Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Netanyahu: “No international pressure will prevent us from acting with all power”

Jul 11, 2014 2:46 pm By Robert Spencer

netanyahuIt is good that he said this. For decades now, Islamic supremacists, jihadists, and their Leftist allies have brought tremendous pressure to bear upon Israel to get it to end defensive measures prematurely. For years now, this has worked quite well. But now, perhaps because Netanyahu knows that Obama is not in his corner and that Israel is on its own, he feels freer to act as he should to defend his nation.

“Israel leader: World pressure won’t stop offensive,” Associated Press, July 11, 2014:

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel’s prime minister vowed Friday to press forward with a broad military offensive in the Gaza Strip, saying international pressure will not halt what he said was a determined effort to halt rocket fire by Palestinian militants as the death toll from the 4-day-old conflict rose above 100.

Addressing a news conference, Benjamin Netanyahu brushed off a question about possible cease-fire efforts, signaling there was no end in sight to the operation.

“I will end it when our goals are realized. And the overriding goal is to restore the peace and quiet,” Netanyahu said.

Israel launched the offensive on Tuesday in response to weeks of heavy rocket fire out of Gaza. At least 103 Palestinians, including dozens of civilians, have been killed, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza. Palestinian militants have fired more than 600 rockets at Israel.

One rocket fired from the Gaza Strip struck a gas station and set it ablaze earlier Friday in southern Israel, seriously wounding one man, and the army said the condition of a soldier wounded by rocket shrapnel on Thursday had worsened. But there have been no deaths on the Israeli side, in large part because of a new rocket-defense system that has intercepted more than 100 incoming projectiles.

Netanyahu said he has been in touch with numerous world leaders, including President Barack Obama and the leaders of Britain, France, Germany and Canada.

He said he had “good discussions” with his counterparts, telling them that no other country would tolerate repeated fire on its citizens.

“No international pressure will prevent us from acting with all power,” he said.

Israel’s allies have backed the country’s right to self-defense, but they have called for restraint. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has expressed concern about the heavy civilian casualties in Gaza, and on Friday, the U.N.’s top human rights official said the air campaign may violate international laws prohibiting the targeting of civilians.

“We have received deeply disturbing reports that many of the civilian casualties, including of children, occurred as a result of strikes on homes,” said Navi Pillay, the U.N. high commissioner for human rights.

“Such reports raise serious doubt about whether the Israeli strikes have been in accordance with international humanitarian law and international human rights law,” she said.

Netanyahu brushed aside such criticism, saying Israel’s aerial campaign is aimed at military targets.

He blamed Hamas for causing civilian casualties by hiding in residential areas and criticized the group for targeting Israeli population centers….

…as Hamas itself acknowledges.

Israel should do exactly what Sri Lanka did to terrorist Tamil Tigers. Bombed them non-stop for 10 days till there was total silence. Today there is peace in Sri Lanka. No more killings. Israel should forget international condemnation, Human Rights, Amnesty, UN calling Israel war criminals – all these groups are on Islamic pay role. Netanyahu should bury Hamas till there is total silence.

Israel has the power and the moral right to defend itself. Any civilians near the rocket fire or acting as human shields are in essence part of launching the attacks. They need to lose the civilian title and get one of those fancy euphemisms like “terrorist”, “insurgent”, “enemy combatant”, or ” moderate Muslim that misinterpreted Mother Teresa wrong and likes to slaughter people”. Good for Israel this American non-Jew admires and supports you!

Also since Hamas is continuing to act as terrorists while being apart of the PLO isn’t the US required to cut all aid to the government of Palestine?

    • Wellington says

      Jul 11, 2014 at 6:41 pm

A key question, sy. In fact, none could be more on point. Sadly, though, way too many in the Western world would not understand what you are trying to convey by your query. They don’t see attacks on Israel’s very existence as part of a much larger problem, which folks like you most definitely see.

They should but, in full ignorance mode, they don’t. And there are still way too many “theys” out there, enjoying the many benefits Western Civilization has bestowed their way but with no understanding of the historical dynamics (and sacrifices) that has led to this. This would include highly educated Westerners who daily prove that no amount of education is a guarantee against stupidity.

