Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

US government promoting Islam in the Czech Republic

Apr 14, 2014 6:06 am By Robert Spencer

IslamCzechIs this Constitutional? No one particularly cares — to care about such questions would be “Islamophobic.” But imagine the outcry if American taxpayers were funding grants from US Embassies to promote Christianity. That would make the front page of the New York Times and be the top story on all the nightly news shows.

“US Government Promoting Islam in Czech Republic,” by Soeren Kern at the Gatestone Institute, April 14:

The Czech government has approved a new project aimed at promoting Islam in public elementary and secondary schools across the country.

The project—Muslims in the Eyes of Czech Schoolchildren—is being spearheaded by a Muslim advocacy group and is being financed by American taxpayers through a grant from the US Embassy in Prague. (The US State Department is also promoting Islam in other European countries.)

The group says the Czech Ministry of Education has authorized it to organize lectures and seminars aimed at “teaching Czech schoolchildren about Islamic beliefs and practices” and at “fighting stereotypes and prejudices about Muslims.”

But critics—there are many—say the project’s underlying objective is to convert non-Muslim children to Islam by bringing proselytizing messages into public schools under the guise of promoting multiculturalism and fighting “Islamophobia.”

The group’s website says the first phase of the project involves “analyzing the accuracy of the information about Islam in Czech textbooks on history, geography and social sciences, and mapping the level of teaching about Islam in Czech grammar schools and other secondary schools.”

The second phase of the project involves the implementation of a three-level program that will “acquaint both pupils and teachers with Islam and Muslims” and help them to develop better “critical reception skills” when analyzing supposedly Islamophobic information.

According to the group’s website:

“The first level acquaints the reader with the history of Islam, the basic religious concepts of tradition and contemporary issues such as family [Sharia] law, the veiling of women and Islamophobia.”

“The second level offers a deeper look at the issues and puts more emphasis on the involvement of the pupils.… Pupils will be divided into three groups within which they will study any of the following topics: the veiling of women, media coverage of Islam and Muslims in the Czech Republic. Each group will be led by an experienced tutor, who will acquaint students with the problems by means of prepared materials and subsequent debate.”

“The third level provides schools with artistically oriented projects or discussions with Muslims and professionals dealing with Islam. Artistic activities would involve making a film or taking photographs focused on a day in the life of a Muslim or art workshops and competitions focused on the possibility of integrating Muslims into Czech society.”

The group also organizes thematic lectures, workshops and debates for schools or groups of students, many of which are held at the Municipal Library in Prague—and which are more openly geared toward converting Czech youth to Islam.

One such lecture entitled “Paths of Young Czech Women to Islam” answers questions such as: What makes a young Czech woman want to become a Muslim? It is the main motive always falling in love with a Muslim man or are there other reasons? How does one convert to Islam? How can new Muslims cope with non-Muslim relatives?

Another lecture entitled “Koran, Sunna and the Internet: Where to Do Muslims Get Their Information?” answers questions such as: Where can one get information about the Muslim faith? Is the Koran the only source of information about Islam or are there other sources? Where can one find information that is not mentioned directly in the Koran? The lecture is supplemented by providing students with hands-on opportunities to work with various Islamic texts, including the Koran and the Hadiths [sayings of the Prophet Mohammed].

Students wanting to participate in the lectures but lacking previous knowledge of Islam are advised to attend a 15-minute introductory course that “represents the characteristics of Islam and advocates it in the context of Christianity and Judaism.” The lectures are “suitable for children from about the age of 15, although it is possible to customize the program for younger pupils.”

A statement on the group’s website justifies the project this way:

“The Muslim community in the Czech Republic is small, but it raises strong emotions. Issues relating to Muslims or Islam appear almost daily in television news, newspapers and Internet debates. But the topic is discussed only marginally in regular school lessons. This condition leads to acceptance and subsequent consolidation of prejudices and stereotypes that are supported by latent Islamophobia. We would like this project to contribute to improving the situation. We provide information about Islam that is factually accurate. Students will also have the opportunity to meet with Muslims and get to know them before forming an opinion of them.”

