Thursday night on my regular weekly appearance on Michael’s Sun TV show. Topics (as summarized by AlohaSnackbar01, who kindly posted the video):
1) The sentencing of Lee Rigby’s murderers and the stupid comments made by Mr. Judge “Imam” Sweeney.
2) The Southern Povery Law Center excuses more Islamic hate groups.
3) Liberal media darling Moazzam Begg arrested on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences.
4) Muslims in Crimea.

Spencer and Coren, always to the point. No waffle. It’s good to be able to watch these on YouTube now thanks to AlohaSnackbar.

1)Michael Coren: “The judge said…’I understand Islam, you (Adebolajo) don’t!’ How arrogant!”
2)SPLC says hating white Christians is APPROVED and not described as ‘HATE’.
Oh, really? Hating white Christians is approved.
Does SPLC have any credibility left now?
3)Jihad in Crimea? Oh, great. More ethnic cleansing of non-Muslims, says my crystal ball.

Great video as always with Robert Spenser and Michael Coren
On the last point about Muslims in the Crimea, I heard about it first NPR from their typical slanted perspective.
I was initially puzzled about their seeming 24 hour non-stop coverage about Ukraine. I now suspect that it at least partially relates to Muslims in the Crimea.
And to think I unfairly assumed they were just trying to avoid covering stories about Islamic violence against Christians and Jews.

Always worthwhile listening to the give and take between Coren and Spencer. Did not know about the Muslim element in the Crimaea till now. Not a fan of Putin but if Muslims are against him I feel compelled to soften my antipathy towards him.

Is it possible that the judge was being “tongue in cheek”?
Thinking about it , it will be a lot easier to clean up society by calling these jihadis criminals, than it will be to challenge the murderous teachings of their belief system, as being against the law of the land and therefore subordinate to the law of the land, in a trial.

Robert ,as Watcher says it is difficult to challenge the murderous teachings of the accused belief system, as being against the law of the land and therefore subordinate to the law of the land, in a trial.
The judge as Michael Coren says does not have the expertise on Islam and he does not reveal his other sources (where elsewhere is) from which he make his judgment.
Judge Sweeney told them: ”You each converted to Islam some years ago. Thereafter you were radicalised and each became an extremist, espousing views which, as has been said elsewhere, are a betrayal of Islam.”
Question for you then.
Yes, I agree the judge was wrong about what he said in the paragraph quoted above, but what did you expect the judge to do or say?
Your answer should be something along the lines of what is in this excellent post below.
http://www.jihadwatch.org/2014/01/dallas-muslim-group-to-hold-5k-walk-against-islamophobia
“If Unleashed really wants to end “Islamophobia,” here is how they can accomplish it. They can call upon Muslim individuals and groups to:”
Then follows 6 excellent points.
http://voiceofdharma.org/books/tcqp/
or what this author below said the judge should have done or said in this particular case where the applicant/petitioner tried to ban the Quran.
http://voiceofdharma.org/books/tcqp/chi2.htm
see particular this chapter where the author discusses the judgment.
THE JUDGMENT MISSES THE MAIN POINT
” The real issue raised by the Petition was not what Muslims believe about the Quran but what behaviour pattern the Quran inculcates in its votaries vis-à-vis the unbelievers.
We find that Justice Basak neither faced this issue squarely nor ignored it completely in his judgment. He was not required to face it after he had constructed the legal concept that the Quran is sacred scripture. He could have cited the relevant law which exempts scriptures from legal review, and gone straight ahead to draw the logical conclusion that no court in India can sit in judgment on the contents of the Quran. He, however, chose to make three observations which, though brief, are significant……”
I suppose all judges want to add their flowery bit, and Justice Imam Sweeney of the UK High Court is no different.

I am a tolerant pacifist. I read the Jihad Watch and also the comments carefully. A muslim who happens to be ‘tolerant’ told me that, while studying the Quran, one should take only what is ‘good’ and avoid the inappropriate portions. I have read and studied the Holy Book as carefully as possible and found that there was only one passage which showed the utmost tolerance, and I quote (Chap.109;Verse 6-Sections 1-6) [KAAFIRUUN] “Say: O ye that reject faith! ; I worship not that Which ye worship; Nor will ye worship That which I worship; And I will not worship That which ye have been wont to worship; Nor will ye worship That which I worship; To you be your Way and to me mine. ”
This is the only verse which shows utmost tolerance and does not talk of killing infidels. The rest of the Quran, to my mind, is a diabology (doctrine of the devil) and is not, is not, a theology (doctrine of G-d). In future, it would be appropriate to refer to Islam as a diabology and NOT a theology, as it espouses everything that is the direct opposite of the attributes we assign to G-D.

Robert as another example, this one relates to headings, but illustrates what the question is for you.

“Somalia: Car Bomb Kills 11 in Somali Capital,” from the VOA via AllAfrica.com, February 27
Why not,
“Al-Shabab sets off car bomb,” or “Islamic jihadists set off car bomb”?
so I suppose I am asking you to be the judge and give your summing up to the accused on their sentencing. What would you say in relation to Islam.
I suppose the comment you would make would not invite this outburst from Adebowale who shouted: “That’s a lie. It’s not a betrayal of Islam. You don’t know what Islam is.”( I know that you know what Islam is)
