This is entirely in accord with Islamic law. Kidnapping infidels and releasing them for ransom or killing them, as well as enslaving them if that option is deemed most advantageous for the Muslims, is fully sanctioned in Islamic law: “As for the captives, the amir [ruler] has the choice of taking the most beneficial action of four possibilities: the first to put them to death by cutting their necks; the second, to enslave them and apply the laws of slavery regarding their sale and manumission; the third, to ransom them in exchange for goods or prisoners; and fourth, to show favor to them and pardon them. Allah, may he be exalted, says, ‘When you encounter those [infidels] who deny [the Truth=Islam] then strike [their] necks’ (Qur’an sura 47, verse 4)” — Abu’l-Hasan al-Mawardi, al-Ahkam as-Sultaniyyah (The Laws of Islamic Governance), trans. by Dr. Asadullah Yate, (London), Ta-Ha Publishers Ltd., 1996, p. 192.
“Witnesses say 60 more girls and women, 31 boys abducted by extremists in northeast Nigeria,” by Haruna Umar and Michelle Faul, The Associated Press, June 23, 2014 (thanks to all who sent this in):
MAIDUGURI, Nigeria – Islamic extremists have abducted 60 more girls and women and 31 boys from villages in northeast Nigeria, witnesses said Tuesday.
Security forces denied the kidnappings. Nigeria’s government and military have been widely criticized for their slow response to the abductions of more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped April 15.
There was no way to safely and independently confirm the report from Kummabza, 150 kilometres (95 miles) from Maiduguri, capital of Borno state and headquarters of a military state of emergency that has failed to curtail near-daily attacks by Boko Haram fighters.
Kummabza resident Aji Khalil said Tuesday the abductions took place Saturday in an attack in which four villagers were killed. Khalil is a member of one of the vigilante groups that have had some success in repelling Boko Haram attacks with primitive weapons.
A senior local councillor from the village’s Damboa local government told The Associated Press that abductions had occurred but insisted on anonymity because he was not authorized to give information to reporters. He said elderly survivors of the attack had walked some 25 kilometres (15 miles) to the relative safety of other villages.
The Damboa council secretary, Modu Mustapha, said he could not confirm or deny the abductions and directed a reporter to the council chairman, Alamin Mohammed, who did not answer phone calls or respond to text messages.
The new kidnappings add to Nigeria’s crisis over the April kidnappings and the ongoing violence from the Islamic militant group Boko Haram.
A strategy to rescue the girls appears to have reached an impasse. Nigeria’s military has said it knows where they are but fears their abductors would kill them if any military action is taken. Boko Haram has been demanding the release of detained members in exchange for its hostages but President Goodluck Jonathan has said he will not consider a swap.
Politics have bedeviled the issue, with many distracted by upcoming presidential elections in February 2015. The first lady, Patience Jonathan, and some other supporters have claimed the reports of the April abductions of the schoolgirls were fabricated to discredit her husband’s administration.
Last week, a presidential committee investigating the kidnappings stressed that they did in fact happen and clarified the number of students who have been kidnapped. It said there were 395 students at the school, 119 escaped during the siege of the school, another 57 escaped in the first couple of days of their abduction, leaving 219 unaccounted for.
This year, the Boko Haram insurgents have embarked on a two-pronged strategy — bombing in cities and a scorched-earth policy in rural areas where they are devastating villages. Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, the central city of Jos and the northeastern state capital of Maiduguri, the birthplace of Boko Haram, all have been bombed.
On Monday, an explosion at a medical college in the northern city of Kano killed at least eight people and wounded 12, police said. It was the third bomb blast in four months in Kano, Nigeria’s second city.
Also on Saturday, the same day as the latest abductions, scores of Boko Haram fighters attacked four other villages, near Chibok town from which the girls were kidnapped. Witnesses said at least 33 villagers were killed as well as six vigilantes and about two dozen Boko Haram fighters….

Allah must be very proud of his prophet muhammed.

I always make a point of **never** capitalising anything to do with islam. Small and petty, perhaps, but satisfying !
I always call ‘muslims’ **mohammedans** as well. Istanbul Chick, who used to post here a lot, and actually converted to islam, and then saw the light, used to tell us that calling muslims ‘mohammedans’, absolutely **infuriated** them, so now I always do so. 🙂

Thank you, Mirren10! I didn’t know that “Chick” made this known about using the term ***mohammedans***…and I sure do miss her 😐
Hope you are well, my friend! xo

I use “Mohammedans” all the time. Great if it infuriates the barbaric savages! I also prefer “mosk” to “mosque.” They don’t like that either! Hah! Mohammedans and Mosks!

