Whatever else may be true about Barack Obama, one thing is certain: he always acts in ways that aid and abet the advance of Sharia and Islamic supremacism. He killed bin Laden and Awlaki, and keeps up the drone strikes, you say? Whatever involvement he may have had in those things, he has always acted in support of Islamic supremacists who wanted to impose Sharia by peaceful means. And here his administration is distancing itself from General Haftar for fighting against Islamic jihadists.
“US distances itself from renegade Libyan general,” AFP, May 21, 2014:
WASHINGTON: The United States on Tuesday distanced itself from a renegade general who has vowed to rid Libya of jihadists and said it was watching events in the country closely.
Khalifa Haftar led a deadly assault on Islamist militia in Libya’s second city Benghazi last week and has been accused by some of attempting a coup, in the latest unrest in the North African country since the 2011 uprising that ousted and killed long-time dictator Moamer Gadhafi.
“We have not had contact with him (Haftar) recently. We do not condone or support the actions on the ground, and nor have we assisted with these actions,” State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters in Washington.
“So we are continuing to call on all parties to refrain from violence and to seek resolution through peaceful means,” added Psaki, declining to say whether Washington viewed Haftar’s actions as a coup attempt.
Libya’s electoral commission announced on Tuesday that polls will take place on June 25 to elect a new parliament to replace the contested General National Congress, Lana state news agency said.
Gunmen from the ex-rebel Zintan brigade, who say they back Haftar, attacked the parliament building in the capital Tripoli on Sunday, while Haftar has been branded an “outlaw” by Libyan authorities.
“We have of course been watching closely what’s been happening over the last couple of days… We have some concern about the gathering support on the ground. Again, it’s a fluid situation and we’re watching closely,” said Psaki.
Haftar has won widening support for his campaign, not only from militia groups, but also from special forces of the regular army in Benghazi.
But jihadist group Ansar al-Sharia, blacklisted as a terrorist organization by Washington, charged that Haftar, who spent more than two decades in exile in the United States, was leading “a war against… Islam orchestrated by the United States and its Arab allies.”
Separately, the US military has moved more aircraft and troops to southern Italy for a possible evacuation of the American embassy in Tripoli, a Pentagon spokesman said.
The unrest in Libya is “certainly unsettling,” Rear Admiral John Kirby said.
“That’s why we made the decision to move those Marines to Sicily. And they’re ready to go if they’re needed.”

Why oh why does Obama ALWAYS DO THE WRONG THING?
Answer; because he is an antichrist supporter
John C. Barile says
He definitively rejects Trinitarian Christianity, I’m quite certain of that.

I concluded this much about Obama a while ago: He really isn’t a big fan of fast jihad. Those fast jihadis are just too importunate most times and tend to give Islam a black eye. But he’s OK, really OK, with slow jihad——you know, the smarter and stealth kind of jihad which, among other things, includes massive Muslim immigration to Western nations and Sharia-creep.
Damn sad that the American Presidency has come to a point where its present occupant is facilitating an ideology {Islam} which is about as inimical to the basic concepts and rights found in the American Constitution as any ideology has ever been. Yeah, damn sad.
mariam rove says
inimical … I must tell you, I thought I was good in English! Had to look this one up!!!! Yes. Islam very adverse and against freedom and our constitution. M

