Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Pope Francis refers to “State of Palestine” on Holy Land trip, calls Mahmoud Abbas a “man of peace”

May 25, 2014 6:41 pm By Robert Spencer

AbbasFrancisA tremendous show of support for the genocidal jihad against Israel. A dark day for the papacy, the Roman Catholic Church, and free people everywhere.

“Pope Francis Refers to ‘State of Palestine’ on Holy Land Trip, Calls Mahmoud Abbas a ‘Man of Peace,’” Associated Press, May 25, 2014:

JERUSALEM (AP) — Pope Francis delivered a powerful boost of support to the Palestinians during a Holy Land pilgrimage Sunday, repeatedly backing their statehood aspirations, praying solemnly at Israel’s controversial separation barrier and calling the stalemate in peace efforts “unacceptable.”

Palestinian officials hailed Francis’ decision to refer to the “state of Palestine.” In its official program, the Vatican referred to President Mahmoud Abbas as the president of the “state of Palestine,” and his Bethlehem office as the “presidential palace.” He pointedly called Abbas a “man of peace.”

On the second day of a three-day swing through the region, the pope arrived in Bethlehem, the birthplace of Christianity, before heading to Israel for the final leg of his visit.

Even the pope’s arrival in Bethlehem — by helicopter straight from Jordan — carried important symbolic significance. Past papal visits to the West Bank previously have come through Israel, which captured the territory in the 1967 Mideast war.

“Coming to Bethlehem and flying to Bethlehem from Jordan shows solidarity with the Palestinian people, which is wonderful. We need that,” said Samar Sakkakin, a 52-year-old Palestinian American from Canton, Michigan.

In November 2012, the U.N. General Assembly overwhelmingly recognized a “state of Palestine” in the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem — lands Israel captured in the 1967 war — as a non-member observer. Israel objects to the Palestinian campaign, saying it is an attempt to bypass negotiations.

“I am with you,” he told a group of Palestinian children at a stop in Bethlehem’s Deheishe refugee camp. He also held a private lunch with five Palestinian families who say they have been harmed by Israeli policies.

Jubilant Palestinians cheered Francis as he arrived in Bethlehem’s Manger Square, shouting “Viva al-Baba!” or “Long live the pope!” Giant Palestinian flags in red, white, green and black and the Vatican’s yellow-and-white flags decorated the square, which is home to the Church of the Nativity, built over the grotto where many Christians believe Jesus was born.

Francis’ arrival came weeks after the latest round of U.S.-backed peace talks collapsed. During nine months of negotiations, little — if any — progress was made, and there are no signs of talks resuming anytime soon.

Standing alongside Abbas at a welcome ceremony, Francis declared: “The time has come to put an end to this situation, which has become increasingly unacceptable.”

He said both sides needed to make sacrifices to create two states, with internationally recognized borders, based on mutual security and rights for everyone. He urged both sides to refrain from any actions that would derail peace.

In his remarks, Abbas voiced his concerns about the recent breakdown in peace efforts and lamented the difficult conditions facing the Palestinians.

Abbas said he would welcome papal intervention. “We welcome any initiative from you to make peace a reality in the Holy Land,” Abbas said….

That is like calling Adolf a man of peace and Nazism a political ideology of peace in 1939, with the hope that nice words will make it so. Pope Francis is wrong and unhelpful on so many levels. Maybe his “redistribution of wealth through UN intervention” policy will help. Ooops. More insane wishful thinking.

Pope Francis is playing the hundreds of years old Jesuit game of talking out of both sides of his mouth. No doubt he will issue statements and perform deeds that will p.o. both sides before he is thru his trip’s real purpose, talks with the Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem. I assume he is aware enough of the intrinsic, evil of mohammedan boasts of world conquest but he has to play at being “neutral”. If he really IS even vaguely sympathetic to the mass murderers of Secularists, Hindus, Buddhists, Zoroastrians, Christians and Jews, then the R.C.C. the last bastion of ancient Roman Civilization is well on its way to oblivion.

As a non-Catholic who bears a combination of both admiration and disdain for the Church, I am trying to give this pope the benefit of every doubt. At this point, however, I am find that effort to be “trying”.

