Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Weeks after welcoming the Muslim Brotherhood into the UK, Cameron orders them investigated for “links to extremism”

Apr 1, 2014 9:47 am By Robert Spencer

cameron_1521438aJust weeks after the British government declared that membership in the Muslim Brotherhood was “not proof of extremism” and welcomed Muslim Brotherhood members to live and operate in the UK, David Cameron orders British officials to investigate the Brotherhood. This is, in other words, yet more indication that the British government has no idea what to do about Islamic jihad terror and supremacism, and is running blind and scared. they’re banning counter-jihadists from the country in an effort to appease Leftists and Islamic supremacists and welcoming in the Brotherhood, and then looking at their hopelessly compromised position and trying desperately to shore it up. Unless they throw out Cameron and his gang of sycophants soon, and replace it with a sensible anti-jihad government, Britain is finished.

“David Cameron orders inquiry into activities of Muslim Brotherhood,” by Nicholas Watt for The Guardian, March 31:

David Cameron has ordered Whitehall officials to launch an investigation into the Muslim Brotherhood – drawing on assessments by MI5 and MI6.

A Downing Street source confirmed that the review would examine allegations that the Muslim Brotherhood was behind the murder of three tourists on a bus in Egypt in February and that it planned extremist activities from Britain.

The source said: “The prime minister has ordered a review to get a better understanding of the Muslim Brotherhood and its values – and look into its alleged links to extremism.”

The No 10 source confirmed a report in the Times that the investigation is being launched as the prime minister faces pressure to follow the example of Egypt and Saudi Arabia, which claim that the Muslim Brotherhood uses London as a crucial centre for its activities, to ban the group.

The Times reported that MI6, Britain’s overseas intelligence agency, would examine claims that the Muslim Brotherhood was behind the bus attack in Egypt. MI5 will assess how many leaders have been based in Britain after last year’s coup in Egypt in which Mohamed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood president, was ousted.

The regime of Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the head of the Egyptian armed forces who played a leading role in the overthrow of Morsi last year, has placed the former president on jail where he awaits trial for treason. Morsi was the candidate for the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice party for the 2012 presidential elections in Egypt.

Cameron ordered the investigation after it was concluded that Whitehall has insufficient intelligence about the Muslim Brotherhood’s activities in Britain and in Egypt. Downing Street has asked Sir John Jenkins, the British ambassador to Saudi Arabia to draw up a report on the Muslim Brotherhood’s “philosophy and values and alleged connections with extremism and violence”.

Sir Kim Darroch, the prime minister’s national security adviser, has already started work. A key role will be played by Sir John Sawers, the current chief of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), who served as UK ambassador to Egypt between 2001-03. Sawers, who had previously served as Tony Blair’s foreign affairs adviser in Downing Street, had strong contacts with the regime of the former president Hosni Mubarak.

The Muslim Brotherhood, which was founded in Egypt in 1928, was branded a terrorist group by the Egyptian authorities last year. It had been banned during most of the latter part of the 20th century up until the Arab spring which saw the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak as Egyptian president.

British officials are saying it is “possible but unlikely” that the Muslim Brotherhood will be banned in Britain on the grounds of terrorist links. Foreign Office officials figures have until now resisted proscribing the organisation on the grounds that that could encourage extremists. “The truth is that this is a large, disparate organisation that takes different forms in different countries,” an official told the paper.

The security services are said to take a more hardline view. Sir Richard Dearlove, the former head of MI6, has reportedly described the Muslim Brotherhood as “at heart a terrorist organisation”….

it is unlikely that cameron is able to think clearly. However, he probably believe that he is.

MI5 and MI6 most probably have all the necessary details regarding MB operatives and their activities within the UK. It is also probable that they are aware of the general movements/operations of MB in parts of the middle-east. So this investigation, or rather the announce of it, is likely to be a public relations operation by cameron’s government.