Again can be been that the real problem is not Islam. It is the secondary problem, a very large secondary problem to be sure but a secondary problem nonetheless. The primary problem is continued ignorance and defense of Islam by far too many non-Muslims in the West, including those with power like Obama and Cameron (I’m assuming here that Cameron is just your “ordinary” useful dhimmi idiot; with Obama, I’m no longer sure this stunningly ignorant man is a dhimmi—-if you get my meaning).

Fluid times, no doubt. The fate of Western Civilization is once again in peril——this time far more from within than from without. Thanks in great heaps for this must go to the Obamas and Camerons of the West, who are proving to be abysmal keepers of what the West has wrought.

Having determined he no longer has any thing to lose, he acts lie it. Thus, his EU critics , and the current US administration, may have pushed Israel into the exact opposite direction they had planned. But, life is full of unplanned consequences, and perhaps this is one of them

  20. Jan Fourowls says

    Jul 11, 2014 at 11:22 pm

Bibi, God bless him and the Jewish people, knows the truth after the Holocaust (Fascism) and the Muslim terrorism (Islamofascism) circling Israel after WWII.

The current POTUS, any POTUS, obviously must know it too, given the level of intelligence briefing that comes with the job.

It doesn’t take being the way a POTUS should be to know Islam’s threat to Israel, the West and modern civilization, which can be summarized in several paragraphs about the Quran (not to mention news of aggression around the modern world carried out by Quran-reading Muslims from the past 50 years).

What follows would be a generally accepted truth as summary of what is a detailed and complicated story from the 7th century to the 21st, and also my opinion:

    • It is common for Muslims to believe that the Arabic Quran originated serially and in oral form over as many as 23 years (until approximately 632 A.D.) with its sole human source Muhammad who claimed the contents were given to him as a prophet.
    • The Qran, whatever its actual origin, seemingly borrows as if for credibility from key players in Jewish and Christian scripture such as the angel Gabriel, who appeared according to the Bible to the Jewish prophet Daniel (about end times) and who appeared much later to the Jewish virgin Mary (to announce that she had found God’s favor to become the mother of baby Jesus).
    • It is common for Muslims to believe that as an evolving text for followers during Muhammad’s lifetime, the Quran in oral Arabic form contained verses that Muhammad later repudiated as “satanic” verses revealed not by who Muhammad called Gabriel but by Satan. These verses were later expunged from the passages of the Quran that many had memorized. These verses were also featured in Salman Rushdie’s 1988 novel, The Satanic Verses, the publication of which caused death fatwā issued against Rushdie by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the Supreme Leader of Iran, on February 14, 1989, with fatwā renewed in 2014. See, e.g.: http://www.vanityfair.com/online/daily/2014/04/salman-rushdie-fatwa-satanic-verses; http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2560683/Iranian-mullah-revives-death-fatwa-against-Salman-Rushdie-Satanic-Verses-25-years-issued.html
    • It is common for Muslims to believe that the spoken Quran may have been written down for the first time after Muhammad’s death by Caliph Abu Bakr (who died 2 years after Muhammad in 634 A.D. and is the namesake for Abu Bakr al-Baghdad also known as the Caliph Ibrihim who recently and after horrific violence including crucifying people — as recommended by the Quran — announced himself ruler of the “Islamic State,” IS, in the 2014 caliphate where Syria and Iraq have been on the map).
    • The Arabic version of Quran is seemingly preferred as “sacred” by Muslim scholars as well as by those Muslim terrorists whose first language is Arabic and who perform atrocities against non-Muslims, especially Jews and Christians, directed by the Quran in the name of their “religion.”
    • For Muslim scholars in the West to contend that “jihad” means merely personal “struggle” instead of collective Muslims struggling to overcome non-Muslims in the conquest of war (by propaganda when not all-out violence) against non-Muslims seems, well, let me be polite: specious at best. [Any self-respecting Muslim jihadist who reads his Quran won’t waste his breath with such nonsense; he’s too busy plotting to kill Jews and Christians (plus other non-Muslims) as the Quran directs.]
    • It would of course be possible for 21st century Muslims interested in an improved public relations picture to sanitize English translations of the Quran after 9/11 for readers unfamiliar with Arabic, which is most people in the West.
    • The English version of the Quran (e.g., the Sunni and Shii council-approved 1980 translation from Lebanon, which is the version I read) directs Muslims along a spectrum of Quran-approved conduct to perform violent atrocities as well as a punitive and conquering form of slavery of non-Muslims directed toward their abject submission.
    • In the Quran, Jews and Christians are particular targets of Muslim deceit and violence in the name of conquering the world for the present-day followers of Muhammad.
    • The Quran, having a special section for its readers called “Women,” directs itself to Muhammad’s present-day followers who are Muslim males by stating the inferiority of females who as children and adults can be taken as wives, beaten as wives, and seemingly relegated to breeding stock at Muslim male initiative wherever Muslims rule a nation.
    • The Quran also posits the entity Muhammad called “Allah” as the chief schemer and grand deceiver in whose image Muslims are called to scheme against and deceive non-Muslims whenever all-out violent conquest is not a strategic or political option, as true for Muslims as least for now in the U.S.