One of the co-founders of the project, a Czech-Palestinian named Sadi Shanaah, was quoted by the Prague Post as saying, “School lessons do not pay sufficient attention to Islam. Pupils want to learn more about it.”

But the group recently ran an advertisement promising to pay 250 Czech korunas ($13 dollars) to any student aged 15 to 18 years who would agree to attend a two-hour presentation about Islam.

The ad—which indicates that the American embassy in Prague was financing the April 2 event—states: “Event will take place at a school in New Butovice (7 minutes’ walk from the metro station). You get a brief introduction to Islam through which you can learn more about the veiling of Muslim women, media coverage and Muslims in the Czech Republic. Then you will have the opportunity to meet with Amirah, a Malaysian Muslim who is studying medicine in Prague, and to ask her everything you want about Islam or Muslim life in the Czech Republic.”

The Czech Republic is home to a small but rapidly growing Muslim population. Although reliable figures do not exist, it is estimated that the number of Muslims in the country now exceeds 10,000 (some say the figure is closer to 5,000, while others say it exceeds 15,000), up from 3,699 in the 2001 census, and 495 in the 1991 census.

Using 10,000 as the baseline figure, the Muslim population currently comprises around 0.1% of the total Czech population of 10.4 million. This percentage is far lower than most European countries, but the rate of increase is nearly 2,000% since 1991, and 170% since 2001.

Most Muslims in the Czech Republic are immigrants from Afghanistan, Bosnia, Chechnya, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria and Turkey. But a study produced for the Czech Interior Ministry in 2007 (it estimated there were a total of 11,235 Muslims in the country in 2005) found that there were also a large number of Czech converts to Islam.

It is estimated that at least 2,000 Czechs have converted to Islam since the end of Communist rule in 1989. Many are women who have married Muslims, but just as many are young males who are “looking to Islam in their search for spirituality,” according to Radio Free Europe.

The Interior Ministry report says the majority of Muslims in the Czech Republic are well educated and economically successful. “Muslims who belong to the core of the community are often university-educated people. Among them are doctors, architects, teachers, economists, businessmen and others,” the report says.

On the other hand, as the Muslim population grows, so do tensions with the population at large.

In November 2013, two Muslim women threatened to file an anti-discrimination lawsuit against a nursing school in Prague after they were asked to remove their hijab head covering in class.

“The principal summoned me and told me: ‘If you want to be in the school, you must not wear the scarf.’ I said this was against my religion as I am a Muslim,” Nasra, one of the women, told Czech Television.

The school defended itself, saying that although Czech law does not regulate the wearing of headgear, the school’s dress code bans the practice. The school also said the women, one from Somalia aged 23, and another from Afghanistan aged 25, disagreed with the compulsory physical education and the conditions of compulsory practice.

More recently, Muslims in the Czech Republic have tried to ban a book about Islam they say is Islamophobic.

The book, Islam and Islamism, was written by Lukas Lhot’an, a former Muslim who is now an apostate from Islam. Released in 2011, the book describes how some Muslims are abusing the ideology of multiculturalism to infiltrate Czech schools.

Lhot’an, who spent 12 years among Muslims in Brno, the second-largest city in the Czech Republic, says Muslim institutions in the country are now headed by Islamists who dominate the entire Islamic community. He accuses Muslim extremists of giving lectures aimed at recruiting converts and new jihad fighters, and alleges that Czech mosques are being controlled by Saudi Arabia.

The Islamic Center of Prague has filed a ten-page criminal complaint against Lhot’an, accusing him of promoting hatred, while the head of the Muslim community in Brno, Muneeb Hassan Alrawi has this to say about Lhot’an: “He is a hyperactive idiot, but also an unhappy man. He makes his living from doing harm. The police investigation will only provide publicity to him. He desires nothing but this.”

