Note yet again the lack of any acting agent in the PTI report: whenever Islamic jihadists are the perpetrators, the mainstream media does its best to obscure that fact by removing all mention of who actually did the deed. And so we hear that seven were killed in blasts, but not who set them off.
“Seven killed in three separate blasts in Pakistan,” Press Trust of India, May 24, 2014:
Six soldiers and a civilian were killed in three separate bombings in Pakistan, including twin blasts in the heavily guarded capital.
The blasts came a day after Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan said a new security policy had been prepared for the safety of big cities and the army will also be part of patrols to check rebel attacks.
The first bomb exploded in the city’s posh super market near a medical store, killing a security guard and wounding another, police said.
The bomb was hidden in a plastic bag and exploded when a security guard kicked it for checking, a police official said.
“Both legs of the security guard were blown off and he later died due to excessive bleeding,” he said.
Shortly afterwards, the second explosion occurred in Karachi Company area of Islamabad. The bomb was hidden in a vehicle parked outside another market. The explosion damaged the vehicle but no one was hurt.

Hi Robert,
Do you have or know of a Jihad attack “frequency graph?
Is it just my imagination or is the number and frequency of Jihad attacks, around the world increasing?
Anybody have any information on current attack rates vs. year over year averages?

the site thereligionofpeace.com lists jihadattacks with dates, so you could at calculate it from that data.

There are more countries with jihadists and more reporting. The Salafist ideology promoted by Saudi Arabia is bearing fruit. Arab Spring led to an explosion of jihad movements. Such information as ‘frequency’ charts may be in some of the terrorism think-tanks, but may not be for public view. You would have to generate your own. http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/ may be able to help.

I’m getting the same feeling.
I think it began to tick upward when Obama was elected, and has gotten worse and worse throughout his time in office. Reason? – the world’s “definitive” non-Muslim country (USA) is projecting appeasement and weakness. And *that* is affecting *everybody*.

It sure seems like it, Dave—we’ve now at over 23,000 Jihad attacks just sine 9/11.
I believe that Islam has been resurgent from the past fifty years or so—but the revival is fast accelerating, especially since the “Arab Spring”.
And any revival of Islam means more bloody Jihad attacks. And the weak and appeasing reaction from the West—especially, as DDA notes, the election (and reelection) of Obama, has just emboldened them further.
And—optimist though I usually am—I don’t see things getting better any time soon—just the opposite, in fact.

I suspect at some point, a worldwide Jihadi storm is coming. It might be useful in predicting when such a storm might occur, if one had an eye on the frequency and intensity (body count) of Jihad attacks.
One theory being that the Global Jihad might feed and intensify itself, once a certain “critical mass” of activity is reached. This because Jihadis worldwide would be given “heart” and encouragement to act by reading accounts of the depredations of other “Believers.” It might also give the more militant Muslims a louder voice – the Arab “Strong Horse” syndrome.
In addition, a frequency graph might be useful in persuading those Infidels, who still have with half a brain, that there really IS a problem.
And really, isn’t this the pure essence of Jihad watch?
Just seems like we should be paying attention to this.

Pakistan: Islamic jihadists murder seven in three separate blasts
…………………………
Even the “Land of the Pure” isn’t pure enough for these pious Jihadists.
And why not? When Muslims run out of Infidels to slaughter, they just turn on their “insufficiently islamic” coreligionists. *Ugh*.