The UK has vital energy interest along the arabian peninsula (oil/gas deals with arabian states like saudi arabia). cameron’s love for MB is conditional upon how much saudi arabia, UAE, kuwait, oman among other feel about the MB. Recently, these arabian states (with the exception of qatar) have decided that they no longer like the MB – to the point of outlawing the MB. And so, cameron in the interest of maintaining a “working relationship” with these arabian states, saw which way the arabian wind was blowing and simply followed. It is unfortunate that obama has yet to see the writings on the wall.

cameron is a self-serving individual, playing nice with some of UK’s oil/gas suppliers in order to maintain energy deals. Should anything happened to these deals, his political fortunes would inevitably take a dive, losing government and his precious prime ministership. obama in contrast appears to be an idealist (or a fifth column operative or both), sweeping partners and allies aside to do his “thing” (global socialist kumbaya program? .. with the MB amongst other?).

The end result of this investigation (and report) will likely depend on the relationship between MB and various arabian gulf states. It is also possible that MI5 and/or MI6 have already prepared s suite of reports, each tailored to suit the various anticipated outcomes MB’s fortunes in the middle-east. One observed political rule is that often governments/authorities do not proactively initiate investigations or commissions without knowing what the result is (or have control over the result), prior to their commencement.

Cameron is an absolute ponce. Little wonder his wife looked elsewhere for masculine energy in her life but in turning to Cameron’s political rival Boris she went from the frypan into the fire. To add to what he will sell down the river to stay PM, and convince himself he is a man, is not just pleasing Middle Eastern potentates to keep the oil flowing but to keep open the UK arms trade with those potentates.

boris johnson and david cameron are of the same ilk – they know what is best for Britain and all her citizens. tony blair, gordon brown and mr. miliband (both of them) also believed that they know what is best for Britain and all her subjects, but in a fashion that is far better, superior and clearer than anyone else (even amongst themselves – within labour leadership), especially david cameron.

In so far as UK arms are concern, they are realistically the only physical substance of value that wealthy arab states want to import. They do not need energy, agricultural produce nor any other goods manufactured from the UK (except RR vehicles and engines).

Aside from this, political support from the UK government is expected (the various slimy UN commissions some of these arab states are presiding over), even if it is implicit – by not speaking out.

Also, UK is a financial hub for global investments, including those from gulf states. Better get ISO9001/9002/9003 certification for sharia finance, sharia courts, sharia diet, sharia behaviour, sharia …

With Egypt and most Arabic countries kicking them out, it’s time for UK to go and do likewise.

I regularly scan Jihad Watch in the UK and am frustrated at the lack of apparent awareness of our government of the danger posed by Islam which is definitely not a ‘Religion of Peace’. I found it rather sinister that our deputy PM, Nick Clegg, actually mis-quoted a passage from the Koran in order to put an undeserved benevolent gloss on an ideology that is opposed to our heritage of democracy and freedom of speech.

The danger is that PM Cameron and company will simply delegate their ‘investigation’ of the MB to Islamic interests who have already infiltrated British security.

Informed critics of the Muslim Brotherhood, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer are banned from U.K, but the British government has welcomed unknown numbers of the MB who are a direct threat to security of British people!

And the other thing that I would recommend to everyone is John Roy Carlson’s book “Cairo to Damascus” (1951).

By pretending to be a Naziphile Islamophile, he managed to score an interview with one of the Muslim Brotherhood ‘s head honchos in 1948 – Hassan Al Banna himself, revered grandpapa of Frere Tariq, Tariq Ramadan. Carlson described Al-Banna as one of the most loathsome men he had ever met (and Carlson had met a few pretty horrible individuals, in the course of his investigative reporting on Nazi sympathisers in the USA, which reporting became his book ‘Under Cover’).

The whole book is a terrifically good read; I commend it to anyone here who has not yet read it.

The sections that *really* matter for present purposes are Book I, chapters IV -VI – “The Moslem (Black) Brotherhood”, “Behind the Correspondent’s Curtain”, and “World of the Koran: Islam Ueber Alles”.

If you are British: get the book (or find it in a library, or online): photocopy or print off chapters IV and VI, read through, highlight the really scary bits, and…send copies to (a) Mr Cameron and (b) your own MP. With a suitable covering letter.

Because Carlson’s portrait of the Brotherhood is completely accurate and fits with all subsequent accounts; and it’s enough to make the hair stand up on the back of your neck.

