It has already been a busy Memorial Day weekend. Stories reported at Jihad Watch over the last two days:
Tunisia: Muslim screaming “The nation of Muhammad returns for vengeance” stabs Jew, is released That was Saturday.
Sharia Egypt: Christian gets four years prison, $1400 fine for insulting Islam by drawing cartoon of Muhammad on Facebook Saturday as well.
Also Saturday:
Somalia: Islamic jihadists murder at least 10 in jihad attack on parliament
Yemen: Islamic jihadists murder at least 27 people in raid on city
Pakistan: Islamic jihadists murder seven in three separate blasts
Thailand: Islamic jihadists murder three, injure 55 with series of blasts
Nigeria: Islamic jihadist murders two in bungled jihad/martyrdom suicide bombing
Iraq: Islamic jihadists murder seven people with car bomb at alcohol shop
Uganda: Churches step up security after threats from Islamic jihad group
Then Sunday:
Australia: Jihad fundraiser and brother of convicted terrorist preaching in mosques
Iran’s Supreme Leader: Jihad will continue until America is no more
Syria: Sharia enforcers disrupt wedding party, detain women for un-Islamic dress
Authorities suspect Islamic jihadists behind murder of four at Brussels Jewish Museum
Djibouti: Islamic jihadists murder three with bomb in restaurant filled with Western soldiers
And today:
Nigeria: Islamic jihadists of Boko Haram murder 24 people in attack on crowded market
In the face of all this, the Pope calls a man who has just partnered with a jihad terror group vowed to the destruction of the Jewish State a “man of peace” and claims that the inspiration for all this violence and hatred is that “opposed to every form of violence.” The President of the United States has said, “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam,” even to the point of removing all mention of Islam and jihad from counter-terror training material, acceding to the demand of Muslim groups with links to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood — and thereby forbidding law enforcement agents from studying and understanding the motives and goals of those who have vowed to destroy us.
And so on Memorial Day, we remember when we had leaders to defend us. We still have strong individuals who have vowed the defense of our nation, and for that we can be grateful, but they are being led by a political class so willfully ignorant of prevailing realities, and so deeply compromised, that they make misstep after misstep, endangering us all — while a likewise compromised media does everything it can to cover for them and defame those who sound the alarm about this problem.
And so we remember that in our nation’s darkest days, there arose strong, rough men — the ones to whom Churchill referred when he noted that “we sleep safely at night because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would harm us.” For that we pause today to offer our gratitude, and our hope that there still remains enough of them to see us through this present darkness. Our resolve to remain free is iron; now all we need are some leaders with similar resolve.

Many have made the sacrifice.
No doubt that the next potential Democratic party candidate for president of the US Hillary Clinton is asking,
“WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?”

The results of the EU elections show that there has been an increase in awareness of the jihad threat. Unless the mainstream parties take the bull by the horns, though, extremist right-wing parties will continue to rise.

You make an extremely succinct point. Large numbers of the rank and file electorate in Europe just don´t get the fact that the global war against Islam has nothing to do with race, skin colour or where you were born.
Its not the actions and behaviour of the Muslims infesting Europe (and elsewhere) its all the fault of “multiculturalism” and ” immigrants”.
The mind set of many of these people appears to be that anyone thats black, brown or yellow is Muslim and vote for parties that foster this belief.

I just retired from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. I will never forgive the MSM. and this administration for what they have done to my fellow veterans. Not one story about the heroism of our warriors fighting barbarians, just accusation of war crimes, while ignoring the daily atrocities of Islamic Jihadists. Veterans returning from the battle watching the news wondering what war they are reporting because it does not resemble anything they just returned from. Rules of engagement from this administration that have resulted in the deaths of American servicemen. kowtowing is Islamic interests, funding and arming he very Jihadist groups killing the servicemen we honor today. All this with a President who apparently is so out of touch with his responsibilities that he has to read about what it in a newspaper.

Thank you for working for the vets. We love, admire and thank all we meet . My prayer this special Memorial Day is that breaking this scandal wide open will force major changes and that private healthcare will immediately step in and treat all deserving vets NOW. Obama and his minions are a joke and worthless. Our vets deserve the very best of everything this country has to offer always.
Alarmed Pig Farmer says
On this day I think kind and thankful thoughts to all American war vets, especially those who died on the line. For they were fighting for freedom, and America is truly exceptional because freedom is not a natural condition to man. I honor them from the Civil War through WWI, WWII, the Korean, and Viet Nam. Each was a good war that had to be fought to preserve freedom.
This includes Nam, wrapped in it’s campus fake history of having been fought because of American imperialism. What a joke. We spent 50,000 lives for Viet Nam’s tin and rice. There is no American imperialism, but there is Chinese imperialism and that’s not campus fake; it’s as real as the frigates in the South China Sea today, or the joint Sino-Russia military exercises in the East China Sea yesterday.

