Ibrahim A., a 37-year-old Ghanaian Muslim, is being described as a “madman.” However, he was listening to “religious music” on his iPod before he vandalized the churches. One may imagine, given what he did then, that he wasn’t playing Bach, but rather recitations of the Qur’an — perhaps a passage like this one:
And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before, and We were of him well-Knowing when he said to his father and his people, “What are these statues to which you are devoted?” They said, “We found our fathers worshippers of them.” He said, “You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error.” They said, “Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?” He said, “[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify. And [I swear] by Allah , I will surely plan against your idols after you have turned and gone away.” So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question]. (21:51-58)
“Vandal Ibrahim A. rages in four churches of Vienna,” translated from the German story at Politically Inkorrect, March 31 (thanks to Mike):
The statue of St. Jude Thaddaeus in St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna was, among other things, pushed from its base by Ibrahim A. on Saturday afternoon as he committed acts of vandalism in four churches, including St. Stephen’s. As the Archdiocese of Vienna declared on Sunday to Austria Presse Agentur, there has never before been damage to houses of worship to this extent. The total damage wreaked cannot initially even be quantified. Affected are the Lazaristenkirche in Vienna-Neubau, the parish church of Breitenfeld in Vienna-Josefstadt, and the parish church Neuottakring in Ottakring, as well as St. Stephen’s Cathedral.
When they arrested the offender at St. Stephen’s, the police knew nothing about the damage to the the other churches and released him, as is usual with a first-time offender. The damage is considerable. “We have never had this massive damage,” said the spokesman for the archdiocese. But the solution is in sight! It was done by “a madman who put himself in the mood prior to the incident by listening on his iPod to religious music,” said European church coward Toni Faber, excusing both Ibrahim and Islam. This Catholic crawler and sycophant will also bow submissively toward Mecca when a Muslim blows up the whole Steffl into the air.
“Cardinal shocked at church vandalism,” from the Vienna Times, April 1:
An attack on four churches in Vienna over the weekend that left a trail of destruction has been described by the Archbishop of Vienna as “so far the worst act of vandalism in my time as Archbishop”.
Cardinal Christoph Schönborn made the comments during a visit to Lazaristenkirche, which was one of the churches that was vandalised on Saturday afternoon. The attack left Lazaristenkirche with all of its statues and side altars largely destroyed as well as statues damaged at St. Stephen’s, the Breitenfeld church in Josefstadt and the Neuottakring church in Ottakring.
“I am shocked by the devastation in the churches,” he said. “I hope that the perpetrator or perpetrators did not know what they were doing.”
The Cardinal also said that he called for people to not be discouraged and the churches will continue to be kept open for all people.
A 37-year-old Ghanaian man was caught in the act of vandalising St. Stephan’s but was released at the time because police did not realise it was one of many attacks that that had been carried out that day. Police have since been unable to find him.