Francis seems to me to be one step away from bringing some of the historically ugliest attitudes of Catholocism front stage center. Nevertheless, it also appears the pope may have unwittingly allowed himself to be manoevered into a position of a propaganda tool:

“True Christianity”? The one that Luther began due to the Politics of the time while a Franciscan Monk? Or maybe the other version as a result of a King who wanted multiple wives? Then again it could be one of the many denominations which were a result of American’s rebelling against England. I left the Catholic Church years ago due to the preponderance of sexual abuse. I have since returned because of the true power of the Sacraments. Nothing of Man is perfect, including all organized religion. The current Pope Francis MUST work both “sides of the fence”, otherwise he is totally discounted by either the Jews or the Muslims. Oh, yes both sides must be taken into consideration. Let’s not forget the “Good Samaritan” (Syrian)

Rob Manny, I left the Catholic Church — and will *never* look back — because it has neither moral nor intellectual credibility. It hasn’t had either for centuries. Not even the bishops believe the doctrine they claim to uphold! This apostate church is ripe for severe condemnation by a holy, righteous God.

The idea that “nothing is perfect” is a cop-out. God expects — nay, *demands* — that those who claim authority in His name do not take it in vain for their own agendas and ambitions. Institutionalized Christianity as a whole has done this for centuries. If Jesus truly founded the Catholic Church — as Catholics claim — then it will fall under a particularly heavy burden of condemnations.

Thank you for sharing, Joseph D’Hippolito …

A very close friend of my husband and I also left the Catholic church, and he has shared very similar things with us, too.

Yes; Jesus had some very stern words for the seven churches in Revelation …

You may find this information from “Got Questions” informative regarding the seven churches in Revelation:

Question: “What do the seven churches in Revelation stand for?”

Answer: The seven churches described in Revelation 2-3 are seven literal churches at the time that John the apostle was writing Revelation. Though they were literal churches in that time, there is also spiritual significance for churches and believers today. The first purpose of the letters was to communicate with the literal churches and meet their needs at that time. The second purpose is to reveal seven different types of individuals/churches throughout history and instruct them in God’s truth.

Transmaster, the Jesuit order long ago ceased to be “soldiers of Christ,” as Ignatius Loyola intended, and has become one of the most secular orders in the Catholic Church.

Jihad3Tracker, the Catholic Church has been “submissive” (i.e., ecumenically indulgent of Islam) since the Second Vatican Council, which produced “Nostra Aetate,” a document that encouraged a more tolerant attitude toward Jews — and added this whopper concerning Muslims:

“The Church regards with esteem also the Moslems. They adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all- powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth,(5) who has spoken to men; they take pains to submit wholeheartedly to even His inscrutable decrees, just as Abraham, with whom the faith of Islam takes pleasure in linking itself, submitted to God. Though they do not acknowledge Jesus as God, they revere Him as a prophet. They also honor Mary, His virgin Mother; at times they even call on her with devotion. In addition, they await the day of judgment when God will render their desserts to all those who have been raised up from the dead. Finally, they value the moral life and worship God especially through prayer, almsgiving and fasting.

Since in the course of centuries not a few quarrels and hostilities have arisen between Christians and Moslems, this sacred synod urges all to forget the past and to work sincerely for mutual understanding and to preserve as well as to promote together for the benefit of all mankind social justice and moral welfare, as well as peace and freedom.”

Pope John Paul II was the most fervent architect of appeasement toward Muslims.

Thanks for posting this. Joseph D’Hippolito quoted:

“The Church regards with esteem also the Moslems. They adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all- powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth…”
          …………………………..

This is, of course, utter rot—the vicious “Allah” is not the same as the Christian God at all.

          More:

Though they do not acknowledge Jesus as God, they revere Him as a prophet…
          …………………………..

You would think that Muslims merely disagree on the crucifixion and resurrection—these are huge differences, but it goes even deeper than that. The “Jesus”—really, “Isa”—of Islam is *nothing* like the Jesus of the Gospels—he is not a healer or peacemaker.

          More:

In addition, they await the day of judgment when God will render their desserts to all those who have been raised up from the dead…
          …………………………..

And what do those “desserts” look like? For Christians, they entail having “Jesus” offer them Islam or death—and his *killing* any Christians who balk at conversion.

How can they act as though this is just an inconsequential difference?

          More:

Finally, they value the moral life and worship God especially through prayer, almsgiving and fasting.
          …………………………..

Fasting is unimportant in and of itself—and it is the *content* of those prayers that counts. For Muslims, that includes *praying for the destruction of Jews and Christians*.

And there is not indication that “almsgiving” seldom means actual charity—that is why most charities in the Muslim world are run by Wester Christians, Jews, and secularists, *not* Muslims.

What is more important with “Zakat” is funding the spread of islam—and while that sometimes means Da’wa, it can also mean *funding violent Jihad*.

In reality, Islam has almost nothing in common with Christianity. Ignorance *at best*, appeasement at worst.

