Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Saudi court sentences homosexual to jail, lashes

Jul 23, 2014 9:13 am By Robert Spencer

Qaradawigays-thumb-500xauto-2098They didn’t sentence him to die, as per the traditional Sharia penalty. They must be moderates. In any case, woe to you — from the gay community — if you dare to point out Sharia persecution of gays. When Pamela Geller and I ran ads highlighting the mistreatment of gays in Islamic law, the San Francisco City Council issued a resolution condemning not that mistreatment, but our ads. Gay advocates such as Theresa Sparks and Chris Stedman attacked us for daring to call attention to the institutionalized mistreatment of gays under Islamic law. Their gay advocacy doesn’t extend to standing up to Sharia oppression of gays, even though that oppression is far more virulent and violent than anything from “right-wing extremists” in the U.S. And you can’t blame them: given the Leftist/jihadist alliance, it’s clear that if they spoke out against Sharia mistreatment of gays, they would no longer be invited to the best parties, and might even be branded as “right-wing.” Their moral cowardice and duplicity, however, are obvious.

“Saudi court sentences homosexual to jail, lashes,” Al Arabiya News, July 22, 2014 (thanks to Lookmann):

The Criminal Court in the Saudi city of Medina has sentenced a 24-year-old man to three years in jail and 450 lashes for setting up a Twitter account to promote and practice homosexuality, Al-Watan reported Tuesday.

The man was tracked down by religious police, officially known as the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, which set him up by having another man arrange a date with him.

He was arrested as he showed up for the meeting, and his confiscated phone reportedly contained evidence of his homosexuality. The 24-year-old confessed to the judge.

Should that not be: ‘The Committee for the Promotion of Vice and the Prevention of Virtue’? – you know, being an Islamic organisation n’all.

Gay advocates such as Theresa Sparks and Chris Stedman attacked us for daring to call attention to the institutionalized mistreatment of gays under Islamic law.
I always suspect Stockholm Syndrome in those individuals.

As a gay person you don’t even need to read about Islam or the treatment of homosexuals in Islamic nations. Just go to a gay club or pub in the West with a nearby Muslim population. You’ll find that many of the “cliches” hold water.
I’ve lost count on how often a male muslim has threatened me IN a gay club…

In London or some areas thereof gay clubs have resorted to tougher security because of an increase in Muslim assaults. Amsterdam has a record high on anti-gay hate crimes, many of which perpetuated by muslims and there’s no other city in the Netherlands where gay people now feel so threatened by homophobia.

Unfortunately there are so many politically correct airheads among gay rights activists but then again it’s not only the gay rights movement it’s also the women who pretend to stand up for equal rights and many left leaning Jews who prefer political correctness over reality.

good job to running those ads!

Maybe what’s needed is for that ad to be turned into a sticker that can be stuck on the inside of loo doors, next to the assorted health advice signs and condom ads.

What’s also needed are well-produced, brief and clear leaflets aimed specifically at warning gay people about Islamic gay-hatred; giving a selection of the texts that drive that hatred, plus a few examples of how it pans out in practice, right across the Muslim-dominated lands and also in non-Muslim lands (e.g. the Muslim who tried to burn down a gay nightclub in the USA).

As you say, many gays in the West have had nasty experiences with Muslims and have kind of gotten the idea that Muslims don’t like – even murderously *hate* – gays. But a leaflet of the kind I’ve described would help them see exactly where all those ‘incidents’, those threats and so on, are coming from; that it isn’t random, and it’s not about a ‘tiny minority of extremists’, that it’s coming straight out of Islam, Islam, Islam as such.

I have to ask (since I don’t recall seeing you posting here before): how did *you* figure it out? And when and how did you find your way to Jihadwatch? (I often ask this question of new posters, because the answers are always interesting).

Are you in the USA, the UK, continental Europe, or somewhere else? And if you yourself have experienced threats or an attack by Mohammedans, would you feel able to tell us about it, here?

I am not sure how I figured out that a disproportionate number of Muslims are not the peacefull lot we keep hearing about.
In my teenage years I was very politically correct and thought that the “tiny minority myth” was true.
Maybe the first thing I noticed was that an incredibly politically correct teacher at my school who always made up the silliest excuses for anything a “foreigner” did also had a pathological hatred towards anglo-saxon countries. For example he actually somewhat started excusing the London Bombings because of UK foreign policy.