But others say the objective of the criminal complaint is obvious: Its aim to prevent Lhot’an from disseminating his view of Islam. According to Týden, the book describes extremist tendencies inside the Czech Muslim community and tries to highlight their contempt for democracy and women’s rights and their justification of suicide bombers.

Dhimmi’s aiding dhimmis in creating savages, and we get to pay for it. Isn’t that sweet? It’s good to know our tax money is going to such worthy causes.
Next time Allah blows something up, you can take satisfaction in that you helped pay for it. The US gov under Rasool Obama is engaging in jihad, because it is removing obstacles from the spread of Islam. The US gov has zero business doing this, and I’m going to write to my representative and tell him all about how happy I am to hear this good news.

there is something terribly wrong going on, quite different from the protest that was in the song “For What It’s Worth”, but there certainly is Something going on here, and it is most certainly not clear.

There is most certainly something terribly wrong here but what’s going on is becoming clearer by the minute. Obama and company are most decidely devotees of the pro Muslim Brotherhood version of Islam; that would be the one that adheres to Sharia law, a strict intepretation of the Quran and a rabid hatred for the Jews. The real problem here is that the west has built a seemingly impenetrable wall of denial and abject appeasement for all things Islam, “the religion of peace.” And Obama Inc. is taking full advantage of the west’s blatant ignorance.

Thanks to the CAIR definitions (and Prof. Esposito), we now know that ‘Islamophobia’ refers to ALL CRITICISM of Islam or the supremacist actions of Muslims. There are no exceptions. There is no example of acceptable criticism of Islam.

‘Islamophobia’ is the secular equivalent of ‘blasphemy’ or the Islamic term ‘kufr’. Expressing doubt or criticism about any Islamic doctrine is punishable by a death sentence that can be carried out by any person with or without state approval, because Allah’s law trumps national law.

    Now you know.

Once again we see the petrodollar money being used to buy influence in a Western country. Someone should explain to the Czechs the principle of abrogation (al nasikh wa al mansukh in Arabic), that the Koran’s chapters are not in chronological order, and that there is a mainstream ideology which says that later chapters such as ch. 9 (at- Taubah) revoke the earlier verses which were there only to protect the vulnerable early Islamic movement from its enemies. Islam, the religion of perpetual warfare against the kuffar and other Muslims who don’t agree with your interpretation. Madness.

Even Muhammad’s first wife must have regretted teaching Muhammad the religion she invented since Muhammad being a thief stole all the credit and made up self-serving verses whenever he desired something.

This is a highly inappropriate use of taxpayer money. There is nothing in the Constitution authorizing foreign aid in the first place. Muslims enter the United States not to become Americans, but for physical security and economic opportunity to support Islamic Terrorism abroad and in the U.S. They use our own legal system to protect themselves, and now they have infiltrated the highest echelons of government to use our money for their causes. Wake up America. This violent and destructive religion has no business here. If you fail to stop this “peaceful religion”, you are likely to end up strangled with your own intestines in the end.

My mother was Czech. She was born in Prague in 1917 and left after 1945 before the Communists took over in 1948. The Roman Catholic Church and other Christians endured 40 years of vicious persecution under Communism. This story made my jaw drop. What is going on here? I can’t believe the Czechs will allow this but the damage done by 40 years of Communism to religion and the large % of young people who know nothing about their Catholic and Protestant roots I have no doubt Muslims will make converts. This will be the end of Europe when Islam starts making converts of the indigenous people who have forgotten their religious and cultural heritage.

    I find this very odd.

Any rational, decent person who actually studies islam, reads the koran, hadiths, and the life of the vile mohammed, and sees how mohammedans put their tenets into practice, throught the world, is *bound* to be revolted and disgusted with this foul cult.

