“Some people said they saw burned pages of the Quran in a garbage bin near the home of a Hindu man.” That was all it took. It could have been planted (as a Muslim cleric planted burned Qur’an pages to frame a Christian girl for blasphemy in 2011), or the Hindu may have burned it inadvertently among items left behind by the Muslim family who rented his house to him. In any case, it is madness to riot and burn a Hindu center over such a thing, but no one dares call it madness, and so it will continue.
“Crowd sets fire to Hindu center in Pakistan,” by Adil Jawad for the Associated Press, March 16 (thanks to A):
KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) — An angry crowd set fire to a Hindu community center in southern Pakistan after allegations circulated that a Hindu had desecrated Islam’s holy book, police said Sunday.
The incident took place overnight in the city of Larkana in Sindh province after some people said they saw burned pages of the Quran in a garbage bin near the home of a Hindu man, said Anwar Laghari, the area police officer.
Violence triggered by allegations of Quran desecration and other allegedly blasphemous acts is common in conservative Pakistan. A controversial Pakistani law imposes the death penalty, but sometimes crowds take the law into their own hands and attacked the accused, often members of a religious minority in the majority Sunni Muslim state.
Laghari said that a crowd of about 200 angry people gathered and attacked the community center, which was next to a Hindu temple. He said the building was partly gutted, while the alleged desecrater and his family members were taken into protective custody.
The officer said initial investigation revealed that the Hindu rented the house from a Muslim family and cleaned it before he moved in. He may have burned the holy book inadvertently, the policeman said.
Crowds also attacked Hindu property in the nearby towns of Usta Mohammad, Dera Allah Yar and Sohbat Pur, but they were dispersed by police, senior officer Syed Ashfaq Anwar said. They are in a part of adjoining Baluchistan province where significant numbers of Hindus live.
Anwar said dozens attempted to set fire to a temple and some shops owned by Hindus. Police fired tear gas shot and shot into the air. He said someone from the crowd fired at the police, and two civilians and an officer were wounded.

But nothing happens if it’s not Allah’s Will. So, burning a few pages of a plagiarized book must’ve had divine approval. So, why are all the clowns in the photo getting so worked up.
It was Allah’s Will, you clowns!

Well, allah clearly did so to test the faith of those muslims, even though according to islam he’s all knowing so he should know how pious those muslims were without that. But hey, if logic mattered islam wouldn’t exist in the first place.

The article refers to these savages as a ‘crowd’ several times, trying to avoid the image of a ‘mob’ of out of control pious Mahoundians.’. So when does a crowd become a mob? When it is lead by ‘Rage Boy’, front right with his fly trap wide open. Some peaceful Hindu’s can’t stand up against a mob like that. Only, Tear gas, water canon, big black dogs, and if necessary heavy weaponry.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
So when does a crowd become a mob?
Important question. My take is that a crowd becomes a mob takes on a mass psychology that puts them all on the same subject with the same opinion, justification and goal.
Closer to home, an example of this when a group of Chicago teens with the welfare mama no dad Great Society syndrome gets all Tweeted together and proceed to flash attack white people they find dashing through the Gold Coast streets.

It’s not just Hindus that are problematic to India’s islam0nazis. Anwar Sheikh, a former Pakistaini muslime, wrote: Islam, the Arab Imperialism after leaving Pakistain for the UK, renouncing islam (getting death threats for that last action) and embracing the Hindu faith. He described how Sikhs and Hindus were fair game following the ’48’ partition and his personal involvement in the murder of two Sikh men for the crime of being non-muslim in Pakistain in ’48’.

Or they decided to make up a story to justify doing what they did. Remember, officially the Benghazi attack was a spontaneous manifestation about a movie on YT seen only by 10-20 people before the attack on the embassy.

“How can people burn holy books in this day and age?” – I am also left my head scratching a bit. Perhaps it is not a holy book that it claimed to be if it burn like any other book. A tough question that I guess would have had Einstein fumbling. We will never know unless we figure to fly into the future and return instantaneously. Perhaps you will find the answer in the Islamic holy book or in the theory of Very Special Islamic Relativity (don’t know what it is – it must be in the Quran).

Hindu temple set on fire in Pakistan over blasphemy
Here’s the interesting bit:
“Hundreds of students from local Islamic seminaries attacked the temple holding batons, one witness, Javed Shah, said.”
Muslim ‘seminary students’…
I think the whole thing was *pre-planned*.
Islam: It’s a Riot.
More:
“It took nearly 20 minutes to break down the doors (of the temple) before they entered the compound and set it on fire. They also set fire to the temple before ransacking it.”
And here, I think, may be a clue as to why this mob assault upon a Hindu community has happened just *now*:
“The Hindu Panchayat Council, a representative body of Hindu minorities [in Pakistan], has appealed on Hindus to keep a low profile while celebrating the ongoing Holi festival of colors.”
In other words: the Muslim mob attacks and destroys a Hindu temple, and *also* attacks Hindu homes and shops, **during the time of a Hindu festival**.
Because non-Muslims in a Muslim land have to be subdued; they are not supposed to publicly display and practice their beliefs.
Worldwide, both now and in the past, there is a pattern of Muslims attacking non-Muslims specifically at times when said non-Muslims are celebrating or preparing to celebrate their (non-Muslim) festivals, whether religious or secular.
By the way, just to get an idea of what Holi is all about:
http://www.holifestival.org/holi-festival.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holi
Spring, light, life, colours, and being a bit – or a lot – silly.
One can see why the Mohammedans hate the very idea of it; *their* idea of fun is a mob of howling thugs going on a rampage, murdering, burning, killing, hurting, robbing, terrorising those weaker than themselves.

