Many times I’ve noted that while Sunni Muslims viciously persecute Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan, Indonesia, and now Kygyzstan, Ahmadi Muslim spokesmen in the West such as the clownishly arrogant Qasim Rashid and the ostentatiously self-righteous Haris Zafar eagerly carry water for their persecutors, whitewashing the very Islamic doctrines that get their brethren persecuted, and smearing and defaming those who speak out against the persecution of the Ahmadis. How did Ahmadi spokesmen in the West get coopted by the Muslim Brotherhood apparatus? I have no idea, but there is no doubt that future generations of Ahmadis, if they survive, will arise and curse the names of the likes of Rashid and Zafar.
“Bishkek: Supreme Court outlaws Ahmadis,” AsiaNews, July 25, 2014 (thanks to C. Cantoni):
Bishkek (AsiaNews) – Muslims who adhere to the Ahmadi doctrine in Kyrgyzstan do not have the right to register with the State, and cannot organise themselves as a religious community.
The Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan on 10 July rejected the appeal made by the community against the decision (made in 2011) denying them the right to obtain state registration. Now, if they were to meet in private to pray, they risk arrest and a fine from police.
This “means that Ahmadi Muslims cannot act like Ahmadi Muslims and organise meetings for worship or any other activity together,” Asel Bayastanova, the Ahmadis’ defence lawyer, told Forum 18 News Service.
Ahmadis “may in theory, under the Constitution, unofficially gather in private places for worship,” she noted. “But the authorities may well punish them if they find Ahmadis meeting together for religious activity.”
For an Ahmadi living in the capital Bishkek, who wants to remain anonymous, the ruling “is equal to banning us in Kyrgyzstan.”
“If we are found by the NSS secret police, the ordinary police, or any other state agency to be carrying out ‘illegal’ religious activity, we will be given harsh punishments – maybe even imprisonment.”
As such, “this is a severe violation of our basic human rights, and also a potential danger in future for our lives in Kyrgyzstan,” he added.
Kyrgyzstan has about 5.4 million people. The official religion is Sunni Islam (about 70 per cent of the population). According to local sources, the Ahmadi community has about 600 members and many supporters.
Founded in the late 19th century in India, the Ahmadi faith is considered heretical by much of the Muslim world, Sunni and Shiite.
It honours its founder, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, and shares beliefs with other religions. For this reason, professing it in Central Asian countries is banned and linked to Islamic terrorism.
For their part, Ahmadis vehemently deny these allegations and speak of religious persecution.

Question: Are Amaddis considered Shite? I have been following the information that not all Islam “sects” agree with the radicals in the meaning of the Quran “Jihad”. Some believe as a Christian belief: the Jihad is an inner path to greater awareness of God’s purpose and universal inspiration from within. As Christ Jesus taught: look within for the kingdom of God.
My husband and I have a Muslim friend for over 10 years. Husband deseased sadly in March, his Arlington inurnment ceremony Sept. 8 1PM. He was CIA, defending and protecting America online since 9/11, and he inspired me, as well. He had this Muslim checked out, and he passed–and became our go to computer guy, many times at our home, taking one or both of our computers to work on it and NO PROBLEMS with confidentiality. He doesn’t like the local Tucson mosque, and drives once a week to Phoenix to attend ceremonies and meetings there.
It is another reason why I personally have not generalized “all Muslims” in America as enemies of freedom in America. I think they have come over decades to LOVE the life of freedom as they did not have “over there”. When push comes to shove, do you think it possible that those who disagree with the radicals on “Jihad”–will NOT stand for any attempt to take down America?

Are Amaddis considered Shite?
No. In Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, and many other Muslim countries they are not considered Muslims at all, and are seveely persecuted.
Harris Zafar was on the Megyn Kelly program the other night. I don’t believe he has ever mentioned the treatment of Ahmadis by other Muslims during any interview, and I’m not aware of any interviewer asking him about that.
And a note for you: the “radicals” you refer to are, to the best of their ability, practicing Orthodox Islam, as it’s written: amputations and all.
Sorry for your loss. My dad passed in March as well.

Sorry they cannot be considered as Muslim ,yes has any human being they depict as muslims in dress code or external appearance but they are a outlawed sect which claims to be follower of RELIGION BUT IN FACT THEY ARE NOT as their basic belief goes against the rules laws tenets of ISLAM so please do not get mistaken also they are not from shite school of thoughts either . Good behaviour or nature or presentation is not the criteria to be a main streamline muslim .Anyone going against the verse cannot be a muslim do not get cheated by their pseudo teachings.

I have a copy of the Quran from the Amadiyya sect, published in the 70s, I think. Besides being a slightly off in the numbering, it seems the same as my other Qurans. Actually, it is more shocking because there are numerous footnotes about the useless women, the evil Jews, etc. So what if the Sunnis don’t accept the Ahmadis? THEY don’t accept non-Muslims.
