Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Connecticut: Muslim plotted to bomb federal building and school

Apr 8, 2014 10:41 am By Robert Spencer

A pilot flies a Phantom drone by DJI company at the 4th Intergalactic Meeting of Phantom's Pilots in an open secure area in the Bois de Boulogne, western Paris“In one recording, Fahti says ‘the more he thinks about the case, he laughs because he cannot believe the judge believed him’ in allowing him to seek refuge in the U.S. for political reasons.” How many other would-be jihad murderers are in the U.S. under similar circumstances?

“FBI: Drone-like toy planes in bomb plot,” by Michael P. Mayko for the CTPost.com, April 7 (thanks to Jerk Chicken):

BRIDGEPORT — A Moroccan national who allegedly plotted to turn a radio-controlled model airplane into a drone-like flying bomb and crash it into a school and a Connecticut federal building was arrested Monday by FBI agents.

Wires and tools were found in the High Ridge Drive apartment where El Mehdi Semlali Fahti, 27, had been living since January with an individual he met while incarcerated in Virginia, according to the FBI. It was not known if any explosives were found.

Fahti told an undercover agent in five recorded conversations that he studied the bomb attack operation for months, and had made a chemical bomb while in high school in Morocco, court documents charge. The recordings additionally claim he could obtain whatever else he needed for his plans in “Southern California on the border.”

He said funding would come from “secret accounts” comprised of money-laundered cash and drug dealing profits, the FBI said.

An affidavit filed by FBI Special Agent Anabela Sharp does not specifically identify either building that Fahti allegedly targeted, except to say one was an out-of-state school and the other a federal building in Connecticut.

Fahti does not face federal terrorism charges at this time; those could come later when Assistant U.S. Attorney Krishna Patel takes the evidence to a federal grand jury while seeking an indictment.

Fahti is accused of making a false statement, falsely swearing under oath and falsifying declarations to a federal Immigration judge. Those actions allowed him to stay in the U.S. for seven years after his student visa expired and he flunked out of Virginia International University.

Since then, Fahti has traveled across the U.S. He was briefly arrested on a trespassing charge in Virginia, which was later dropped and he was incarcerated in California on a theft charge. He only moved to Bridgeport recently.

On Monday, he appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge William I. Garfinkel, who granted Patel’s request to detain Fahti without bond as a danger to the community and a risk to flee. He was taken to the Wyatt Detention Center in Rhode Island.

Fahti, who is represented by Assistant U.S. Public Defender Paul Thomas, made the false statements seeking political asylum while facing deportation to his native Morocco.

He told the undercover agent he went to the library, researched issues in Morocco and learned about abuses allegedly committed by the Moroccan government on individuals involved with the Jamaat Ansar El-Mehdi and the Western Sahara freedom movement.

He falsely claimed in Immigration Court that he was the victim of arrests, imprisonment and beatings by Moroccan police.

“Everything he wrote in his refugee application coincided with the actual events,” Sharp wrote in her affidavit.

In one recording, Fahti says “the more he thinks about the case, he laughs because he cannot believe the judge believed him” in allowing him to seek refuge in the U.S. for political reasons.

He had wires and tools? I’m in big trouble, we got wires and tools all over the place, inside and out. I have a big box of all kinds of wires. If investigated, I cannot provide a reasonably reason I should be hoarding all those wires.
On the other hand, I’m not making any jijhadi or terrorist threats. If I was, I would expect the authorities to arrest me and confiscate all my wire and tools.

I am COMPELLED, and I do mean COMPELLED … to remind EVERYBODY of the following …

Do you remember all those stories, from years ago, about people, (I have no doubt, shit-for-brains-muslims) shining laser lights into airline pilots’ eyes (landing and taking off) all over the state of Texas? In the hopes, I continue to have no doubt, of nailing Bush Sr. or Jr.?

I’m wondering if his trespass charge wasn’t at a water treatment plant.

        Or a power plant.

        Or a maternity hospital.

        Or an old people’s home.

        Or an elementary school.