That line sounds like it was taken from a CAIR coexist sound-bite.

          Just a friendly reminder,
Muslims do not actually revere Jesus.
They only name-drop the name of Jesus in an attempt to legitimize Muhammad.
Muslims wish to use the name of ‘Jesus’ merely as a stepping-stone,
          nothing more.

Though they do not acknowledge Jesus as God, they revere Him as a prophet…
          ……….

Not only is this technically incorrect; it leaves out the most important difference between the Judaeo-Christian Jesus and the Islamic “Issa” — namely, that the former is a capital crime under Islamic law. Islam has been from the beginning to now a conscious, clear, direct and official system of an anti-Christ position — since the mainstream Christian doctrines of Christology (Jesus is divine) and Trinity constitute “Shirk” in Islam, which is under Islam worse than murder — and makes Christians in the eyes of Muslims Mushrikoon (practitioners of “Shirk” ) — not only worse than murderers, not only horrible blasphemers, but also “filthy” (najasun; cf. Koran 9:28, often misleadingly translated “pagans” or “idolaters”).

Furthermore, just as Islamic law conceives no difference between State and Religion, and between Law and Religion, it also blurs the line between capital crimes and crimes of sedition — “disorder in the land” (fitna, re 2:191-193).

There is yet another line Islam blurs to this day: between the government as the lawful agent of ferreting out and punishing lawbreakers (and keep in mind the above points about Islamic law), and between the People acting as deputized lynchers and/or lynch-mobs.

Frank (Pope Francis) is a libtard. What’s to explain?

I.e., the problem lies not in some aspect of Catholic culture, but in the broader neurosis of PC MC, which has affected in various ways millions of Westerners ranging from Leftists to Conservatives, Christians to Jews, Atheists to Agnostics, “Elites” to non-“Elites”.

Just to pluck one example from a Papal tiara out of dozens one could adduce:

Frank took precisely the wrong stand with regard to Pope Benedict’s 2005 lecture at Regensburg that caused worlwide Islamic rage:

Reacting within days to [Pope Benedict’s lecture], speaking through a spokesman to Newsweek Argentina, then Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio declared his “unhappiness” with the statements, made at the University of Regensburg in Germany, and encouraged many of his subordinates with the Church to do the same.

“Pope Benedict’s statement don’t reflect my own opinions”, the then Archbishop of Buenos Aires declared. “These statements will serve to destroy in 20 seconds the careful construction of a relationship with Islam that Pope John Paul II built over the last twenty years”.

The Vatican reacted quickly, removing one subordinate, Joaquín Piña the Archbishop of Puerto Iguazú from his post within four days of his making similar statements to the Argentine national media, sending a clear statement to Cardinal Bergoglio that he would be next should he choose to persist.

Reacting to the threats from Rome, Cardinal Bergoglio cancelled his plans to fly to Rome, choosing to boycott the second synod that Pope Benedict had called during his tenure as pontiff.

The RCC Catechism allows for the possibility of salvation for Muslims “who through no fault of their own” do not have faith in Jesus Christ. The Paragraph is 841: “841 The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”
Also, there exists within the RCC a great disdain for Jews and Israel. This disdain is not native to the RCC alone, as Martin Luther and other Protestants have shared this disdain (for Jews that is).
Roman Catholicism has embraced “Replacement Theology.” Islam can fit into Roman Catholic theology. Israel cannot.

Never mind that Islam is dripping with Jew hatred. Never mind that Muslims are permitted to lie for the cause of Islam. This Pope is proving himself to be a serious useful idiot.

One wonders if the Pope even knows that the Quran proclaims Christianity to be an obsolete religion to be superseded by Islam. Muslims are laughing at the naivety an ignorance of the Pope as they use him to promote Islam and worse.

    Quran 5:17
In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: “Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every – one that is on the earth? For to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things.”

    5:51
O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

    5:72
They do blaspheme who say: “Allah is Christ the son of Mary.” But said Christ: “O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.

    5:73
They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.

    5:75
Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

    5:86
And (as for) those who disbelieve and reject Our communications, these are the companions Hell-fire.

    5:116
And behold! Allah will say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah’?” He will say: “Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.

Exactly! Francis is UN-INFORMED and UN-ACQUAINTED with the doctrine of jihad against disbelievers until victory…called ‘jihad’. Jihad is normative Islam, rather than an aberration.

Perhaps Francis is playing a clever Jesuit game of going along with the jihadists while strategically blocking them…just a guess. It won’t work, because jihadists see acquiescence as a WEAKNESS TO BE EXPLOITED.