Having heard that I decided to be a bit more critical about the politically correct narative.
So when I started to go to gay clubs (which was a bit later) I noticed that most of the homophobic incidences came from people who looked as if they could be Muslim. That’s when I started to realise that the number of troublemakers among Muslims is likely to be higher than in other groups.

When I went to university and lived in a city my impression of Muslims just got worse and worse and I started to look on the internet for crime stats etc.
I don’t remember when I first came across jihad watch but I had visited jihad watch before posting here.

I had some culturally enriching exoeriences with Muslims.
Once I was in my local supermarket and had to tie my shoe lace again and I was squating in front of the kosher aisle while doing so. Three persons in niqab came by and at least one said “heil hitler”. Unfortunately there were several groups of niqab clad people so i had no chance to know who had insulted me. The e-mail I send to the supermarket’s customer care dept. went unanswered despite the fact that it was a normal e-mail describing the event cobined with the question whether the supermarket could implement a policy that all customers need to show their faces whilst being inside the store.

Muslims in gay clubs offered sex to “cure” me (more than once), Muslim men being aggressive when rejected, Muslim men being aggressive to security when thrown out of the club because they were aggressive towards other patrons.

Overhearing muslims talking about their (kuffar) girl friends in public including descriptions of sex and telling each other with whom (of the kuffar girls) they really need to have sex.

I also witnessed how a Chinese looking woman complained to a life guard that a man had groped her in the swimming pool. When the life guard asked her to show him the individual the woman pointed out a man of Middle Easter descent. (I jsut wish the Muslim good luck with spinning that into “racism”)

So there was no really big incidence only the small incidences piling up.

I’ve livedboth on the European continent and the UK and have contacts on both sides of the Englsih channel.

With regards to the educational leaflets: I don’t know whether this going to be of any help at all. It may just be that those leaflets will just serve as an inspiration for the “progressive” part of the gay community to declare solidarity with Muslims. gay progressives are like all progressives: they jsut deny the reality they don’t like.

Chris Steadman deserves absolutely NO credibility for anything what so ever. Do you all know that he is an atheist chaplain at Harvard. What exactly is that. How can a person be an atheist and a chaplain? It is extreme liberal ultra left wing bull shit. People like Steadman and Sparks make me ashamed to be a gay man. Really and truly. What the hell is wrong with those assholes. Sorry for the vulgarities but I just get so worked up with the nonsense. Thanks for all you great work Mr. Spencer.

      An atheist ** chaplain** !!??

      How insane is that ?

Mind you, there *have* been some atheist commenters here, who elevate atheism into a lunatic sort of religiious anti- religion. The world is full of fools.

It is mind boggling the homosexual/gay community supports Islamic/Muslim philosophy! Don’t they realize the tenets of their cult dictate death to them?

Yesterday I watched this video of a discussion between gays and Muslims about whether a person can be gay and Muslim. It was a very interesting conversation.

According to one Muslim, Islam has no label for being straight or gay and does not penalize feelings or urges as sin, only actions. Furthermore he claimed that what a person does behind closed doors is of no concern to the Muslim community, but between the sinner and God. But you should not come out of the closet.

Another Muslim – a lovely young woman in hijab who reminded me of Hermione in “Harry Potter” – told the gay Muslim present that he was wrong to *choose* to be Muslim. (The young gay man was, obviously, not in the closet. In fact, he was a singer and drag queen in a gay nightclub.) Maybe he couldn’t choose to not be gay, but he could choose not to be Muslim. Because in the Koran it forbids homosexuality.

But doesn’t the Koran also tell Muslims to kill anyone who leaves Islam? That issue wasn’t brought up by anyone.

This is a very interesting back-and-forth between Muslims and gays, but it doesn’t ask or answers all questions:

Well, us rightwing gays on the other side of the pond may not be able to get guns without dealing with incredible bureaucracy, but I have my grandfather’s WWI bayonet in case things get ‘interesting’ over here! Good to hear someone who thinks as I do about this. The gay rights mvt in Britain followed a trajectory different from that in the States; there is less identity politics here, and that has been a luxury for us; but with chunks of England now resembling Dearborn Michigan, gay people are going to have to change. Give up on the UN: religious sensitivity trumped sexual minority rights some time ago – and Obama has this unaccountable interest in Iran ….
