As evidence of his “radicalization,” the clueless Telegraph offers him quoting from the Qur’an, although the paper is evidently unaware that the quote comes from the Qur’an. Even if the authors and editors of this piece did know that, they likely wouldn’t mention it, as that would harm “community cohesion.”
“British-born Boko Haram ‘ringleader’ was ‘radicalised at UK university,'” by Josie Ensor and Colin Freeman, the Telegraph, May 16, 2014 (thanks to BD):
A British-born “ringleader” of the Islamist group responsible for the kidnapping of hundreds of school girls in Nigeria was radicalised while studying at a UK university, according to friends.
Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche, 29, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with two recent bombings carried out by Boko Haram in the Nigerian capital Abuja that killed nearly 100 people.
He is suspected of co-masterminding the attacks – one in the suburb of Nyanya that killed 75 people on April 14 and a second attack just yards away which killed 19 people earlier this month.
Interpol put out an international arrest warrant for Mr Ogwuche, who was discovered after a reward of £100,000 led to his discovery in Sudan.
He had reportedly been learning Arabic at the the International University of Africa in Sudan and was held as he tried to obtain a Turkish visa in the capital, Khartoum.
Mr Ogwuche, the son of a retired Nigerian colonel, was said by fellow students at University of Glamorgan in Wales to call himself “The Lion of God” and threatened to cut the hands and feet of non-believers while living in Britain.
“Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.” (Qur’an 5:33)
The Nigerian, who studied business science from 2007 until he dropped out in 2010, was a member of the university’s debating society and wrote on an online profile: “I used to be in the military back at home and my goal now is to be a successful businessman.”
While living in South Wales his posts on his social media page became more extreme.
In early 2010 he said on Facebook: “Those who strive in the path of Allah love death like the kuffar (non-believer) love life, hahaha. Let them know, we are always ready to meet our lord anytime he wills.”
In a Facebook post in 2011 he said: “The only punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is that they should be murdered, or crucified, or their hands and their feet should be cut off, or they should be imprisoned.”
As noted above, this is a Qur’an quote.
Another of the posts said: “We warn you to give up your disobeyance to Allah and surrender to him or wait we bring your humiliation then you will be regretful and on the knees.”
His profile picture showed of a lion and the caption “Asadullah”, translating as “Lion of God”.
Mustafa Ja told Wales Online he met Mr Ogwuche several times in the prayer room on campus.
“He didn’t seem to have any extremist views then – police officers would come and visit the prayer room regularly, so I don’t see how he could,” he said.
How does that follow?
A former housemate Anju Moro told Wales Online: “He was very devout but then many people are. He would often just spend time in his room between going to and from prayers but he seemed harmless, if very serious. It is very creepy that he could have been having thoughts like that.”
A spokesperson for the University of South Wales said: “Aminu Ogwuche was a student at the former University of Glamorgan between 2007 and 2010 but didn’t go on to complete his studies at the university.
“There were no reported indications of extremist behaviour during his time as a student.”
Nigeria’s state security officers are expected to question him over the bomb attacks, as well as Boko Haram’s abduction of more than 200 girls from a school in Chibok, north-east Nigeria a month ago.
More than 100 of the girls are still being held, with the group holding out for a hostage swap agreement, which the Nigeria government has rejected.
It is understood that Mr Ogwuche originally served in an intelligence unit of the Nigerian army before deserting in 2006. He visited Britain as recently as 2011, and was previously questioned on suspicion of terrorism links upon his return to Abuja in November that year, reportedly after a tip off from British intelligence. However, he was then released on bail to his father, a retired army colonel, after protests by human rights groups. British officials said he is not a British national.
News of his arrest is the first indication of a direct link between Boko Haram and Britain, which has a large Nigerian diaspora community.

I suspect that the British police will politely offer him a Qur’an and a prayer mat during which time he will maintain that typical (“I am a Muslim and you are not”, smug expression).
The Nigerian police would deal with him much more efficiently assuming the Islam-Butt- Kiss politicians in the West would stop running interference.
The MSM paradoxically criticizes the Nigerian police while praising the Obama / Hillary / Kerry axis of denial.

The Left in Europe and North America are allied with Muslims, so they deny that Islam is a religion of war. It is folly for Western nations to allow Muslim immigration as Muslims will always be loyal to Islam first. Muhammad was the first Islamic terrorist.

” However, he was then released on bail to his father, a retired army colonel, after protests by human rights groups.”
How bloody typical. I would love to drop those moronic leftards right in the middle of the jungle, facing Boko Haram.

Failing the Mickey Mouse degree in BS, should have been a giveaway. Yet he still retained enough self respect to stop him humiliating himself with theology or religious studies.

Having worked among Muslims for 44 years in Mali and Burkina Faso, W. Africa as a protestant missionary, I know that it is not at all unusual for this man to carry out his attacks. He is simply acting on the authority of the Koran which he figures is a book from God. But he is wrong, and God will deal with him in due time.

He wasn’t some hardscrabble illiterate brought up in a village.
His *Muslim* father was a *colonel*.
As it says here: “Mr Ogwuche, the son of a retired Nigerian colonel..”.
And he himself was in the Nigerian military at one point:
“It is understood that Mr Ogwuche originally served in an intelligence unit of the Nigerian army before deserting in 2006.”
Daddy-oh has not disowned him:
“He visited Britain as recently as 2011, and was previously questioned on suspicion of terrorism links upon his return to Abuja in November that year, reportedly after a tip off from British intelligence. However, **he was then released on bail to his father, a retired army colonel,** [my emphasis – dda].”
Ockham’s Razor sez that daddy-oh knows all about what his dear pious muslim boy has been up to.
But I would *bet* my bottom dollar that the Nigerian military, police force, judiciary and civil service – both federal and regional – are *massively* infiltrated, subverted, and to some extent *controlled* by Muslims, and that a significant percentage of those Muslims are with Boko Haram or are in some way assisting, enabling or running interference for them.
Question for Nigerian non-Muslims here present, posting or lurking: just what *percentage* of high-ranking officials in the government, military, law enforcement and judiciary are identifiable Muslims?
The awful truth that follows from that, is this: you , if non-Muslim, cannot trust *any* of them.

I am not surprise, there are so many super religious people out there, some of the people I saw in the British streets look more scary then Boko Haram and Alshabab mix it together. The radicals are attracted living there, one time I heard a guy talking in the phone with his friend, he was telling his friend “you should immigrate here, I have one council flat in Belgium one council flat in London, you should move to this country, British people are too nice, they never complain, never explain, just get on with your life”. Democracy!.
