Hamas has not actually kidnapped an Israeli soldier, but the false report that it had let to a new display of savagery among “Palestinian” Muslims. But this should come as no surprise from a people that has repeatedly and proudly avowed that it loves death and longs for genocide.
Fatah, remember, is the “moderate” group headed by Mahmoud Abbas, whom Barack Obama has praised quite recently for his commitment to “peace.”
“Fatah hands out candy to celebrate ‘kidnapping’ of Israeli soldier falsely claimed by Hamas,” by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik, Palestinian Media Watch, July 21, 2014:
The official Facebook page of Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party posted images from the Palestinian city of Tulkarem showing Fatah activists handing out candy to people in the street to celebrate the “kidnapping of the Israeli soldier” in Gaza. Yesterday, Hamas disseminated the false claim that it had kidnapped a soldier – a claim that has since been refuted by Israel.
Alongside the images, the site administrator wrote:
“Fatah’s Tulkarem branch hands out candy to residents in celebration of the kidnapping of the soldier by the Palestinian resistance on the blessed land of Gaza. Full freedom to all our brave prisoners.”

Greetings:
I’m still concerned about this kidnapping report. In the newscasts that I’ve seen, Israeli spokespeople seem reluctant to come flat out and say that all their soldiers are accounted for. The Israeli spokespeople seem to be sticking to the “We’re looking into it.” or some such. Makes me think that they might be trying to locate and liberate the soldier on the lowdown.

Two years in the Gulf and numerous observation on the Palestinian community have made me believe that Palestinians are not among the favourite “brethren” of the other Arabs in the Arab world. Most Palestinians are left to survive on their own and the oil- and gas-rich havens of the Gulf do not do anything to improve their lot.
There is a distinct low status attached to the word “Palestinian” and I wonder if that is the reason why the entire Arab world wants to see them win against Israel and ship themselves off and away from their lands.
As I said, there are no privileges for the Palestinians among the oil-rich Arabs just because the former are Arabs and Muslims, too. You will be surprised to see how very cold and unsympathetic to each other the Arab Muslims can be and how strictly they pursue their own self-interest even among those who they are supposed to care about due to their religion.
Their only idea of “help” is to stop a fellow Arab and ask him, politely, all sorts of questions about his plight before retreating in a more comfortable direction. To their minds, curiosity equals sympathy.
Arabs don’t receive anything from Arabs on a plate, so they are dying to come here where they know sympathy, humanity and public assistance exist.

Didn’t Fatah and Hamas kiss and make up lately? Is passing out candy all Fatah is doing to support Hamas?

It is always instructive to see what a people celebrate, especially with their children—in the case of pious Muslims, it is kidnapping, oppression, and mass-murder. *Ugh*.
