“We can’t go and kill our girls in the name of trying to get them back.” That is indeed so; it is likely that the Party of the People of the Sunnah for Dawah and Jihad, a.k.a. Boko Haram, would murder the girls if there were a rescue attempt. This is in accord with Islamic law: killing kidnapped infidels, if that option is deemed most advantageous for the Muslims, is fully sanctioned under Sharia: “As for the captives, the amir [ruler] has the choice of taking the most beneficial action of four possibilities: the first to put them to death by cutting their necks; the second, to enslave them and apply the laws of slavery regarding their sale and manumission; the third, to ransom them in exchange for goods or prisoners; and fourth, to show favor to them and pardon them. Allah, may he be exalted, says, ‘When you encounter those [infidels] who deny [the Truth=Islam] then strike [their] necks’ (Qur’an sura 47, verse 4)” — Abu’l-Hasan al-Mawardi, al-Ahkam as-Sultaniyyah (The Laws of Islamic Governance), trans. by Dr. Asadullah Yate, (London), Ta-Ha Publishers Ltd., 1996, p. 192.
“Nigeria’s Military Knows Location Of Girls Kidnapped By Boko Haram: Defense Official,” by Michelle Faul, Associated Press, May 26, 2014:
ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) — Nigeria’s military has located nearly 300 school girls abducted by Islamic extremists but fears using force to try to free them could get them killed, the country’s chief of defense said Monday.
Air Marshal Alex Badeh told demonstrators supporting the much criticized military that Nigerian troops can save the girls. But he added, “we can’t go and kill our girls in the name of trying to get them back.”
He spoke to thousands of demonstrators who marched to Defense Ministry headquarters in Abuja, the capital. Many were brought in on buses, indicating it was an organized event.
Asked by reporters where they had found the girls, Badeh refused to elaborate.
“We want our girls back. I can tell you we can do it. Our military can do it. But where they are held, can we go with force?” he asked the crowd.
People roared back, “No!”
“If we go with force what will happen?” Badeh asked.
“They will die,” the demonstrators responded.
That appeared to leave negotiation the sole option, but a human rights activist close to negotiators said a deal to swap the girls for detained Boko Haram members was agreed last week and then scuttled at the last minute by President Goodluck Jonathan.
The activist who is close to those mediating between Boko Haram extremists and government officials said the girls would have been freed last week Monday.
Jonathan had already told British officials that he would not consider an exchange. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue….
Boko Haram — the nickname means “Western education is sinful” — believes Western influences have corrupted Nigerian society and want to install an Islamic state under strict Shariah law, though the population 170 million people is divided almost equally between Christians and Muslims.

according to many reports, Nigerian military is one the most inept militaries in the world and that why the can not rescue the girls. Going and killing our girls is just an excuse for their short comings….m

Good point, Mariam.
Still, what is the motive for not exchanging a few cockroaches for these innocent girls? I don’t understand the politics of that refusal to release a few sub-humans as ransom for those precious lives. Why, why, why?!
Charli Main says
Bettina,
as harsh as it may sound, exchanging these poor abused girls for the Muslim vermin in Government hands will only lead to increased numbers of kidnappings. Every time these vermin want something they will take hostages.
That is why Western Governments never agree to hostage exchange deals, at least not publically.
There is really only one answer—-to exterminate these vermin. Dead vermin can´t take hostages.

True. But here’s the solution: Do whatever it takes to free these poor girls, then, wipe these vermins, ALL of them, from the surface of the earth.
Ooops, I forgot, we can’t do that. Political correctness, human rights groups and all the idiots of the world won’t let us do it.
PJG says
That’s what I think, Salah: get them back any way possible then turn the heat right up on BH.

Yep.
And if Boko Haram mohammedan mobsters were released…surely it would be possible to *tag* them in some way.
Without their knowing it.
Tag em, track em (like scientists track critters released into the wild) back to their jihad gang dens..DRONE ‘EM.
dumbledoresarmy says
Pursuant to my previous post.
When I said, “if Boko Haram mohammedan mobsters were released”, I should have specified, “in any prisoner exchange “deal””.