Could have been any of those things.

The unholy quran instructs mohammmedans to lie …imagine that!

But this comes as no surprise, since this same unholy book refers to allah as a ‘trickster and deceiver’. Yeah it’s plain to see that islam was founded on evil, and that mohammedans follow the example of an evil hardened criminal: muhammad the murdering marauder, and that allah is NOT the God of the Bible. It’s simple, really–evil in, evil out.

This is the Moslem entrepreneurialism President Obama touted in his apology speech at ol’ U of Cairo. Not just another high tech savvy startup innovator working in his garage, but an admirably non-white one, one who’s come so far since his days in the high school chemistry lab in Morocco, where naturally the curriculum called for bomb making as a practical exercise.

Speaking of chemical explosives, I wonder how the program is going to have NASA improve Moslem self-image.

When I go to the ball game, I usually buy a program that tells me about the teams on the field.
When will our Governments supply us, with programs showing just who is who, when it comes to dealing with Muslims.
Every day, I see more and more of these Jihadis amongst us.
We are playing Muslim Roulette, and we all know how that game ends.

I wonder which mosque in the Bridgeport area he attended? The Times Square bomber, Faisal Shahzad, also hailed from Bridgeport at the time of his arrest. Which mosque did Shahzad attend? Oh, I forgot, religion has nothing to do with this. Sorry.

So, which mosque in the Bridgeport area did El Mehdi Semlali Fahti attend? Remember Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square bomber who hailed from Bridgeport? Which mosque did Shahzad attend? Oh, wait, religion has nothing to do with this. My apologies.

I beg to disagree, somewhat. Those in DC are, for the most part, buffoons, but they do know what they are doing when they keep our borders porous and allow multitudes of muslims to come here. They are trying to destroy the nation. And if some of their muslim friends actually bomb a school or government building, or whatever, what will the regime in DC do ? I’ll bet they’ll use that as an excuse to push for more gun control ! They want us disarmed and at the mercy of their chosen- muslims. Just my opinion.

    He’s a “Moroccan national”.

He’s been in jail already: “living since January with an individual he met while incarcerated in Virginia”.

    Furthermore:

“Fahti is accused of making a false statement, falsely swearing under oath and falsifying declarations to a federal Immigration judge. Those actions allowed him to stay in the U.S. for seven years after his student visa expired and he flunked out of Virginia International University.

“Since then, Fahti has traveled across the U.S.

“He was briefly arrested on a trespassing charge in Virginia, which was later dropped and he was incarcerated in California on a theft charge.”

    Try.
    Convict.
    Jail.
Jail time served: DEPORT!! Boot his azz back to Morocco and let the Moroccan authorities figure out what to do with him.

Memo to the authorities: might be a damn good idea to be deeply sceptical upfront of *all* the elaborate sob stories presented by all identifiably-Muslim seekers of asylum and refugee status.

And all identifiably-Muslim possessors of such status should, I think, have their stories very sceptically and thoroughly cross-checked. Especially if they have committed crimes of any kind since being granted asylum.

Further point: a Muslim seeking asylum may indeed have been tortured, etc, back in whatever Islamic hellpit he comes from. But that doesn’t mean that he would not, if the positions were reversed, have done exactly the same to those about whom he is complaining. And the fact that a Shiite Muslim has been persecuted by Sunnis – for example – does not mean that, once inside the dar al harb, behind enemy lines, he will not act with extreme malevolence against the non-Muslims among whom he finds himself. In Australia, there have been Muslim “refugees” and “asylum seekers” among those involved in sexual assault upon non-Muslim Australian women and girls.

Muslim would-be “refugees” and “asylum seekers” should be told to seek asylum among their own. After all, they have some 57 different countries to choose from. this is why, as an Australian, I feel no obligation whatsoever to take in Buddhist-hating Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar (they can go to Bangladesh, right next door, or to Malaysia or Indonesia, both majority-Muslim) nor to take in Hazara Muslims from Afghanistan (they can go to Shiite Iran, right next door).