If ordinary British citizens read just those two chapters and took them seriously, they’d be *screaming* at Parliament to ban the Brotherhood, like, yesterday, and to round up and evict from the UK , ASAP, every last identifiable member and associate and admirer of the Ikhwan. Not forgetting Tariq Ramadan. Out with them!

Still just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic I’m afraid. Until a Western nation like the UK grasps in its collective consciousness (including most of its elites) that the term “radical Islam” is redundant, it remains vulnerable before the one major religion which is also a totalitarian ideology, as Bertrand Russell, himself an Englishmen of course, understood almost a century ago when he wrote in his “The Practice and Theory of Bolshevism” that Islam is the one major religion which is totalitarian in structure and ideology. And Russell had no inside religious agenda since he was a completely non-religious man.

There is no doubt at all that the British security services have all the data they need to link the MB with terrorism. All that is lacking is the political will to use the information in the courts and at immigration entry level.

We Brits are a tolerant bunch and often forget the huge effect voiced public opinion can have on governments. A lesson the islamists learned decades ago and use very effectively. That said, things are changing as more and more British citizens voice their concerns regarding islamists.

Once again, I urge everyone to write to their MP’s and make their feelings known. This is the time when it will have maximum impact, especially with Conservative and Lib-Dem MP’s thinking about the next election.

Please do not be offensive or insulting as those letters can be legally ignored. Be firm and honest. Name specific individuals who are on record as anti-western preachers, anti-Semites and islamic extremists. Pam and Robert give plenty factual information to make a solid case. If you have served in the armed forces, say so. Make a point of how you served Q&C and now it’s up to the politicians to do their bit on your behalf.

The core essential ideological principal of the Muslim Brotherhood is genocidal anti-Jewish bigotry. The core, official self-stated, goal of the Muslim Brotherhood is to establish Islam as the government for the whole world. The Muslim Brotherhood was founded by an admirer of Adolf Hitler, Hassan al Bana, and was supported by the German Nazis, and was allied with the German Nazis. The Muslim Brotherhood was based on, and is based on, and adheres to, the essential precepts of authoritative Islam — primarily the mandate expressed in the authoritative texts of Islam, the Qur’an and the other authoritative texts of Islam, to establish Islam as the government for the whole world.

This is not mere ignorance, among the ruling classes of Western societies. It *cannot* be mere ignorance. These people — Western leaders of Western countries, etc. — are university-educated people with access to much information. These people are leaders of technologically and culturally highly developed countries. It is not mere ignorance. It is *willful* “ignorance”, at best. And if it is merely willful “ignorance”, *why* is that willful “ignorance” existing? *Why* is that “ignorance” so will willful and why is that ignorance so huge? The same reason that whatever of what was the collusion with, and support of, the Nazi regime of Germany in the 1930’s by Western ruling elites (political, financial, academic) was mere willful “ignorance” was so willful and so huge. People who hold bigoted antipathetic wrong views about the Jewish people don’t view verbally and physically overtly expressed genocidal anti-Jewish bigotry as being a smoking gun. And those who deny such basic facts about the Muslim Brotherhood — people such as Western academics who deny such basic facts, and Western journalists who deny such basic facts, etc. — thereby demonstrate and prove the nature of the views that they themselves hold about the Jewish people. There is the saying that denial (“the Nile”) is not just a river in Egypt. Well, anti-Jewish bigotry is not a river in Egypt. It’s the mother’s milk of Western civilization. And it’s poison. And it’s got to be cured and removed — by knowledge and wisdom.

But I think that my posting my comment may have been wrong, because I think that, in the case of David Cameron, anti-Jewish bigotry is not a main factor in his ignorance about the Muslim Brotherhood, and because I think that the way I expressed, in my comment, what I tried to express, was not well-expressed, and because I think that, therefore, my posting my comment on this particular post may have been inappropriate, and because I was feeling anger while I was writing my comment and while I was posting my comment, and because, therein, I posted my comment with wrong intention, and because I think that my comment may be harsh, and because harsh speech is wrong. I apologize if my posting my comment was wrong.

However, it is my understanding that, in many cases, anti-Jewish bigotry is the main factor of the Western collusion with the Islamic supremacist political movement, and it is my understanding that the Western collusion with the Islamic supremacist political movement is manifested as, largely, the Western propagandic and diplomatic war against Israel.