So why insist on even more filthy kuffar gaining knowledge of their vile ‘religion’ ?

I can think of two scenarios here; 1) they will provide information about islam that is a pack of lies, and hope that children and young people will accept it. 2) that mohammedans themselves **just do not understand why the rest of us find their religion so repulsive**.

Apropos of 2); I’ve just come back from a shopping trip , to find a birthday present for my husband. My car is in the garage, so I was forced to take a taxi. Normally, I avoid taxis like the plague, since, in the UK, the majority of taxi firms are run by mohammedans, and even those that aren’t, employ a disproportionate number of mohammedans.

So, I took a taxi. The bloke driving, although obviously foreign, seemed like a nice enough person, so we got to chatting. Long story short, it emerged he was a mohammedan from Kurdistan.

He opined that in the West, people didn’t respect the marriage tie, as they got divorced so frequently and easily.

I countered with the mohammedan “triple talaq”, and how this was a grossly mysoginistic method of divorce, since *women* didn’t have the same rights.

He appeared to be genuinely *astonished* that I would know of this, and asked me if I had studied islam, and if I had, what ‘attracted’ me to it.

I replied that I had read the koran, hadith, and knew a great deal about mohammed, and islam, and that absolutely **nothing** about it, attracted me whatsoever.

His reaction seemed to be **astonishment**.

Now, he may well have been practicing taqyyia, but if he was not, what does this say ? That some mohammedans **genuinely do not understand why we loathe and despise their death cult**.

And this leads me to believe that the gulf between them, and us, is virtually impassible. They **truly** do not see or understand the evilness of their beliefs, and are completely in the dark as to why we don’t immediately embrace islam. (I am of course, only referring to my taxi aquaintance, not creatures such as CAIR, the MB, et al )

I pin my faith to apostates such as our own Saleem, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and others. It **is** possible to struggle out of the mire. But it’s going to be a long and terrible road.

    Unless he was practicing taqqiya,

Historical revisionism is another problem also. In the future look for the textbooks of Czech schoolchildren to fall more in line with the tenets of “multicultural diversity”……just as the textbooks in Pakistan do…..ha!. Have you ever heard of any project in Pakistan called “Christians (or Jews or Hindus, etc.) in the Eyes of Pakistani Schoolchildren”….? No? Well, neither have I. (Even if there was, I wonder what would be taught in such courses?) A prejudice against all things un-Islamic is already inculcated into the minds of Pakistani children as part of their school curriculum.

You cannot make the same mistake again. Anyone who even smiles their way towards Islam cannot be elected any kind of office.
Do Czech kids know that once Islam does take over their proud historical nation then it will be no books, magazines, comics, Movies, Cinema, music, fashionable clothes, holding your lady’s hand in the street – nothing like they are used to?
When I see Putin behave the way he does and the way he sticks his finger up at Obama, that makes me feel good. The only country that will tell America that you will NOT force them to do anything, not help Islam get a foot in their door, nothing.

From the article, describing the book written by a Czech ex-Muslim – “According to Týden, the book describes extremist tendencies inside the Czech Muslim community and tries to highlight their contempt for democracy and women’s rights and their justification of suicide bombers.”

I am reminded of the two British TV documentaries, “Undercover Mosque” and “Undercover Mosque: The Return”, which exposed the twofacedness of Muslims at mosques where they would smile and flatter and play nice to non-Muslims but then, when they thought they were by themselves and there were no prying ears to hear them, their *real* hatred and contempt and malevolent intentions would be openly expressed.

And I am also reminded of a documentary made way back in 2006 by one Jiri Ovecka, entitled “I, Muslim”.

Bad dhimmi! Czech documentary angers Muslims

I don’t know whether the original “Prague Post” link still works, but here it is anyway:

    http://www.praguepost.com/P03/2006/Art/0302/news2.php

    Excerpt:

“The footage in I, Muslim shows a reporter pretending to be someone interested in converting to Islam.

