“Radicalisation” is a word adopted by the West in a vane attempt to explain why muslims are acting differently. In fact, it can be explained very simply in Islamic terms: THEY ARE ENACTING MEDINA VERSES RATHER THAN MECCA VERSES. They’re simply reading the Quran in the correct way. However, this a huge tactical error, since this is only supposed to happen WHEN MUSLIMS HOLD THE BALANCE OF POWER. Therefore, it is now being exposed when they are in the minority.
Whenever somebody suggests that muslims are RE-ACTING to events thousands of miles away, I always link to this article, BY A MUSLIM:
“When I was still a member of what is probably best termed the British Jihadi Network, a series of semi-autonomous British Muslim terrorist groups linked by a single ideology, I REMEMBER HOW WE USED TO LAUGH IN CELEBRATION whenever people on TV proclaimed that the sole cause for Islamic acts of terror like 9/11, the Madrid bombings and 7/7 was WESTERN FOREIGN POLICY.
By blaming the government for our actions, those who pushed the ‘Blair’s bombs’ line did our propaganda work for us. More important, they also helped to draw away any critical examination from the real engine of our violence: ISLAMIC THEOLOGY.
http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2007/jul/01/comment.religion1
So remember, next time you hear it is the West’s fault, be sure that the people involved are laughing at the suggestion. It gives them an excuse, see?
Straight from the horse’s mouth………
PRCS says
That is true.
it’s NOT “radicalism”.
It’s literalism.
shrugger says
Rarely do you see anyone physically squirm so much as the imam did in that segment.
Utterly blindsided by the truth!
Jay Boo says
I hate to say this but, Ezra Levant did interrupt frequently and took a few liberties extrapolating with the known facts.
Jack Diamond says
Being picky about it and overly critical, strictly in terms of debate (as opposed to the truth of the matter) Ezra should have better thought out, not his accusations, but the Imam’s response and what Ezra’s follow-up response should have been to nail him. Too many things were left up in the air: support of Hizballah? –no,nothing to do with me, I don’t even know their flag; quoting Qaradawi? no, just on an obscure theological question,no support for the MB at all here; shari’a for Canada? of course not, I meant only in Muslim countries –okay Ezra pretty much nailed him here just didn’t quite complete the knockout; Christian missionaries in Indonesia kidnapping Muslim children to convert them? No, that article was a lie, I never said that; shari’a censorship of free speech regarding Islam? no, these are just Canada’s own laws against hate speech.
“Pakistani medieval thug” was the memorable line. Nothing wrong with Ezra’s justifiable anger and we need many more Ezra Levants defying and confronting these lying, deceiving mouthpieces of Islam.
Jay Boo says
My guess is that Ezra Levant had a limited time in this debate format and rushed his interruptions too early to effectively draw out the untruths of the Imam.
bettina says
I regretted that Ezra gave his anger away to this guy. That’s one of the things these muslim thugs rely on: getting under our skin, then laughing about it.
I still remember an anchor on Fox News who mocked his UK muslim guest several times during the debate. It’s the mocking and the scoffing that get them.
They can out-match our anger and outrage any time, by revving themselves up into the usual raging histrionic frenzies of third-world muslim “debaters.”

Another gem that gets called up by squiming imams when necessary is the “you follow your religion, I’ll follow mine.”
Problem is, his “religion” has more rules for me than for him! My religion only has rules for me. Further, following Islam, Mohammedans are commanded to fight everyone else’s religion until there are only Muslims.
No truly decent and civilized person would “follow” the “religion” of Islam of their own free will, which is why Islam works to extinguish it.

I concur!
CJ Milan says
Ezra has right to publish those cartoons.
Thomas says
I was so hoping that the pictures of moh would be shown right then and there, and watch the idiot imam explode. They could have pushed the imam a little more. But great example of islam squirming. This needs to be done much more often. Confronting evil, head on, in a public forum.

Greetings:
With all due respect, someone should tell Mr. Levant that an AK-47 (as depicted on the Hezbollah flag) is not a machine-gun, it’s an assault weapon. Machine-guns use belt-fed ammunition while assault weapons use magazine-fed ammo. Thus, machine-guns can put out a continuous stream of fire while assault weapons stop when the magazine empties.
KrazyKafir says
Wow, talk about picking the fly shit out of the pepper.
David Race says
An AK-47 is a machine gun. It falls under the standard definition of machine gun, and it would be considered such by the US government. I never once heard the AK-47 referred to as an assault weapon when I was on active duty in the Marines.
Gleaner1 says
Well done Ezra, THAT’s the way to do it, as Cpl Jones would say “They don’t like it up em sir”.
Boston Tea Party says
Of course Ezra cleaned his clock, but this imam still understands exactly how modern western societies work and how he can manipulate western values and gain the sympathy of western leftists. He knows very well that if he says he wants the cartoons banned in the name of sharia law, it won’t have any traction. But if he says that the cartoons represent “hatred towards Muslims”, then large swaths of westerners will support his calls for censorship.
freedom to dislike islam says
Your post is so right on. The idea of Hate Speech is the cancer of freedom of speech. This Inman knows how to play the game.
Mirren10 says
Spot on !
occupant 9 says
Muslims are not to blame for anything they say or do, we are. Even if we provide explicit examples of what they say or do, Muslims employ taqiyya, liberally; it’s the only liberal thing they do.
“Inciting hate against Muslims” means repeating what Muslims say about Jews and Christians and believe about themselves, and then their violence and lawfare becomes, again, our fault.
“Islamophobia” is nothing more than an attempt to make it spectacularly unreasonable to apply simple reason to the criticism and analysis of Islam.
Charli Main says
Cartoons of the insane paedophile Mohammed of Islam violates the ” human rights ” of Muslims and promotes hatred against their religion of Peace.
Muslims waving placards saying ” kill infidels” “behead those that insult the prophet” ” Islam will rule the World ” ” there is no law except sharia” are all OK because they are just Muslims practicing “their human rights”
Salah says
Drawing Muhammad is not “inciting hate against Muslims”.
What’s wrong with drawing him wearing make up and a nice little pink dress? It’s in their books. We’re only “revering” islamic books, that’s all!!!