The following article describes the anti-Jewish bigotry that, it is my understanding, is, in many cases, the main factor of the Western collusion with the Islamic supremacist political movement, and which, it is my understanding, is manifested as, largely, the Western propagandic and diplomatic war against Israel.

      Anti-Semitism 2.0, by Mudar Zahran
      http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/1979/anti-semitism-20

“Why would a Palestinian be writing this? The answer is simple: …”

      Notes:

      – “Palestinian”: ‘Palestinian’ Arab
      – “Palestine”: The British Mandate of Palestine. The British Mandate of Palestine was constituted by what is now Jordan, and by what is now Israel, and by what is now called “The West Bank” (Judea and Samaria (Yehouda and Shomron)), and by what is now called “The Gaza Strip”. In 1920, at the San Remo Conference, the national rights to the British Mandate of Palestine were recognized as belonging to the Jewish people. Between 1921 and 1924, Britain created the Arab state Transjordan in the British Mandate of Palestine. In 1946, Britain granted autonomy to Transjordan, and Transjordan was renamed Jordan.

      Two documentaries:

THE NAZIS AND THE PALESTINIAN MOVEMENT

“Traces the history of PLO/Fatah, now better known as the ‘Palestinian Authority,’ the organization that will govern a future Palestinian State. The video shows how PLO/Fatah emerged from the German Nazi Final Solution. Hajj Amin al Husseini, father of the Palestinian Movement, creator of Fatah, and mentor to Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas, was co-director with Adolf Eichmann of the death camp system that exterminated between 5 and 6 million European Jews in WWII.”

WHAT IS PALESTINE? WHO ARE THE PALESTINIANS?

“The video dispels certain myths concerning the origin of the name ‘Palestine’ and of the ‘Arab Palestinians.’ It documents that the ‘Arab Palestinians’ are in fact mostly from other places, and migrated to what is now Israel at the same time as the Zionist Jews, many of them because of the economic boom that the Zionist Jews produced in what was then British Mandate Palestine. The Zionist Jews did not steal the “best” land from Arab landowners but in fact purchased abandoned desert and swamp land from absentee Arab landlords who were quite eager to sell. This was explained by Hajj Amin al Husseini himself. Husseini, father of the Palestinian movement, launched his fourth terrorist attack against the Jews of the Mandate in 1936-39. The violence was so great that the British sent a team to investigate. When questioned, Husseini admitted that the Zionist Jews had not stolen anybody’s land but in fact had bought it. In fact, Husseini had been among the major consolidators and sellers of land, and growing tremendously rich by it.”

Islamic Jew hatred existed before anyone was even speaking the German language, much less the existence of any German state.
Muslimes slaughtered thousands of Jews in Al Andalus (once again, before any German state existed) when the vizier/sultan appointed a Jewish governor to rule over muslime subjects.

Well, it’s my understanding that Islam was founded approximately one thousand and four hundred years ago, and I don’t know whether or not the German language was spoken before then.

But Christian European anti-Jewish bigotry began before Islam was founded. And it is my understanding that mass-killing of Jewish people by Christian European people began before Islam was founded.

However, of course the issue now is Islamic genocidal anti-Jewish bigotry and the current Islamic supremacist political movement. But much of that is being enabled by Western anti-Jewish bigotry. That’s what I have tried to express.

And it is my understand that much of current Islamic genocidal anti-Jewish bigotry was influenced by, largely the German Nazis, regardless of, and in addition to, the inherent genocidal anti-Jewish bigotry that, it is my understanding, is in authoritative Islam, but which, in Islam, it is my understanding, was dormant for several hundred years until the defeat of the Ottoman Turkish empire in World War I, and the abolishment of the Islamic Caliphate by Attaturk, and the subsequent founding of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the subsequent influence of the German Nazis.

“While scholars agree that in no other part of the world is antisemitism as widespread as in the Middle East, the unanimity vanishes when it comes to explaining the causes of this antisemitism”

          http://www.matthiaskuentzel.de/contents/the-continuing-nazi-influence-on-arab-attitudes

“Nazi influence upon the Middle East is nevertheless almost systematically overlooked by Middle East and Islam scholars.”

But, again, that’s not the main point that I was trying to express.