“He conducts several conversations with members of the mosque, located in Černý Most, about Islam, Europe, terrorism and the role of women.

“Ovečka says he stands behind his choice to use the hidden camera footage.

“I wanted to get real opinions of the local Muslim community on the issue — find out what the differences are between Czech and foreign Islam,” he says.

“One Muslim in the documentary compares Islamic terrorists to Jan Palach, the Czech student who committed suicide by setting himself on fire in protest of the 1968 Soviet-led invasion of Czechoslovakia.

“Another says Islamic law should be implemented in the Czech Republic, including the death penalty for adultery, Ovečka says.

“I have to say with 100 percent certainty that by using hidden camera I have learned things that I would never have learned otherwise,” he says. “The result was alarming, and if not for the hidden camera, I would have never had any of this footage.””

I wonder what Ovecka is up to, now?

Perhaps, if he’s still around, and if he hasn’t buckled to Muslim threats and lies, he could do a doco on Lhot’an – how and why he left Islam, and why he wrote his book…which certainly seems to confirm, in spades, what Ovecka himself found out, eight years ago.

The Czech government should kick up one *hell* of a stink about this.

Indeed, they would be entitled to send the current US diplomatic team packing, as having been caught interfering in Czech internal affairs and aiding a hostile Fifth Column which is openly seeking to subvert and destroy Czech political, social and religious freedom.

Paging any Czechs here present: is Milos Zeman still around? Is he maintaining his clarity on Islam?

Here, for others who may not know, is some information on Milos Zeman, a former PM of the Czech republic who back in 2011 said it like it is, about Islam.

    He was sued, of course.

    http://praguemonitor.com/2011/07/08/former-czech-pm-sued-over-statements-islam

Former Czech PM sued over statements on Islam

“Prague, July 7 (CTK) – Retired politician Milos Zeman, Czech prime minister in 1998-2002, faces a criminal complaint over the statements on Islam he made in June at an international conference on Europe.

“The enemy is the anti-civilisation spreading from North Africa to Indonesia. Two billion people live in it and it is financed partly from oil sales and partly from drug sales,” Czech news servers quoted Zeman as saying about Islam at the recent conference.

“Zeman said Thursday Muslims believe in the Koran like Nazis believed in racial supremacy and anti-semitism and communists in class struggle and dictatorship of the proletariat.

“He said Islam is far more aggressive and intolerant than present Christianity, Buddhism, Confucianism and other world religions. (True dat – dda)

“He added that the Koran includes passages calling for the subjugation, enslavement and even elimination of non-believers. {True dat; and it ain’t just the Koran, it’s the Sira and the Hadith as well. – dda)

“Zeman has been known for his strong statements.” END

Let’s just repeat that, shall we:

“The enemy is the anti-civilisation spreading from North Africa to Indonesia. Two billion people live in it and it is financed partly from oil sales and partly from drug sales.”

That’s called hitting the nail on the head. Well said, Mr Zeman.

In the past, of course, the Ummah or Mohammedan Mob also largely subsisted from the proceeds of piracy, plunder, extortion (the dhimma system) and slave-raiding, slave-trading and slave-labour. Many Muslims are *still* involved in these sorts of activities in various ways.

Frankly, I hope that the news of this blatant and brazen da’wa scheme – both the scheme being infiltrated into the schools, and the adjunct program – “…thematic lectures, workshops and debates for schools or groups of students, many of which are held at the Municipal Library in Prague—and which are more openly geared toward converting Czech youth to Islam” – will make Islamosavvy Czech parents and citizens really, really angry.

They should be lighting a fire (metaphorically speaking, of course) under the tails of the Czech Ministry of Education and telling them to cancel the program. Now. Already. And stating loud and clear that the very last thing they want their kids to do is convert to – or even “respect” – a cult that requires the death of every person who criticises or questions it and the death of any person who tries to leave it.