Well it has to be remembered that the main reason why Pope Francis made this trip to the Holy Land is to honor what took place 50 years ago between then Pope Paul VI and Ecumenical Patriarch Athenagoras in Israel by meeting up with the present Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in a gesture of Christian ecumenical relations.

If anything, Pope Francis should give credit to Israel for safeguarding the Christian holy sites.

The most important thing right now in regards to this trip is for Pope Francis to speak out against the oppression taking place against Christians in the Middle East and to continue to promote Christian unity.

    May 25, 2014 at 11:01 pm

Pope Francis knows that there are only two ways ahead for Christians in the Middle East….under Islam.
    1) Engage in the language (he has no weapons)of accusation to those oppressing Christians. This won’t work, we know it won’t.
    2) Lift eyes, hearts and minds to heaven and in his spiritual power as Pope (yes he has it!) invoke the Holy Spirit to help men transcend these insurmountable issues.
They are the only options for a Pope.
A Pope who also knows that there is no kingdom on earth for Christians and that the interior heart of a Christian is already one of persecution and martyrdom.

I would love to see the Pope ‘win’ something for Jews and Christians….I understand and admire Robert Spencer and the truth he tells about Islam. But the Pope can’t win an earthly battle only a spiritual battle.

If its any comfort to those (like me) who hate to see any sign of submission to Islam….Pope Francis (the first Pope to do so) will also visit and lay a wreath at the grave of Theodore Herzl. So in the same vein of interpretation I guess that makes Pope Francis a Zionist?

For what its worth I do think that Catholic theological work regarding the Jewish Faith in no way confuses it with Islam in status. Judaism has no revoked covenants….its a mystery but it is Israel. The Church also is the People of God, Israel. The tribe of Judah and the tribe of Israel together incorporate the twelve tribes of Israel.

    Pope Benedict’s 2006 Regensburg Address –

    A Refresher Course
Since the topic is bound to come up (and has in fact already), a refresher course on Pope Benedict XVI’s Regensburg Address appears to be in order. The Boston College Center for Jewish-Christian Learning provides a helpful compilation of links and commentary on the Regensburg lecture, including the following summary:

On Sept. 12, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI gave an academic lecture in Regensburg, Germany that argued for both the reasonableness of faith and that faith divorced from reason can produce behaviors contrary to God’s will. In this context, Benedict cited the opinion of a fourteenth-century Byzatine emperor that “not acting reasonably is contrary to God’s nature.” The emperor had illustrated his claim about unreasonable religious behavior by discussing the use of violence to coerce conversion, ascribing such practices in polemical terms to Islam, and this language was quoted by Pope Benedict.

The lecture sparked international protests in many Islamic countries. The protestors had apparently concluded or were advised that Benedict himself believed Islam to be, in the quoted words from the fourteenth-century, “only evil and inhuman.” Since the papal lecture did not include any examples of unreasonable Christian behavior or reiterate formal Catholic teaching from the Second Vatican Council that the Church regards Muslims with esteem, the likelihood of unintended negative interpretations of the speech was increased.

On the other hand, some of the protests in the Muslim world themselves bordered on violence or used symbolic violence, thereby reinforcing the caricature of Islam as inherently violent that the Pope was being accused of purveying.

On Octber 12, Islamica magazine published a response to the papal lecture from 38 Muslims scholars and leaders.
Excerpts from the papal lecture, “Faith, Reason and the University: Memories and Reflections,” Sept. 12, 2006
Statement from the Director of the Vatican Press Office, Sept. 15, 2006
Statement from the Holy See’s Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Sept. 16, 2006
Pope Benedict’s statement during Sunday prayers, Sept. 17, 2006
Pope Benedict’s general audience remarks, Sept. 20, 2006

Those accustomed to reading about the address only in the context of the ensuing “Regensburg Rage” —

a rash of violent Muslim protests, culminating in the murder of a nun in Somalia and the kidnapping and beheading of an Assyrian priest in Iraq — will be surprised to discover that only a small portion of it actually touched on Islamic-Christian relations (approximately 3 paragraphs).

Rather, Pope Benedict’s focus was not so much on Islam but rather an even greater indictment of the program of dehellenization that played out in Western academia following the Reformation and the liberal theology of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and which led to the “modern self-limitation of reason,” — confining itself to that which is scientifically (mathematically and emperically) verifiable, and dismissing as irrelevant “the specifically human questions about our origin and destiny, the questions raised by religion and ethics.”