The main point that I was trying to express is expressed in the following article.

          Anti-Semitism 2.0, by Mudar Zahran
          http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/1979/anti-semitism-20

“Why would a Palestinian be writing this? The answer is simple: …”

But, again: I feel uneasy about my having posted my initial comment, because I think that my initial comment was harsh, and because I know that harsh speech is wrong. Again, I apologize if my posting my initial comment was wrong. I don’t want to cause harm. I don’t want to cause conflict. I just want to be happy. And the unwholesome quality anger is in my temperament, and the unwholesome quality anger arises in my mind, and other unwholesome qualities are in my temperament, and those other unwholesome qualities arise in my mind. I apologize if I have caused any harm. I apologize if my posting my initial comment was wrong. I apologize if my posting any of my comments has been wrong.

But I hope that the information that I have posted links to may be beneficial and helpful.

Hi, Daniel. I’m afraid it is not the case that Islamic antisemitism was dormant until revived by contact with the Nazis.

The brave young Jewish girl Sol Hachuel was beheaded by Muslim authorities in Tangier in the early 19th century for daring to remain a Jew.

During the destruction of Smryna in Turkey in 1922, the Jewish quarter was attacked and burned, just as the Armenian and Greek quarters were. Many Jewish people were slaughtered.

While it doesn’t get as much attention, what is historically known as the Armenian Genocide was really Muslims acting to render Anatolia rid of all Infidels, including Jews.

These are just two incidents, but I believe you will find that homicidal Islamic hatred of Jews as *not* dormant during these centuries.

Read Dr. Andrew Bostom’s “The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism”.

Certainly, Muslims and the Nazis have recognized a sick kinship in their genocidal hatred of Jews—one that Muslims still acknowledge today, though they otherwise hate Infidels. Clearly, they “respect” the Holocaust, and consider it a model.

But the Fascists didn’t need to revive Muslim hatred of Jews, because it had *never* gone away.

Another Cameron U-turn. Now fancy that. Shows how incompetent he is. His Government must have U-turned around 60 times since the last General Election in 2010. That is a track record of incompetence unlike any other. U-turns are admissions of cockups pure and simple. Everything he touches turns to dust, so this latest shambles should come as no surprise. To be unfamiliar with something which has existed for almost 90 years, like the Muslim Brotherhood, is a crime at the highest level.

I find worrisome (but wearisomely unsurprising) a tendency to focus with horse-blinders on sub-wings of Islam (the fashionable one now in the Counter-Jihad is the Muslim Brotherhood; the gold standard of yore was the Taliban, quickly followed by al Qaeda, then “Wahhabis”, later polished with a superficial sheen of sophistication and supposed Islamoliteracy to yield “Salafis”; while more snotnosed analysts will preen themselves with “Deobandism” and “Sawhist extremists” and “Qutbist Islamism” whilst an alphabet soup of the monikers and acronyms of various jihadist cellules come tripping glibly off their lips) — to the exclusion of the Camel in the Room: Islam and all Muslims.

Certainly it’s astute and useful to notice and process the myriad distinctions with which the jungle of Islam shimmers; but not when this assumes, and reinforces, a tendency to think that the danger emanating out of Islam is limited to “extremist” subsets. In order to anticipate, and become proactive about this metastasizing danger, we must begin to cultivate prejudice, which includes treating Muslims collectively and presuming them guilty until proven innocent (with the bar for such proof being set so high, it would be virtually impossible for a Mohammedan to leap that high).

I know this goes against the grain of our Western sensibilities, and I know that most Westerners are chin-deep in the fragrant stew of their own ethical narcissism (by which it is more important for them to feel ethically good about themselves than it is to protect their society from hateful murderous fanatics); but not only are we going to have to do this in order to survive — we will. The only question is When, not If.

And the longer we wait for this When, the costlier, messier, and bloodier will be our success.

Weeks after welcoming the Muslim Brotherhood into the UK, Cameron orders them investigated for “links to extremism”
    …………………………..

Vague stirrings of sanity, or just another indication of Britain’s schizophrenia when it comes to Islam? Probably the latter…

And yes—the Muslim Brotherhood is just one of the many tentacles of Islam threatening Britain and the West.