Hi, Champ !

Nigeria: Islamic jihadists abduct 60 more girls and women, 31 boys
……………………….
And why not? There have been *no* repercussions for Boko Haram for having kidnapped over *300 girls* so already.
Not only is kidnapping perfectly Halal, but so is taking Infidel girls and women for rape and forced marriage.
For centuries, the Caliphate took Infidel girls for the Caliph’s Harem and to sell into sex slavery.
Then there was the horrific Janissary system that pressed Infidel boys into fighting for the Muslim overlords, often using them to target the very Infidel population they were torn from in the first place.
If they cannot escape, this will no doubt be the fate of the kidnapped boys.
God, I hate islam.
And will the Nigerian authorities do *anything* now to oppose them? With the military and police riddled with Muslim sympathizers and enablers of Boko Haram and the First Lady insanely claiming that the whole thing is a hoax, I’m not sure we can count on it…

The boys won’t just be forced to fight, they’ll probably be sodomized too, and killed if they resist.

The emulators of Muhammad mirror his vile image and spread the disease of a soul that was infected by pure evil. This putrid “religion” must and will be consigned to the deepest depths of hell. The time for its demise is long past due. The stench of its rot and decay fill me with disgust. May the people of this world soon gain the strength they need to cleanse the Earth of such an abomination to mankind.

We keep on hearing of atrocities committed by Boko Harem and their motives described as follows – “This is entirely in accord with Islamic law. Kidnapping infidels and releasing them for ransom or killing them, as well as enslaving them if that option is deemed most advantageous for the Muslims, is fully sanctioned in Islamic law: ”
We should be a bit more cautious and investigate whether there is more to their motive.
Going back in our history it is clear that there was never any difference between Tom Hayden and Pol Pot except – of course – that Pol Pot had the guts to act on it and Tom Hayden didn’t. Belief wise and ideology wise there was no difference. How Pol Pot went about accomplishing it, and how Tom Hayden went about accomplishing it were indeed different – but that is about it.
Boko Harems’ atrocities have been true to their agenda. That they first kidnapped girls – not boys – was and is of extreme importance. Then they kidnapped pregnant young women. Of course they did. How better to destroy a social order than to kidnap girls who later could bear children, and then kidnap young pregnant women who are bearing children.
And then as to the traditional protectors of a way of life they massacred men and, now, boys.
And now for what no one will like. Aside from their atrocious violence how are their beliefs that their actions realize different from our Leftists?
The answer is this – there is no difference in agenda and beliefs. There is a difference in how the two – Boko Harem in Africa and Leftists in the United States – go about bringing it to fruition.
More attention should be paid to this.

I’m not quite sure what your point is, Lawrence.
I would certainly agree there is a close affinity between the Left, and islam. Hence all the leftard apologists for islam. Both believe in total control, and contempt for individual rights and liberties.
As Wellington has described islam many times, it is ”spiritual Fascism”.
As far as the Left goes, however, I think they try to **use** islam, as a method of bringing about what they desire, the subjugation of individual human beings to the **state**.
islam, however, will not be used in that way, as the Left in Iran discovered. They helped to bring about the fall of the Shah, and the reign of the Ayatollahs, only to discover the Ayatollahs turned on them. killed them, and imprisoned them. They tried to ride the tiger, but got eaten instead.
mortimer says
Enslavement is normative Islam, rather than an aberration. All Muslims must believe slavery is good and ‘merciful’ or they have left Islam and are apostates who should be executed.
Slavery is Allah’s plan for kafirs. Western Muslims should be challenged to see if they reject slavery…if they do reject slavery, they are apostate…murtad!
Watch them squirm.
eib says
Violence, rape, kidnapping, enslavement, mass murder, dispossession and cultural genocide are the heart and soul of Islam.
Wellington says
Here’s a bottom line I would proffer for anyone seeking the truth about Mo’s creed: Boko Haram should be far more listened to when it pronounces upon Islamic doctrine than should CAIR.
Put another way, Boko Haram is accurate and CAIR is deceptive. Only liars or ignoramuses would choose deception over accuracy.