A lot of very pointed letters to the US embassy in the Czech republic, telling them bluntly to butt out of Czech internal affairs and cease funding what amounts to a dangerous Fifth Column in Czech society, would also be in order.

Go for it, Czech jihadwatchers! Make some noise. Make lots of noise. And don’t stop.

Of course, the *reason* the Muslims are pouring on the propaganda, and trying to get at Czech non-Muslim children and youth, is because there is a strong strain of intelligent Islamowariness among Czechs.

I’ve already mentioned the film-maker who made the lid-lifting doco “I, Muslim”, which peeled away the smiling masks to show the Void of hate and aggression they conceal; and I’ve mentioned Milos Zeman and his brilliant summation of the Ummah as an “anti-civilisation”.

But here’s another story, from ten years ago: a Czech country schoolteacher who screwed up his courage to oppose the building of a mosque. His reasons will be of interest to Americans. I’ll repost the salient bits here, for the benefit of all our newer readers who surely will not have come across the story before.

    Czech Mosque plan raises protests

    “TEPLICE, NORTH BOHEMIA:

“Milos Kejzlar angrily recalls the reaction of visiting Arabs [that is: Arab MUSLIMS – dda] in Teplice following the events of 9/11.
“The people of the town were very surprised to see a great number of Arabs [that is: Muslims – dda] here celebrating in the parks and the restaurants after they learned what happened in the U.S.,” he said, downing shots of slivovice at his well-kept house in a leafy suburb.

‘Shocked by some Arabs’ response to the destruction of the World Trade Center and flooded by constant media coverage of [Muslim] terrorist plots, Kejzlar concluded that a mosque a few blocks from his home was a bad idea.
    {A very sensible and logical conclusion – dda}

“It seems that terrorism often springs from those who gather at the mosques and from those who preach from them,” said the 41-year-old high school math teacher.

    {Exactly. – dda}

‘Last spring, after learning of a private company’s plans to erect a temple [sic – dda] to cater to the thousands of Arabs, mostly Saudis, [that is – MUSLIMS – dda] who seek extended medical treatments in this historic spa town, Kejzlar launched a petition against the mosque, which would be the country’s second.

‘An informal prayer house already exists on the proposed site of the 132-square-meter (1,467-square-foot) mosque.

“Islam is a strongly orthodox religion that is based on principles that are contrary to our cultural environment as well as the development of our society,” the petition reads.

“At the time when Arab [he should have written – “Muslim” – dda] terrorism is growing all around the world, it would be very dangerous even to consider granting a permit for such a building. …
“Recently there have been many cases of mosques becoming centers of radical Muslims who preach about the necessity to physically liquidate people of different faiths…”.

To repeat: in the heart of the Czech republic, in September 2011, in a historic spa town where a lot of rich Arab Muslims had come to take the waters, local Czech non-Muslims saw with their own eyes the glee of those Muslims over the September 11 2001 jihad mass-murder attacks:

“Milos Kejzlar angrily recalls the reaction of visiting Arabs [that is: Arab MUSLIMS – dda] in Teplice following the events of 9/11.
“The people of the town were very surprised to see a great number of Arabs [that is: Muslims – dda] here celebrating in the parks and the restaurants after they learned what happened in the U.S.,” he said,.”

Strange that the link to Czech Mosque plan raises protests 2004 No longer exists, yet an article from 1996 still exists

Fears of fundamentalism demolish plans to build mosque in Teplice
      Posted: February 28, 1996
      By Thomas, Susan
After reading a report full of sweeping generalizations about the so-called dangers of the Islamic faith, the city council in Teplice voted overwhelmingly to halt negotiations to build a mosque there.

      Also an update

Arabic investors abandoned their plan for the mosque in Teplice because of the intensive resistence of the local residents….

The story I mentioned from Prague Post, June 24 2004, is real and can be found with a little judicious searching: it has been “cached”.