Dear Mariam, I do not know where you get such an assessment from about the Nigerian Army. It is totally false and I beg you in the name of God not to be deceived. This Army you are running down had in the past 30 years been responsible for a lot of the achievements across Africa and that is why the American Government had relied heavily on it in conflict areas across the continent. Is it in Sierra Leone, or in Liberia? Is in Somalia, in Mali or in the Congo, just name it, the Nigerian Army has sacrificed for so much for other African nations for the peace many now enjoy . It is hurtful when falsehood is peddled as truth in order to justify an opinion. To understand what is happening in Nigeria currently you must situate yourself within the context of the underlying political set up of the country. Since at least 2009, the Central government had tried to use the army to quell the insurgency only to have an outcry of the northern Muslim leaders who screamed blue murder. I can share newspaper articles documenting these if it were necessary from as far back as 2009 where Muslims where claiming that the army was sent to cleanse the north of Muslims. I usually copy and keep such. At one point last year when the Army was really taking care of the mess, the Muslim leaders threatened to take the Chief of Army Staff to the Hague for genocide against Muslims. Due to the outcries by Muslims, the Government changed the chief of intelligence a Rtd. Brigadier Aziza and brought in a Northern Muslim. When the hue cry became too much again the government changed the Army Chief of Staff and brought in a man from the Delta region. Finally in order to further appease the Muslim north, the Minister of Defense was removed and a northern Muslim was brought in the person of Rtd. General Gusau. Many of us are angry with the President because he appears to defer too much to the Muslim North on these matters. Recently a lot has been revealed of members of the army mainly Muslims who had been collaborating with the insurgents. The last bombing that killed almost 120 people was by a Muslim man who left the army some years back. He has been arrested in the Sudan. If you are a member of such and Army betrayed by your own members who you could not trust due to religious differences, or if you were a soldier who was not sure that any action you took might not in the near future get you dragged to the Hague I wonder how your morale would be? Of course we do encourage the soldiers to remember that it is their fatherland and they have to give it everything. What I find so sad in the world of today is that people believe so much of whatever the main stream media says without doing any of their own research before jumping into conclusions. By the way I do not work for the Government and I do not live in Nigeria either. But I am a keen observer of what is going on there.

Hello Anthony —
What you seem to be saying is that Nigeria’s army WAS competent, but that for a very long time that has been weakened by appeasement to Muslims.
So, Mariam was CORRECT.

I agree 110% Miriam, but once these girls are returned and the muslim bed sheets they were forced to wear are burned, then the military should go in with, or without help from foreign military supporters, and do what is right to stop this from happening again. No prisoners, period.
Make sure it is done and with sufficient intensity as to convince others that might be considering such an act of savagery, that the same fate will be waiting for them.

The members of SEAL Team 6 would’ve been killed, and any who survived would’ve been traded for ransoms or sold as homosexual sex-slaves. Even the best trained and bravest special ops unit would face insurmountable obstacles in the form of a mass murder troupe hidden among a population that supports them.
Even given the exaltation of the U. of Texas commencement speech.

What is the one thing Muslims desire above all else? Do they not want to spend eternity in Paradise with Allah? So tell them that if the girls are released any member of Boko Haram who surrenders and admits to rape, kidnapping or murder of any of the missing girls will immediately thereafter be given an express ticket to Paradise through a quick and painless execution. They would become martyrs in the eyes of Allah and receive their reward in Paradise. Everybody wins that way. For them to refuse such an offer would be evidence of their disbelief in the promises of Allah….and Allah will remember their lack of faith and condemn them to the eternal fires of Hell for it. Also, by refusing this offer of martyrdom they would be committing lesser shirk which is an underestimation of Allah and hidden polytheism. A person commits hidden polytheism when he says tawhid (there is no god except Allah) but his thoughts and actions do not reflect his belief.
Sound crazy, doesn’t it? Well, that’s where Islam leads you.

Uh, amend that to say *male* Moslems. Moslimas don’t get into Jannat. Well, except for the 11-yr old peach fuzz houris. This is one reason for the great outpouring of protest against Islam by the feminists.

Update on Islamic jihad massacres in Nigeria today-

Militants arrive on pickup trucks and fire grenades at two bases in a town where 59 students were killed in an attack in February.”

“Mohammed and the Koran advocate rape of the kafirs. After their battles the jihadists partook in the pleasure of raping the wives and daughters of the conquered men. Duality separates the kafirs from a real humanity and submission means that the cruelest treatment is given to them so they will submit. It is only just.
Dualistic ethics make rape a virtue. Islam has one ethical code for Muslims and another one for kafirs—dualism. The kafir woman is not fully a human. Allah hates kafirs and sanctioned rape. So when a Muslim rapes a kafir, he is partaking in sacred behavior, sanctioned by his ethics. Rape of the kafir is Sunna (following the ideal behavior of Mohammed).”
Rape is a supreme tactic of war and Mohammed used it in every way possible. Rape humiliates the kafir men and crushes the spirit of the women. It is the perfect weapon of fear and subjugation. How much more humiliated and subjugated can a woman be? The history of jihad shows that rape was a constant.” – Bill Warner

I think it would have been far better for Nigeria to have been broken up back in 1968 with the Biafra civil war. It is another one of those countries invented by British cononialism, as is the case with Iraq also. The Muslims, who are lazy in any case, could have had a backward country in the North and the industrious Christians in Biafra would have a much better situation now.
It goes to show that appeasement is not good anywhere and least of all with fantical Yihadists. It wasn’t good fo Briatin under Chamerlain in 1938 nor is it good now in Nigeria.
Kepha says
I heard about this on the radio. Actually, I suspect that someone in the Nigerian military misspoke, and that there is actually no real knowledge of where the abductees are.
Further, when they raise the issue of whether an attack on the place where the girls are head (assuming they know) might kill the very persons who are to be rescued, this is an issue that needs to be faced.
David says
If they know where they are being kept is their no gas that could be dropped from helicopters to render everyone in the camp unconscious?