What is very scary is if Obama decides to get a third term. Will we see refugees leaving the USA for friendlier countries? This is what Christians in Australia have been seeing in dreams and visions, with the instructions from the Almighty to welcome them. We are doing our best in this manner. Some are buying bigger houses to welcome them. Others are buying houses for refugees to come into.
We have only one request. That you do not bring Islam with you, we have enough of these outlaws in Australia already.
Islamisdeath says
Even if imam obama does not try to completely obliterate our constitution and impose a third term, something that is against our constitution, you can almost be sure that one of his ilk will be elected by our brain dead younger generation and of course many dead people and pets. Younger women will vote for anyone with a vagina so Comrad sister Hillary may be it.
Christians are going to need a safe haven in the not so distant future but hopefully not too soon.
Wellington says
Yes, Islamisdeath, Obama seeking a third term is simply not going to happen——the 22nd Amendment is an insuperable barrier here. By far the greater problem is what you also mentioned, to wit, a dumbed-down populace.
Democracy works optimally only to the extent that it has an informed citizenry. It’s a pure and direct proportional relationship.
Right now in the American polity the dumbing down has been accelerated because of three things overall: 1) modern liberals have almost completely taken over the American educational system (these are the same doofuses who voted for Obama not only once but twice); 2) the breakdown of the American family in huge segments of the American population, most awful among black Americans where some 70% of babies are born out of wedlock; 3) the virtual extinction of Christianity in large pockets of the American populace.
When the educational system of a nation has been appropriated by fools, and its family structure has been significantly eviscerated, and its enlightened religious foundation has been very much harmed, then a faux ideology like Islam can pose as a solution to that nation’s ills and, in full parasitical mode, offer itself as savior.
Well, posing is all Islam can do, just as current American elites (like Obama) are not part of the solution but rather part of the problem. I submit to anyone that one knows all this or should know it. Time is way overdue to grasping this essential stuff. Yeah, way overdue.

Greetings:
A couple of months ago, I channel-surfed into a PBS broadcast of a documentary entitled “Held Hostage” about the Islamaniac attack on an oil refinery in southern Algeria. The Algerian government quickly called out its anti-terrorism troops to remedy the situation. In identifying those troops, the film mentioned that their commanding general’s nickname was “The Eradicator”.
Good nickname for a general that.

The Egyptian under al-Sisi might give this “renegade” vital support; and, while they’re at it, might turn to Vladimir Putin and the Russians for support–anything to undercut pro-Ikhwan Obama.
John C. Barile says
“The Egyptians,” that is.
Salah says
Looks like we have a new Sisi in Libya. But there’s a big difference though: Sisi was backed by the whole Egyptian people. If this is the case with general Haftar, then it will be another humiliating defeat for the Muslim Brotherhood thugs and their islamic terrorist groups in Libya. If not, he will fail.
It all depends on the PEOPLE.

Well, I’m not sure I know enough about Libya except that the O’s policy there has hitherto been a mess. I don’t know beans about Haftar, although its said that he lived in northern Virginia for a while when he was on the outs with Qaddafi.
While I would readily agree with anyone who says that the O’s maladministration has been a walking disaster, methinks that it perhaps has the smarts to realize it has misread and misinterpreted Libya from the beginning. Perhaps it would be wisest for the US to just let Libya sort itself out.
dumbledoresarmy says
The Ummah whether as a whole or in various parts of itself (if anything as essentially amorphous can be said to have parts) seems to oscillate or “flip” almost randomly between two modes of being – either absolute anarchy, war of all against all, such as has gone on in Libya since Gaddafi fell, and as is going on in Somalia and is very near to happening in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, or else a sort of “frozen” state, once a sufficiently ruthless despot arises and imposes a form of order by brute force. Depending on how strong he is and how thoroughly he can compel obedience, this can be local, regional, “national” or at certain points in the past, imperial. But that apparent order will last only as long as he or his successors (however the succession is decided) can keep the pressure on.
Davegreybeard says
Hi Dumbles,
I think you have distilled the Islamic social order down to its essential and necessary final outcomes. That is, either “small dog” warlord anarchy, or “big dog” warlord tyranny. No other outcomes are possible for a polity that is suffused with Islam.
This is an essential truth about the enemy we face, and should be kept foremost in mind when dealing with Islamic countries in chaos. It is of benefit to deal with one “big dog,” as long as he is not overtly Islamic, as opposed to the rabble of “small dog” Jihadis.
So here we are once again, confronted with Obama, who in all circumstances invariably chooses the wrong side.
mortimer says
Obama’s unflagging support for Sharia is very disturbing and raises questions about his objectivity as well as his support for freedom.
Davegreybeard says
Obama dosen’t belive in freedom, mortimer.
Obama belives in power – his own power.
Please try to pay attention.
Jay Boo says
A very simplistic didactic summation Davegreybeard.
I am a bit afraid to express an opinion that on the article itself for fear that it might somehow differ from yours.
BTW you misspelled ‘believes’