For helpful analysis of the more substantial portion of Benedict’s address, see:

The Regensburg Lecture: Thinking Rightly About God and Man by Fr. James V. Schall, S.J. (Ignatius Insight September 15, 2006).

Islam and the Vatican working together makes perfect sense if the Vatican has geo-political aims–and it does. See its treatise “Toward a Global Public Authority” (Oct 12) in which the Vatican makes its case for why it should be the global financial authority “for the common good”.

Islam is a useful tool for all those who seek to destroy nations, such as the Vatican, the UN, communists, and globalists (these groups are NOT mutually exclusive). They know they can rely on the violence of Islam to do their dirty work for them–and pretend the blood of the innocent is not on their heads.

    But God knows better.

” . . . the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.” ~ 1 Thess 5.2-3

Well said, Oceanside. You’ve hit the nail on the head. This odious collaboration between the Vatican and the enemies of Israel is nothing new.

Pope Francis doesn’t fool everyone with his public shows of compassion for the disfigured and maimed, or his pretence of being simply an ordinary citizen. Jesus had strong words for a former class of religious clerics who made public displays of their ‘piety’. Perhaps the forecast that Francis will be the last Pope is accurate. I see corruption in the *leadership* of the RC church, but that does not include every Catholic, and he is wrong to arrive at this wrongheaded conclusion by stretching what I’ve written. Frankly, anyone who *doesn’t* see the corruption in the leadership of the RC church is simply choosing to be blind to it (that’s sure to get his knickers in a bunch, eh?).

And notice that he makes no apology for calling me a drunk, but instead claims he’s being “charitable” by implying that I drink to excess. Charitable, eh? I don’t anyone here is buying that one, lol!

Well, I think that ecosse has revealed the source of his troubles and angst by stating that he’s from Glasgow and he’s “well used to anti-RC bigotry” there. Hmm, this explains the massive chip on his shoulder, which has *nothing* to do with me.

I have been reading and commenting on JW for quite a few years now and had opportunity to read hundreds of Champ’s comments. Being from Warsaw I am not less Catholic than someone from Glasgow, so I would have noticed and certainly reacted to Champ’s “attacking the RC faith” as you are alleging. Of course, there is a chance I have somehow overlooked such an “attack” and therefore I would like to ask you to refer me to the instances where Champ exercises her anti-Catholic bigotry.
Another thing: some years ago under my contract in Sweden I had the pleasure of working with a team of young men from Belfast. We also met privately in restaurants and bars. (Especially bars, of course…) A thing which I noticed and complimented them about was that regardless of how much alcohol they (well, we) consumed, they were always extremely respectful and polite toward women. (Not always toward men, though ). It would be unthinkable for any of these guys to address a woman in such a rude and uncouth way as you have addressed Champ. I never asked if they were Catholic, or Protestants, but now after reading your exchange with Champ and your own admission of “carrying a chip on the shoulder” I am inclined to assume they probably were Protestants. You’ll have to admit my assumption is quite rational, no? Still, if you shall decide to apologize to Champ for your language and tone you will remove the basis of my assumption and restore my uncertainty. Which I wouldn’t mind at all.
          Cheers,

Now there is an intriguing quote aligning destruction with women’s labour pains. No some pain that comes to a man of course.
“God knows best.” That is just the way Muslims think which is why they think everybody should be ruled by Sharia, ie the ‘words of god’
It is all ancient myth, stories shared by sheep hearers around their fires. Islam is just the Bible tweaked around by Madmo to make himself look like a prophet. When are you types going to get that? It is fatuous to quote biblical texts to
combat Islam it is all the same nonsense.

    • Al Kaffir says

      May 27, 2014 at 12:16 am

bill, All religions are indeed “ancient myths”; they are merely inventions of man. How can they all be the ‘only true faith’ when they are all different? All religious scriptures are simply collections of stories and anecdotes from scientifically illiterate people at the dawn of human history, trying to make sense of their origins and the world about them, and avoid the finality of death.

Nevertheless, most Atheists (at least those of us in Atheist Societies), uphold the right of ‘freedom of religion’ – provided it is not harming others. But clearly, Islam does great harm to people of all other faiths.

As you say, “It is fatuous to quote biblical texts to combat Islam – it is all the same nonsense.” Muslims believe that Christians and Jews distorted their scriptures, that Muhammad was the last ‘true prophet’, and Islam was the
final revealed truth of Allah. But Muhammad was a sociopathic, Arabian warlord, who hated the Jews and Christians for rejecting his bastardised version of their own scriptures – and his hatred and vengeance is revealed ad nauseum throughout the pages of the Quran, the Hadiths and the other Islamic scriptures.