And to think my that in my first comment on this subject i suggested that the burned quran explanation was a fib. Should have played the lottery this week >_<

Thank you for the additional information, DDA—that these were Muslim “seminary” students and that this took place during a Hindu festival means almost certainly that this riot was pre-planned—probably by the Imams at the “seminary” itself.
You wrote, re Holi:
Spring, light, life, colours, and being a bit – or a lot – silly.
…………………………………
I have a salient story to tell here. The first time I ever heard of Holi I was quite a small girl—six or seven. I read about it in an issue of Reader’s Digest. This was a long time ago, but I remember the main points.
A young Christian missionary in India was roused from her studies by two of her new converts. They were in high spirits and giggling and wouldn’t tell her where they were taking her.
When they got to the square she found that happy crowds of people were lightly pelting each other with balloons full of pigment.
In moments, she and her companions were covered in a rainbow of color.
She had just a quick pang of concern—was she taking part in some sort of pagan festival? After all, she had no idea what they were celebrating, and her two companions were so new to Christianity that they might not know whether participating in this holiday was profane or not.
She took a closer look at her beaming, happy neighbors and decided that nothing so joyful could really go against the love of Christ.
So she joined in the fun.
That story has really stuck with me.
gravenimage says
One other thing—Holi is a happily noisy festival—which probably makes it especially Haram with oppressive Mohammedans, who force dhimmis to say, per the Pact of Umar, “We shall not manifest our religion publicly…”
Defcon 4 says
You know what one of the popular islamic rituals carried out in the Indian sub-continent is? The public, bloody, ritual slaughter of cattle.
gravenimage says
Very true, Defcon 4—that would be the bloody Eid-al-Adha, or celebration of sacrifice.
And then there is the Shi’ite “celebration” of Ashura, with Muslim boys and men bloodying themselves with swords and chains.
The ugliest thing about this ugly festival? That Muslim parents bloody the heads of their own little children, including babes in arms.

It should come as no surprise that even Muslim festivals are orgies of blood and death.

“at least 70% of the rioters were grossly inbred. 100% of them were cowards.
at least 70% of the rioters were illiterate. at least 90% per cent were male but there were no actual men there, as men will often be reasonable and dignified, otherwise they are branded as barbarians. the stench was overwhelming, the rhetoric embarrassingly child like and the self pity and playing the hurt moslem was extremely pathetic.”
i could go on.. and on. and on.

Pakistan: Enraged Muslim mob burns Hindu center over rumors of Qur’an desecration
“Some people said they saw burned pages of the Quran in a garbage bin near the home of a Hindu man.” That was all it took…
……………………………………
Sometimes this *is* all it takes—but sometimes, as noted by several posters above, the story is just a pretext for a pre-planned riot.
More:
It could have been planted (as a Muslim cleric planted burned Qur’an pages to frame a Christian girl for blasphemy in 2011), or the Hindu may have burned it inadvertently…
……………………………………
Or the no one may have even bothered to go to the trouble of planting it. Just the planted *rumor* of Qur’an desecration is enough.
Some riots have gone off on multiple, *contradictory* rumors.
More:
KARACHI, Pakistan (AP) — An angry crowd set fire to a Hindu community center in southern Pakistan after allegations circulated that a Hindu had desecrated Islam’s holy book, police said Sunday.
……………………………………
Note the usual collective punishment—even if this story *were* true it would concern only an individual. But islam is s a collectivist creed, and this is how they “think”.
More:
A controversial Pakistani law imposes the death penalty, but sometimes crowds take the law into their own hands and attacked the accused, often members of a religious minority in the majority Sunni Muslim state.
……………………………………
And this is why the victims can seldom expect much protection from the state…
More:
He said the building was partly gutted, while the alleged desecrater and his family members were taken into protective custody.
……………………………………
“Protective custody”—in other words, the *victims* were arrested. This is *very* common in Pakistan and other parts of Dar-al-Islam.
More:
The officer said initial investigation revealed that the Hindu rented the house from a Muslim family…
……………………………………
This in an of itself may have provided part of the motive—most pious Muslims believe that Islam should *never* lose ground to Kuffar—even in the case of a house occupied by Muslims later being used by Infidels (even if it is just rented to them).
More:
Crowds also attacked Hindu property in the nearby towns of Usta Mohammad, Dera Allah Yar and Sohbat Pur, but they were dispersed by police, senior officer Syed Ashfaq Anwar said…
Anwar said dozens attempted to set fire to a temple and some shops owned by Hindus…
……………………………………
And the collective punishment continues—here on to shops and *neighboring towns*. But this has *always* been true of Islam—if a dhimmi is accused of violating the strictures of dhimmitude, then the entire community loses its “protection”. Just what constitutes the community is basically whatever the violent Muslim mob deems it to be.
More:
Police fired tear gas shot and shot into the air. He said someone from the crowd fired at the police, and two civilians and an officer were wounded.
……………………………………
And yet, recall that it was the *victim* who was arrested—were any arrests made over the police officer being shot? I wouldn’t count on it…
