Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Iran: “We will never allow Netanyahu’s dreams about the disintegration of Iraq and the region to come true”

Jul 7, 2014 5:29 am By Robert Spencer

MalikiRouhaniThat anyone, even the Iranian regime, could believe that Netanyahu and the Israelis want to see Iraq engulfed in civil war, with Sunni jihadists trying to reestablish the caliphate, only shows the strength and persistence of anti-Semitic conspiracy paranoia. But as far as Islamic supremacists are concerned, if something is going wrong, it must be the Jews’ fault. It remains to be seen whether these are just empty words or if the Iranians will actually back the weak Shi’ite regime in Iraq with military force.

“Iran backs Maliki as Iraq PM but open to change,” AFP, July 6, 2014 (thanks to Reza):

Iran said Sunday it supports Nuri al-Maliki’s bid to stay on as Iraq’s premier but that it is ready to back any other candidate chosen by parliament in Baghdad.

Maliki’s “State of Law coalition won first place in the last legislative elections… (and) any decision that is taken in Iraq and has the support of parliament has Iran’s backing,” said Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

“If Mr Maliki is chosen as prime minister, we will work hard together. If another person is chosen by parliament, the Islamic Republic of Iran will also support them. It’s an internal affair for Iraq,” he said.

The Iraqi parliament is to convene on Tuesday to elect a speaker, president and prime minister.

Maliki, a Shiite, has been prime minister since 2006 and last week vowed to “never give up on” his quest for a third term, despite critics blaming him for steering the Shiite-majority country towards all-out sectarian war.

Shiite-dominated Iran has said it is willing to provide Iraq advice and military assistance in the fight with Sunni insurgents who overran large chunks of Iraqi territory last month and have now declared an Islamic caliphate.

However, Iran’s involvement in Iraq appears to be deepening, with the official IRNA news agency reporting on Saturday that an Iranian pilot had been killed while fighting to defend a Shiite shrine in the city of Samarra, north of Baghdad.

The report did not say whether the pilot was killed while flying sorties or fighting on the ground, but his death is thought to be Tehran’s first such military casualty since the fightback against the militants began.

The Islamic State (IS) offensive, which led Iraqi troops to abandon their posts, has emboldened Kurdish leaders to press for independence of their autonomous northern region.

Tehran opposes a break up of Iraq, denouncing it as an Israeli plot.

“We will never allow (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu’s dreams about the disintegration of Iraq and the region to come true,” Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday.

He added that Iran had warned Iraq’s Kurdish leaders against separatism, saying it was “in nobody’s interest”.

Amir-Abdollahian also criticised the United States for doing “nothing concrete to fight against terrorism”.

“At best, the behaviour of the United States over the past three weeks regarding Iraq has been suspect. We see no need to cooperate or have talks with the United States about Iraq,” he said.

Turning to Tehran’s regional rival Riyadh, he said the “role of Saudi Arabia in the events of the region, including Syria and Iraq, is not positive.”

Iranian Air Force pilot killed while defending Shiite Muslim holy sites in the city of Samarra, north of Baghdad

“His death comes after Iran’s declarations that it will provide its western neighbour with whatever it needs to counter the Sunni militants who are laying siege to the Shiite-led government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.”

    The Sunni/Shia bloodbath looks unavoidable…..hopefully.

Is the Iranian Regime being paranoid or is it just playing defensive politics trying to stich the rift with Sunnis using Israel as their scapegoat.

    A message to Iran
You Iranians are not Muslims, not truly.

You are a conquered people who hide your subservient status to Saudi Arabia’s Sunni Islam
with syrupy sentimentality toward a lineage of Arab masters. You are merely Islamic slaves who try to paint over Sunni Arab shackles to appear as if Persian bracelets. Why do you bother to stand and celebrate the Persian New Year when you still crawl in submission to Islam and bow toward Mecca?

(The enemy of my enemy is my friend routine)
Yes, the regime squabbles with the Saudis and other Sunnis.
But they still seek Sunni approval to validate their Muslim wannabe status.
The 1979 Revolution, the fatwas to ‘defend’ Islam and the stoning of adulterers was more about ingratiating themselves with their Sunni Islam neighbors than it was about confronting the “evil” West.
It has become all too embarrassingly obvious to Mecca and throughout all of Islam that Iran’s insecure dress-wearing turban-headed Ayatollahs are just pleading to say, ‘I did a good thing, huh’ to the rest of the Islamic world. Ayatollah Khamenei is just the latest in a long line of Islamic ideology administrators after the conquest of Persia. Lap-dog groveling for Islamic approval can no longer be camouflaged beneath layers of pompous violence for Allah, and willful passive-aggressive Holocaust denial.
The Iranian regime’s uncouth veil is wearing quite thin.
Although many Iranians truly hate Islam, they won’t admit it to themselves. Rather than accept this truth, they pretend that they are Muslim by choice.
Iran is an ideologically-dhimmi nation in denial and Iranians are caught firmly in the grip of Sunni imposed ‘Stockholm Syndrome’
    In other words.
The Iranian people are basically decent human beings who have been cruelly imprisoned by overlord Ayatollah puppets of Arab Islam to the point that they now identify and seek ideological approval from their foreign captors for spiritual guidance.
Shia Islam is a fatwa against truth. It is just a ritual submission to Sunni Islam with a face-saving (Islamo- Persian) illusion enabled by pretend Muslim Ayatollah delusions.
Iranians trapped inside denial are like spiders caught within their own web
… So sad … so very sad.
Allah is not God and every Iranian surely knows this.
Allah is just a word, a foreign word and the Koran is nothing but Arab lies conjured up from the reciting of satanic verse.

Iranians, you are not Muslims … admit it; say it with pride.

I wonder what would happen if Israel started broadcasting pro-Khamenei and pro-shia propaganda into Iran? Something like “Israel acknowledges shia islam is the one true islam and stands by Khamenei”.

So the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister thinks the United States is doing nothing concrete to fight against terrorism. Well, sir, why don’t you Iranians just show us how it should be done? Are you willing to sacrifice the blood of your own country’s soldiers and your own national treasure in the fight? This is your golden opportunity. Have at it. By the way….are your fighter pilots getting a lot of good training going up against that mock-up of the American aircraft carrier? That training must be very useful when attacking jihadists in the desert…or maybe not…especially for that pilot you just lost. Tisk, tisk.

    …………………………….

It’s hard to know how much the Iranians really believe this—but blaming Infidels, *especially* the hated Jooooos, is always preferable to blaming their fellow Muslims.

Moreover, Iran had been doing a great deal to “woo” the Sunnis and hoped to set themselves up as leaders of the Muslim world and chief enemies of the hated Israelis and Americans.

They were funding Hizb’allah and Hamas and encouraging Jihad against Israel—not that the local Sunnis needed any urging, of course.

But now Hizb’allah is spending more time fighting Sunnis in Syria than attacking Israel, and Sunni-majority Hamas appears to have cut ties with Shi’ite Iran.

And the Jihadists of the new “Caliphate” have been quite overt in their hatred of the Shia “rafidite dogs”, and have been destroying Shi’ite mosques and shrines along with Christian churches.

Best to ignore all that, thought, and blames the perfidious Jooooos—even if no one believes this crap, not even that meant for domestic consumption.