One can live in hope that more and more Muslims will eventually see through the dark ‘veil’ of Islam, and recognise the commands for violence in the Quran against Jews and Christians (and indeed all unbelievers), as the rantings of an amoral hatemonger, and apostatise themselves from his accursed faith.

But the question is, ‘Do we have the luxury of time for this solution?’ I don’t believe we do, and the longer Western
leaders procrastinate and appease Islam, the longer the delay, and the further the demographic steamroller advances. If we do not take drastic action to stop Islam in its tracks – while we can, with minimal bloodshed – our democracies will be crushed by sheer weight of numbers.

This is a time in history when people of goodwill from all other faiths – and none – must unite to fight this common scourge. Whatever issues we have with each other, pale into insignificance beside those we all have with Islam. Let’s hope that the Pope has given this more thought than seems to be evident at present. United we can win, divided we will surely lose.

Pope Francis wants government involvement in addressing equality of income and injustice and helping the poor. Now, in addition to praying to God to free the U.S. of our islamo-turd president, barry hussein, and his band of muslim ass kissing democrats, (plus 2 openly muslim democrats in Congress!) … I have to ask God to give Francis enough insight to realize he himself is fast becoming an islamic tool.

As a Catholic, I thought I was over such embarrassments as this:

… How the Vatican Championed the PLO and Coerced Israel to Recognize It

    * Seven news reports, with key points highlighted

Why, in 1982, did the pope save Yasar Arafat from the jaws of political disaster and herald him as a great leader of the oppressed? Why, since at least as far back as 1982, has the Vatican made the creation of another Arab state, right on Israel’s border, and led by the most extreme, anti-Jewish faction, a central point of Catholic church diplomacy and propaganda?

    I guess not. 🙁

I don’t mean this as a criticism of Catholics or Catholicism. My whole family is Catholic. I was baptized Catholic. But I have to say the pope is a dope. He is enabling the very people who want to see him and his religion wiped off the face of the earth. He called for redistribution of wealth, in other words, stealing on a massive scale. And he has trashed capitalism, the economic philosophy that has brought more people out of poverty than any other.

The pope is naïve as he can be. And so we continue to go backwards in our fight against Islamic supremacy.

” Pope Francis delivered a powerful boost of support to the Palestinians during a Holy Land pilgrimage Sunday, repeatedly backing their statehood aspirations, praying solemnly at Israel’s controversial separation barrier and calling the stalemate in peace efforts “unacceptable.””

Lets start by saying U.S. and the press in general have not done their job with sharia law and or Islamic law these last 1400 years. Had they done so, there wouldn’t be these battles and murders world wide. Because they’d be settled
already. And the non-Muslims would know and fully understand the (truth) about sharia and Islamic law. For example the ‘religion of peace’ being in fact be similar to the ‘Trojan Horse’ cleverness.

The world would already know and corrected this unjust savage actions, for what they truly are,.

But also the Pope knows full will, he’d be hung in effigy and the riots would be over whelming, to say anything else.

Another words the fear tactic’s have worked yet again. And even the Catholic Church has submitted to sharia and Islam, because of fear and ignorance.

The free world is losing this battle against sharia law. Which means we’ll all probably become subjugated Muslim or be killed.

Once again thanks to the ignorance of the press, and its lack of knowledge, and truth…

With his remarks the Pope shows he is either delusional or in league with the One World Government and the Illuminati. His previous remarks about wealth distribution lead me to suspect he may be a Communist as well. We need to pay attention to what this man does and says because of the Billions of people he leads (?) in faith. He may be some peoples “Holy See”, but I am seeing some things that indicate he may not be what he claims.

This Pope is simply carrying on the consistent position of the Roman Catholic Church which is steeped in Replacement Theology and driven by the perspective of Eastern Catholic bishops and officials who have a great disdain for Israel. Just make a cursory look at the RCC and Israel in history including recdent history. The RCC was virtually the last political entity in the world to recognize the State of Israel. The course the RCC now takes is to condemn anti-Semitism and to condemn Zionism.

Someone told me years ago that a pope is sometimes a sheep, sometimes a fox, and sometimes a lion. Wrong. A pope is never a sheep, always a fox or a lion. He is being a fox right now. But I am not informed enough to tell you why.

” A pope is never a sheep, always a fox or a lion. He is being a fox right now.”

I don’t think so. I think that’s just wishful thinking.

I would agree with voegelinian’s assessment, above, with the caveat that in fact, I don’t think he believes in Christianity/God, at all. Like most Cardinals, it’s all about **temporal power**.

