic world at the moment then it is because they know no better, and no-one is enlightening them. We (the West) should be enlightening them, and that is what I meant by shining a light.

Aardvark, thanks for your detailed reply.
I could not agree with you more on the above. That Western media so often ignores these stories—and often presents them in a morally equivalent light when it *does* report them—is ethically appalling, and suicidally short-sighted.

Here, I’m afraid, is where I have to—respectfully—disagree with your analysis, Aardvark.
For the most part, pious Muslims don’t engage in barbarism because they are ignorant of goodness and decency, but because the *reject* goodness and decency because they consider such un-Islamic.
After all, pre-revolutionary Iran, though hardly perfect, was much more civilized than the sanguinary Islamic theocracy Iran embraces now.
It wasn’t ignorance that led to the imposition of Shari’ah—it was quite deliberate.
And remember that the vile Ayatollah Khomeini lived in civilized France before the Islamic revolution. He could have worked to turn post-Shah Iran into an enlightened nation on the basis of that model, but he had no intention of doing so.
Moreover, pious Muslims don’t just want to turn imperfect places like the Shah’s Iran into bloody Shari’ah hell-holes; they want to do the same to places like France, Britain, and the United States.
For instance, Muslim troll Rezali Mehil—find one of her ugly posts, below—is an Iranian Muslim who currently lives in England, and yet she wants to see barbaric Islamic law imposed there. This is not because she is ignorant of modern law there, but because as a pious Muslim she rejects it.
I doubt very much that devout Muslims will care what the “filthy Kuffar” think about the savagery of Shari’ah—but we need to spread the word so that our fellow Infidels can understand what we are up against.
If a few decent Muslims along the way wake up to what a truly vicious creed they are part of and leave Islam, no one will be happier than myself.
But I believe that main issue is to alert our fellow Infidels, so that we can ensure that this barbarism is never imposed here.

Hello all,
As you will have seen by now that being gay in Islam is not conducive to your good health. Homosexuality of the male or female variety is prohibited strictly .
You can see that even in African countries, Uganda, Kenya where Islam does not (yet) dominate this vile practice is shunned.
Really it is only the promiscuous West that wants to experiment what Allah SWT does not want for his slaves….apart from anything else gays cannot have children (can they Graven?) .
For those of you who are “gay ” or considering to become gay because it is fashionable – forget it. …You can unlearn the practice and clean your morals up at the same time – no need to get hung up on the idea.
