The world will little note nor long remember the suffering of Christians in Iraq or other Muslim countries. As long as no “Islamophobia” is being committed, all is well.
“50,000 Assyrians Flee Fighting in North Iraq,” AINA, June 16, 2014 (thanks to The Religion of Peace)
(AINA) — Nearly all of the population of Qaraqosh, 50,000 Assyrians, has fled the city amid fighting between ISIS and Kurds. Syrian Catholic Archbishop Mar Youhana Boutros Moshe attempted to negotiate with ISIS and the Kurds to convince them to leave the city, but the negotiations failed. ISIS and the ‘Revolutionary Tribes’ (Sunnis) are set to storm the city.
According to Bishop Yousif Habash of the Syriac Orthodox Church in New Jersey, Qaraqosh (also known as Baghdede) is now almost completely abandoned. A source reporting from Qaraqosh told AINA the population has fled to Arbel, Dohuk, Alqosh, Tel Kepe, Telsqop and Ankawa. Monasteries and churches are filled with displaced Christian refugees from Baghdede. There is an urgent need for food, water, medical aid and blankets.
Kurdish forces and ISIS pounded each other with mortars. The Kurds have positioned themselves on the east side of Qaraqosh, ISIS and the ‘Revolutionary Tribes’ have stationed themselves on the west and south side, near the villages of Tawajna and Qurtaba-Arab and south of Balawat.
ISIS has given the Kurdish forces an ultimatum to leave by 7 P.M. else face an attack.
The city is known by three names: Baghdede in Assyrian, Hamdaniya in Arabic and Qaraqosh in Turkish.

while this article is pointing to the plight of Christians in Iraq, the picture posted above is a solidarity of Iranians Assyarins some where in Iran and most likely in Kermanshah or Tehran. The sign to the left which is in Farsi is saying:
Us Iranian Assyriarns(in Farsi they call themselves Ashourian) declare our hatered of terrorist destroying people’s worship places of all religions. Of course they had to only mention terrorists, not muslim terrorists otherwise there would have not been a permit for them to protest!!! M
Peter Buckley says
The Kurds are providing the only shelter for Christians in the region. The West should offer the Kurds any military help needed. They should also be funding them to provide shelter for the Christians.
ISIS must be forced east to take on the Shia.

I certainly agree; I’d rather that they engage the Iranians.
I would also like to see the U.S. shore-up Jordan’s defenses.
IslamDownpressesMankind says
Do you have any proof the Kurds are sheltering Christians in the region? After all, Kurds are muslimes too!
joeb says
Why are they fleeing? Surely they should be holding up signs saying “#ReligionOfPeace”? Perhaps be ready with their jizya payments?
What’s the fuss for?

OT: a laugh since it is Friday. I exchanged an email about the World Cup with my son and here is his response. It is hysterical!!!!!!!!!
i’d rather play Belgium than Algeria. You never want to face 11 muslims with nothing to lose.

… unless one is prepared to go all the way – against 11 ROP types with nothing to lose.

True ! 🙂
Walter Sieruk says
The Christians of Iraq have good reason to flee that Iraqi city because the ISIL members would ,no doubt ,murder them if they have a change to.
For it is written in the Bible, “Bloodthirsty men hate a man of integrity and seek to kill the upright.” Proverbs 29:10. [NIV]
Walter Sieruk says
These Islamic members of militant Muslim force ISIL with all their murderous violence are very cruel, vicious and malicious. Likewise, they are full of evil and madness. This is their mindset. Such men as these are explained ,in part, in the Bible . Which teaches “The hearts of men are full of evil and their is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterwards they join the dead.”
Ecclesiastes 9:3. [NIV]
Chabuco says
How islamophobic of them!
Uri says
Death to ISIS!
Long live Kurdistan!!
John C. Barile says
I agree.

Yes, get the Christians and others who refuse to submit to Islam out of there. Let ISIL try to establish its caliphate and then let them and the Iranians bleed each other dry. We can watch from the sidelines and see which of two dead men walking makes it to the grave first….and then we can finish off what is left and fill up the hole. It would be a fitting end for those who submit to evil. Do I seem to be growing harsher? Well, as I mentioned before…my patience is growing thin. It WILL eventually come down to them or us.
Jean-Francois Morf says
Muhammad is AnteChrist, the false prophet predicted in the new testament for 666 years after Christ, an Allah is Satan, unique, intolerant, ordering the genocide of the christians and the jews. Good would never order the killing of the jews and the christians. Pope should let christians in, and muslims out. Question to any muslim: would you be proud to have a pedophiliac father having killed 800 jews just for fucking their wives, girls, and babes?
A father so hated from his 13 legitimate women that they poisoned him and he beheaded them? Are you proud to copy Muhammad?

**Fifty thousand Assyrian Christians** – representing the indigenous, pre-Islamic culture of that part of the world – have now been driven from their homes.
What *should* be happening is that majority-Christian countries all over the West should be offering these poor people – who are threatened with outright genocide – safe haven.
I’d rather have the whole 50 000 come to Australia, than that we let in even *one* more Mohammedan.
There is nothing to stop each one of us from writing to our governments stating that we wish **Christians** – and ONLY the Christians – from Iraq and Syria to be given top priority when we consider our refugee-and-asylum intake. And stuff the bl**dy UN if they squawk about “discrimination”. Too right we’ll discriminate…because these people represent NO threat (unlike the Muslims) and they are *the* single most desperately-endangered group in that part of the world.
And the other thing we can do for them is to contribute to Barnabas Fund’s program on their behalf.

Money donated to Barnabas can and does get through and will translate into food, medicine and blankets for our suffering fellow-infidels.