Also the man is clearly **stupid**, or so unable to comprehend what he reads, as to richly deserve the epithet ‘stupid’.

If **I** can read the Koran, and conclude that it is an utterly evil and repulsive book, from the *evidence of the written word*, why can’t he ? Equally, are we to suppose that no-one in the Vatican hierarchy has drawn his attention to the hadith, where Jews are maligned, Christians, and ‘Jesus’ is caricatured as the repulsive ‘Isa’, who will return in the ‘last days’ to break all the crosses and kill all Christians and Jews ?

Also, there is something very wrong with a soi-disant Christian who compares himself to the psychopathic murderer and coward, che Guevara.

No, in my opinion, he has shown himself to be an anti-Semite, a Communist/Fascist, and a very, very, stupid man, if he is not an out and out deliberate liar and deceiver.

He probably fancies himself as some kind of ‘statesman’, and will quite happily, and without sense or conscience, attempt to broker some kind of ‘2 state solution’, which will, of course, mean the annihilation of Israel.

I just hope Bibi tells him to go and f*!* himself.

      Long live Israel !

If **I** can read the Koran, and conclude that it is an utterly evil and repulsive book, from the *evidence of the written word*, why can’t he ?

That’s the $6,000,000,000 question (6 billion now, due to inflation).

There are, in my view, two wrong answers, from two opposite ends:

        1) The fools (PC MCs) look at us and say, “The reason you see Islam as evil and dangerous is because you have bigoted tendencies; or worse, you must be a racist hater.”

        2) On our side, many of us make the mistake of thinking that, because it’s so clear and easy to see that Islam is evil and dangerous, the only explanation for why Those Who Don’t Get It persist in their clueless myopia is that they are Stupid, or Greedy, or Lazy, or Evil.

Re #2, while some of them may be any one of those things, we cannot impute such major defects to the millions of Westerners who persist in them — particularly when many of them are not, in fact, stupid, or lazy, or sufficiently greedy, nor evil on that scale of enormity.

I haven’t yet figured out the answer to the six billion dollar question — but at least I haven’t proferred simplistic answers that could potentially have disastrous consequences down the road (in terms of unnecessarily, if not tragically, demonizing millions of our fellow Westerners).

Evidently, this is not merely a matter of Having Enough Information. It’s a matter of something more complicated, in the area of the process where information is assimilated by the brain, with of course various sociological & cultural factors involved.

Yes, we can identify the Dastardly Leftists among us as faulty in this regard, and dismiss the extremists among them as hopeless traitors. But what do we do about the millions of non-Leftists in the West who also go along with PC MC givens about Islam?

”The fools (PC MCs) look at us and say, “The reason you see Islam as evil and dangerous is because you have bigoted tendencies; or worse, you must be a racist hater”

If they’ve read the Koran et al, and can still say this, to my mind that argues **wilful stupidity**, but also no doubt they experience the pleasure of being, as they think, on the ‘morally high ground’, and therefore can feel a delightful superiority towards those who have actually more common sense and basic morality than they do. I don’t disagree that the PC/MC nonsense comes into play, as well.

”Re #2, while some of them may be any one of those things, we cannot impute such major defects to the millions of Westerners who persist in them — particularly when many of them are not, in fact, stupid, or lazy, or sufficiently greedy, nor evil on that scale of enormity”

I disagree with you there. In fact, I would say that stupidity, laziness, and greed, are **major factors** . Many people, (I won’t say most) are utterly indifferent to what is happening in their *own* countries, unless it *directly affects them*; how far more so are they indifferent to the actions of mohammedans throughout the world !

So long as these people have the telly and can watch ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, they really don’t give a tuppenny damn what’s happening in Tower Hamlets, or Brum. They will only give a damn if the mohammedans ever manage to introduce sharia, and try to force the rest of us to conform to it.

This has been true throughout history, there’s no ‘mystery’ about it.

”I haven’t yet figured out the answer to the six billion dollar question — but at least I haven’t proferred simplistic answers that could potentially have disastrous consequences down the road (in terms of unnecessarily, if not tragically, demonizing millions of our fellow Westerners).”

I believe it was Freud who said that sometimes a cigar is just a cigar; equally, sometimes it is the ‘simplistic answers’ that are true, rather than some convoluted, agonisingly complicated surmise.

To say that many, many people are stupid, greedy and lazy, and would prefer to remain in ignorance of the dangers of mohammedans and islam, (as well as many other things !) is not ‘demonising’ them, it is simply stating facts.