But these Moslem wars, whew. Killers who hide themselves amidst non-combatant populations who support them, the perverse military role for hearts and minds, the rules of engagement to let Americans be maimed and killed in the hope that we won’t offend the non-combatant civilians who support the mujahidin.
We haven’t figured out how to fight the Moslems, and we may never figure that out.
Rest In Peace, you who gave your lives for freedom.

When I am out of my home, on neighborhood streets and in stores, watching persons under the age of 30 or so, listening to their voices in conversation, one thought occurs to me over and over again :
HOW TOTALLY UNINTERESTED 98% OF THEM ALMOST CERTAINLY ARE ABOUT WORLD EVENTS. That “couldn’t care less” attitude includes what FFMs — Fully Faithful Muslims — do to control and slaughter their fellow humans.
And this is not really surprising. Devices and media that almost every American can distract themselves with are so much more FUN than absorbing horror-laden facts — even about so sick a group as Boko Haram.
“Afghanistan & Iraq ? WTF — those countries are totally OVERSEAS, DUDE. And anyway, every soldier who has fell there volunteered, so what’s the big deal ?”
Well there’s Vietnam, you might counter : a 58,000-body reminder of the Wilson Doctrine’s deadly consequences if presidential ignorance and intellectual laziness prevail — refusing to study history / culture / alliances — but here is a stunning reminder : Only seniors approx 60 or more clearly remember network evening news giving a daily toll of fatalities.
IS IT ANY WONDER THE UNITED STATES HAS BECOME A GIANT PASTURE FULL OF SHEEPLE ?
However, thanks to the virtually 24/7 postings of Robert Spencer, Pam Geller (Atlasshrugs), David Wood (Answeringmuslims), Bill Warner (Politicalislam), and the webmasters at Citizenwarrior, Inquiryintoislam, Thereligionofpeace, Barenakedislam, and others I don’t even know, we at least have a chance to survive through education of the clueless in our country.

There is a reason for what you commented about. People either are living in denial or are fearful of the truth.
Wellington says
America fought the Vietnam War the wrong way (it either should have fought it completely or not at all) but at least then we were still able to identify the enemy. Now we are not only fighting the present war with great error but we can’t even name the enemy. The enemy is Islam, all of it, and the American serviceman is arguably being done an ever greater injustice than he was during the Vietnam conflict. It’s a long way from the clarity of WWII to our present war—-a long way downwards.
Nonetheless, I honor all those men and women who gave their lives so that this nation (and so many other nations) could be free. Would that our present military had the kind of leadership in war that was provided by previous Presidents like Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It doesn’t and this is one of the great tragedies of our time.

Can a nation dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal long endure? It is up to us to be dedicated to that for which so many have given the last full measure of devotion. I think the words which Lincoln spoke at Gettysburg are eternal…..government of the people, by the people, for the people must not perish from the face of the earth. And just what kind of people do we want to be…..free men and women or slaves to a cruel and spiteful god? This is a day to remember and to reflect: Are we the living up to the great task which remains before us?
Below is a link to some background and the words of Lincoln’s speech for those who are not familiar with U.S. history:

The elections in Europe are encouraging, but indeed, we need wiser leadership and we need it fast. As we can see from the rise of some far-right elements in Europe that hate Jews, gay people, etc., there’s a real danger that when the native population is pushed to the wall and their leaders refuse to protect them, people will turn to much more extreme options. If the only people offering to put a halt to the rape, pillage and destruction of the native populace are Nazis, it’s a sad fact that the Nazis will start to look good to a lot of people. We need wise leadership to avoid all these nightmare scenarios. On Memorial Day, it’s sobering to think of how much has been sacrificed so that we can live as free people in our own country — and how much is now taken for granted by people who have no idea how many people want to destroy us.

Wise words, Bradamante, and unfortunately, all too true. Humanity seems determined never to learn from history.

It is just too sad to see a wife without a husband and a boy without a father. It is just so unnecessary. In a world without islam, so many tragedies would have been avoided. How many more life have to been wasted by islam??