twice
Davegreybeard says
Thanks for the spelling tip Jay Boo, I am sure it is not my only failing.
You and English professor perhaps, who finds the errors in his interlocutor’s communication far more fascinating than the content of the argument? I do agree that for the intellectually lazy, this tactic is a handy way of dismissing the simplistic arguments of the “unenlightened”.
But in the spirit of “trickle down education,” please tell me where you see any evidence that Obama supports freedom – anywhere.
Do you find this support in Obama’s using the IRS to target his political enemies?
Do you find it in blaming the Benghazi attacks on a video, which provides cover for an attack on the freedom of speech?
Do you find it in the massive increase in government regulation on the banking industry (Dodd- Frank) or the energy industry (EPA) or the health care industry?
Do you find it in the huge increase in IRS manpower, to enforce the new government regulations?
Do you find it in the new “Consumer Protection Agency” which meets in secret, without Congressional oversight and has been characterized as an extremely dangerous new tool to project government power?
But alas, I do not sit on the lofty intellectual perch where you dwell. So please, continue with your didactic and reveal to this simpleton precisely where you find Obama’s support for freedom – the great unwashed and unlettered are dying to know.
Jay Boo says
Actually I could care less about the typos Davegreybeard
Your reply to Mortimer’s comment makes no sense that I can determine.
It is not as if mortimer had replied and disagreed to what you stated.

Islam is not some new threat. It has been on a slaughter rampage for over 1000 years. What is new and unprecedented is the collapse of leadership in the west and its replacement with fantasyland scenarios that have no precedent in human history and that contradict everything science has to tell us about human behavior. The West is creating horrific future problems for itself by importing Islam on a large scale. The leaders of the past, including our own founding fathers in America, understood this well and held Islam at bay. Something has gone horribly wrong. Hillary Clinton is a probable replacement for Obama and she devoted herself as Secretary of State to importing entire Muslim Somali communities by the tens of thousands to the mainland USA and dumping them into small, rural communities where they live on welfare.
This is beyond mere incompetence. It borders on political madness.
Bukkdem Jizheads says
For this reason I do not oppose amnesty for Central Americans. In fact, we should charge Western Europe to transport them over there, so they can throw out their Muslims. We should be grateful for their work ethic, their willingness to assimilate and Christian faith, in view that our unemployed are not willing to work. It’s our schools which ruin the children of these immigrants.

It’s pretty safe to say that if you disagree with anything Obama says or does, it is a good thing. That’s been my guiding star for some time now.
Hummer says
Thinking Americans question why Obama has been and is doing these things. I believe these have always been his intentions and who is behind him and for what purposes needs found out now as we have a President that doesn’t care for America, supports our enemies and the proof is in his actions or inactions. Questions by both sides of the aisles in Congress need to be finding out before it’s too late. Arming fed agencies, placing in appointments only those who agree with his agenda including Hagel-endless signs of major trouble coming.
Kepha says
Hummer, I agree with you, but I fear that “thinking Americans” are a dying breed, as the re-election of the O shows, and the unquestioned anointing of Shrillary Shrooo as next POTUS shows even more. I only hope that the next election cycles prove me wrong!
Bukkdem Jizheads says
Why does no one doubt the killing of Bin Laden? Not one photo, video or recorded statement was made by him since Tora Bora. No photo of him dead was provided, even though that is a strategic, military practice to defuse insurgents (remember dead Ché propped up in front of daily newspapers?) . The excuse is they shot him beyond recognition but surely the Seals would be trained to restrain themselves. If they can silence the State Dept. employees who were attacked in Benghazi, they can silence (or kill) the Seals.