” . . . it doesn’t turn out to be a debate. Just another self righteous imam spewing the the garbage words in the garbage, . . . ”
Accurate point. I long for a calm, true debate, a truly rare event when Muslims and Islam are involved. A shoutfest as in this case can’t really inform or persuade the observer ignorant of the situation or of the true differences involved.
Kilfincelt says
We need to remember that in the eyes of many Muslims Jihadists aren’t terrorists but freedom fighters. I just wish Ezra had called him out on that. Otherwise, I loved watching the Imam squirm.
David says
Ha, these Muslims don’t like their own quotes brought up. The truth is hate speech to Muslims.
Champ says
The imam stated that he didn’t know what the Hezbollah flag looked like? Right! …oh excuse “my ignorance”, he said. Oh please, what a liar.
Ezra did a great job considering that he was talking to a lying buffoon. Wow and that was the most annoying debate I’ve ever listened to with the imam’s rants and lies being the chief annoyance.
“Kill his mike!” ..you go, Ezra! Exactly, since the imam had nothing to say but one lie after another.
mark says
Guess who’s side Obama would take? Canada leans that way too, I mean our courts and our media. Most of the citizens are aware that Islam is behind terrorism. What needs to happen is to get as many people as possible to display these cartoons, on t-shirts or something.
Steve says
Hahahahaha! that was great Ezra owned his medevil ass.
BW022 says
That happens to me all the time. I go to a taxation protest and someone behind me holds up a Nazi Germany flag. I go to a sewage treatment plant protest and a bunch of random guys in white hoods and burning crosses show up. Last time we were at a picket line and folks behind us were holding up the Animal Liberation Front posters. I hate that when that happens.
Worse… there is absolutely nothing we could do about it. There are like two hundred of us there and we can’t ask them to leave, we can’t tell them to take down the flags, we can’t ask the police to get them away from us, we don’t immediately tell the media they are there to disrupt the protest, we can’t use the mega-phone to shout them down or at least distance themselves, etc.
So Mr. Iman… why didn’t some people join your protest with say Israeli flags? Does anyone think the crowd wouldn’t have noticed them or would have been standing around confused for hours trying to figure out how to distance yourselves from them? It wouldn’t occur to someone to say… beat the snot out of them, push them away, tear down their flags, call the police over, chant at them, tell the media they are trying to make you look bad, etc.
Yes… it wasn’t your fault that they showed up at your protest or that you were powerless to say or do anything about it.
Peter Hartgerink says
I am not blind to Islam’s agenda to take over our culture (and every nation) but I thought Ezra would have been more persuasive if he had been more courteous, allowing the Imam to finish his points and then responding to them. Frankly I find this sort of video feeds the accusation that those who are concerned about Islam are hate-mongers. To anyone not already aware of the issues, Ezra comes across as rude and the Imam comes across as an innocent victim. Ezra is partly responsible for creating this impression by his behaviour on the video, IMHO.
laoch says
Pity there is not more people like Ezra Levant on television and non on Europen television.
Edward Vaughn says
Once again we have a belligerent questioner not allowing answers to be fully formed, regardless how ludicrous. Basic manners call for silence when the other person is speaking. For the imam to claim he doesn’t know the Hezbollah flag, is ridiculous. But to bully him by demanding an answer to ANOTHER question before he has finished answering the first is simply obnoxious. This type of rudeness, from either side, must end. Moderators MUST have a switch to cut off the bellicose and allow answers to be completed—even if they are crap.
Mirren10 says
”For the imam to claim he doesn’t know the Hezbollah flag, is ridiculous. But to bully him by demanding an answer to ANOTHER question before he has finished answering the first is simply obnoxious.”
Nonsense.
Syed Soharwardy didn’t **answer** any of Ezra’s questions at all; even when confronted with his own words and writings, he simply denied he had ever said that, or written that.
What is the point of allowing a bare faced liar to continue lying ?
Denis says
This Imam is a perfect example of a person who should be booted out of Canada. Send this guy back to Pakistan. The one thing I sense is how this imam lies. He lies about his knowledge of Hezbollah, He lies about radicalization of Muslims in Canada. The religion of peace. What a farcical pronouncement. It is the religion of hate. It Hates Everything that is of the Western World, and this guy symbolizes that HATE. Kick him out….NOW
mezcukor says
Ezra thank you for a wonderful interview. The Imam is lying trough his teeth. Way to go Ezra. Publish more cartoons. The Imam is a Muslim who hates Canada and would love to impose sharia in Canada. Of course he knows what the Hezbollah is and he would not denounce Hamas as a terrorist entity. Disgusting.
Helmuth says
He, the imam loves Canada… since according to koran we ALL are muslims just the circumstances made us unbelievers… So when they will be in majority they will impose koranic laws for all of us…
Barb Dow says
Long live Ezra..Please wake up Canada. Europe is a mess. If these ISIS have gone to fight over seas they should not be allowed back in. If I can do anything please let me know. How can we stop this?