Some of the Arabic words congruent with the Quran that you may hear or read to describe the deceit and enslavement Islam directs its Muslim adherents to practice against Christians and Jews include:
    (i) taqiyyah or taqiyya (derived from the Arabic triliteral root waw-qaf-ya, with etymological origins obtaining in fear, as in ultimately instilling the fear and shock of “why did they” and “how could they” in non-Muslims after carefully calculated Muslim trickery, deceit and confusion),
(ii) makara (deceive, scheme, plan or plot),
(iii) kitman (telling either a partial truth or a whopper along a sliding scale as indicated by circumstances, i.e., layers and levels of interlocking or unfolding lies told to non-Muslims including press and public relations to further the goal of global Muslim conquest),
(iv) tawriya (concealment and material omissions as misdirection to non-Muslims),
    (v) jezya (a typically poverty-inducing tax, oh isn’t Allah so merciful, against Jews and Christians in Muslim-run territories after Muslim conquest, derived etymologically from the Pahlavi gazītak, which denoted a tax levied on the lower classes of society in Sasanian Persia), and
(vi) dhimmi (a recognized but very subordinated legal status of Jew or Christian in a Muslim-run society, literally translated “protection” so it’s my opinion to think of the way the Mafia provides “protection” to those against whom it extracts “protection” money).

My religious opinion as a Christian woman and U.S. citizen granted freedom of speech and freedom of (and from) religion by the U.S. Constitution: The Quran is simply too evil to have been invented by any man acting alone, and I thus posit that the Quran as a whole = Satanic verses.

Another opinion: Mein Kampf (Fascism’s handbook written by Hitler) and the Quran (Islamofascism’s pseudo-religious handbook written by whatever bloodthirsty 7th century desert savage) belong topically next to each other on a library shelf as hate-crimes military directives against Jews (and in the Quran’s case, also Christians).

Here’s what my religion’s authentically holy book, the Bible, says in pertinent part as if foretelling that wicked Islam would be falsely painted as a religion of peace:
“There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.”(Isaiah 48:22, KJV, no copyright).

Bibi is righteous in refusing to sell out the Jewish people of Israel to a taqiyyah feigned peace of wicked Muslim terrorists and their sympathizers including, sad to say, the POTUS.

    http://www.frontpagemag.com/2014/ronn-torossian/netanyahu-takes-heat/

“….today there is an immense crisis, and certain circles believe the Netanyahu government will face elections well before they are currently scheduled. If he will fall, it’s solely due to the fact that he is not right-wing enough – and not acting conservatively enough for the people of Israel.”

“This week, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman resigned from Netanyahu’s Likud Party, and took with him 11 Knesset members from the Likud. Lieberman’s Yisrael Beitunu party left Likud – saying that he expects much stronger action against the Palestinian Arabs threatening Israel, and expects a death-blow dealt to Hamas and other terrorists in Gaza. This move leaves Netanyahu’s ruling party with only 20 seats. “