This demonstrates his utter and profound ignorance of the true nature of Islam. And all free people should take note that this pope is NOT an ally in our [defensive] war against Islamic jihad. In fact, each day brings us new evidence that he is an ally of Islam and an enemy of both Israel and the West.

I am a faithful Catholic who is having a very hard time accepting this pope. I was very upset when he mocked those of us who are anti-abortion, when he replaced orthodox cardinals with corrupt cronies in his inner circle, and recently, when he called for redistribution of wealth. All due respect, Holy Father, but you’re not a biological father and you are not an economist.

But THIS is the last straw.

I was disturbed when JPII kissed the Qur’an, but at the time he was infirm, and I felt he had been manipulated into that photo op. I was also angry when B16–one of the few world leaders to speak the truth about Islam–was thrown under the bus by pretty much everyone on the planet, and is now being depicted as an evil prince.

And now this guy, Francis, who gets involved with issues way over his head. He needs to be schooled in what the “religion of peace” really says about its designated infidels.

Well, there is nothing wrong with praying to St. Joseph that troublesome individuals have a happy death. Soon.

Magdi Allam, the Muslim who apostasized and converted to Catholic Christianity (baptized by Pope Benedict on Easter Sunday, no less) became so disenchanted even with Pope Benedict‘s laxity with regard to Islam that he left the Church. It’s safe to say that Magdi Allam isn’t scratching his head wondering if this Pope is wrong (and wrongheaded) about Islam; he knows he’s wrong.

I seriously think that Pope Francis has early onset Alzheimer’s. He will surely follow this up with a statement 180 degrees different from what is reported here. He’s like a gambling tout, telling one half of the audience to take the points and the other half to bet the other side. Eventually, he is pleased that he is making friends with some of the people all of the time.

    John Paul II[edit]

John Paul II met with Yasser Arafat in 1987 and generally supported greater rights for Palestinians. He was an advocate of the 1990s peace negotiations. On February 15, 2000, the Holy See concluded a basic agreement with the Palestinian Authority.[4]

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_See%E2%80%93Israel_relations

Bilateral relations under John Paul II[edit]

At the beginning of John Paul II’s Pontificate, no relations were established with the Israeli government. In 1985, the State of Israel was first mentioned in a public Vatican document.

Diplomatic incidents occurred as John Paul II met PLO chairman Arafat several times, against the protests of the Israeli government and some Jewish organizations. In 1987, the Pope met Austrian President Kurt Waldheim, an action protested by the Israeli government due to revelations about Waldheim’s wartime past.[9] Another incident occurred in January 1987, when Cardinal John J. O’Connor, Archbishop of New York, visited Israel and refused to meet Israeli President Chaim Herzog in Jerusalem, in protest of Israeli control over East Jerusalem.[10]

The Pope had a strategic aim to work for the upgrading of the positions of the Catholic communities in the Middle East from a passive minority to active citizens, participating in formulating their countries’ agendas, as he pointed out in a speech made on 11 October 1992 at the Pontifical Lateran University.[11]

On 29 July 1992, a bilateral working commission titled Permanent Bilateral Working Commission between Israel and the Holy See was established to resolve issues of relations between the Israeli government and the Vatican.

The Fundamental Agreement between the Holy See and the State of Israel, concluded on 30 December 1993, led to the opening of the Vatican Nunciature in Israel in 1994. The first Israeli Ambassador to the Vatican presented his credentials on 29 September 1994.
    ………………..

The Pope’s agendais to claim Christian historical sites from Israel-something he would never think of doing in muslim countries.

BTWm did you see the Pope praying on the TempleMount? heh

You think the muslims would allow that? Were the Pope’s lips moving?

michael carter: Change the word ‘Catholic/s’ to Christian/s and I would wholeheartedly agree with you.

A distinctive is that Catholics believe they must gain God’s favour by doing good deeds, acts of penance and much else. Biblically, Christians have already been forgiven through Christ’s redemptive death on the cross, and have accepted God’s saving grace by being born again of the Spirit (John 3:1-8). The new birth is a work of spiritual regeneration which can only be accomplished by the Holy Spirit. ‘Good deeds’ flow directly out of the desire to follow Jesus’s example and teaching. Justification cannot be earned. It is a done deed, a completed work. Jesus Himself cried out from the cross, “It is finished!” just before He drew His last breath.

A second distinctive is that Biblical Christians evangelise by obeying the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 in order to bring people to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. Catholics only ever speak of bringing people into the RC Church.

Let’s just hope and pray that phase does not go on so long that too many of us get mass-murdered by Muslims in the decades ahead this century.
