Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Thailand: Islamic jihadists murder three with car bomb on busy street

Jul 26, 2014 9:29 pm By Robert Spencer

ThailandblastJihad in Thailand. Jihad in the Philippines. Jihad in Burma. Jihad in Bangladesh. Jihad in India. Jihad in Pakistan. Jihad in Afghanistan. Jihad in Iraq. Jihad in Syria. Jihad in Lebanon. Jihad in Israel. Jihad in Egypt. Jihad in Nigeria. Jihad elsewhere. And yet the mainstream analysis is that all this jihad, all these terror groups explaining and justifying their actions by referring to Islamic texts and teachings, have nothing to do with Islam and jihad.

How did this misunderstanding of Islam become so widespread?

“Car bomb blast kills three in Thailand,” SkyNews.com.au, July 26, 2014

A car bomb has exploded outside a hotel in southern Thailand, killing three people and wounding more than 30 others.

The blast ripped through a busy shopping street on Friday in the border town of Betong in Yala province, which is popular with tourists from neighbouring Malaysia.

Firefighters were seen battling to extinguish a blaze sparked by the bomb as a plume of black smoke rose.

Lieutenant Colonel Sophon Saisuree told AFP the blast happened about 4pm local time.

Of the wounded, three were in critical condition while 30 others had minor injuries, he said in an updated toll.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility but suspicion was likely to fall on Muslim insurgents waging a decade-long campaign against the Thai state.

More than 6100 people have been killed in near-daily bombings and shootings in the Muslim-majority region near Thailand’s southern border with Malaysia since 2004.

Buddhists and Muslims alike fall victim to the shadowy insurgents, who target security forces, civilians and perceived representatives of state authority.

Earlier this month three Muslim policemen were shot dead in an ambush by suspected militants as they returned from evening prayers….

They were considered collaborators with the Thai state, and thus essentially apostates.

I saw a clip of Ibrahim ‘Dougie’ Hooper of CAIR *claim*that his group always denounces acts of voilence carried out by Muslims- but I can’t seem to find any footage of him issuing any condemnations, except towards those speaking out about Muslim violence

The Islamists hate anyone who isn’t Muslim. We in the States tend to hear how Muslims hate Jews and Christians more often that how they despise other faiths. However, we need to be reminded just how much those other faiths- Sikhs, Ba’hai, Hindus, animists, Jainists and yes, Buddhists are under siege by Islam.

Buddhist Monks beheaded and Buddhist Nuns raped in Myanmar… Buddhists along with Hindu minorities killed in Bangladesh and Pakistan… Buddhists beaten in the streets by India’s Muslim monstrous minority… even in Japan; recently a historic Buddhist shrine was destroyed by a Saudi Muslim recently.

Compare the life and teachings of The Buddha… with that of the rapist, pedophile, mass murderer, war mongering MoHAMmed.

Yet, the Western Media when it does acknowledge the violence against the Buddhists… it tends to “blame” Buddhists for violence from Muslims. As if the Buddhists somehow “deserve it.” The Muslims are portrayed as victims in the Buddhist-Islam conflict.

There is ‘Jihad’ in Thailand, because corrupt officials and military officers (which is even worse in the third world Philippines) benefit from embezzling funds and profiteering off the criminal rackets and gangs that operate in the insurgent area.

Buddhist Triad Gangs like 14k Triad from Hong Kong fund and arm Islamist groups like Gama’a islamiyah and Abu Sayyaf. 14k Triad operates in Thailand and probably has conncections to the Insurgents in Pattani too. They were caught selling weapons to Gama’a and Abu Sayyaf.

14K Triad originated from the Kuomintang (Chinese Nationalists opposed to the Communist party) since the Kuomintang was ridden with various triads and gangs like Green Gang. It goes all the way to the party leadership. President Chiang Ching-kuo hired a hit man from Taiwan, Chen Chi-li from the Bamboo Gang to assasinate and murder the dissident Henry Liu in America.

On previous articles I caught certain habitual liars telling lies to our faces and claiming that Pattani was annexed because it attacked Thailand in a war.

Malays were majority Hindu-Buddhist before the 15th century. A few areas were Muslim like Kedah, but not the rest of Malaya.

The Thai Ayutthaya Empire conquered the Malay peninsula (Tanah Melayu) before that time, forcing Hindu Malay chiefs and states into vassalage.

A Hindu Malay vassal leader named Parameswara then converted to Islam, changed his name to Iskandar Shah, and asked Ming China to free Malaya from Thai rule sometime in the early 1400s.

China then ordered Thailand to give up sovereignty over the Malayan peninsula and surrender control to Iskandar Shah, who founded the Malacca Sultanate as a protectorate of China. Under the Malacca Sultanate, most Malays then converted to Islam.

After the invasion of the Sultanate by the Portuguese, Thailand then again attacked and forced the Malay Sultanates into vassalage and submission. The Sultanates of Singgora, Pattani, Kedah, and Kelantan were all vassals of Thailand due to Thai military power and intimination.

Thailand annexed the Singgora Sultanate, but when the British forced Thailand to hand over their vassals of Kedah and Kelantan to British Malaya in 1909, Thailand decided to directly annex Pattani as a province to prevent the British from seizing it too.

So, Mazo, China orders the Ayutthayan state to give up control over the Malay Peninsula–and so many people are telling us that our dear, dear, ancestral motherland was never “imperialistic”? What would be said if Obama told some modern country something similar (unless, of course, when he’s picking on Uganda for keeping sodomy a criminal offense)? 马不知其脸长!

But, to be serious, thanks for the brief history lesson. Too many in the West know to little that the peoples of Asia and Africa were far from the “historyless” mass that Karl Marx assured us they were.

And, isn’t it something that proud, ancient, nationalistic China still insists on being the spiritual colony of 19th century Germany, caught between radical socialism and jackboot nationalism?

I will continue to note that probably the bulk of Thai Muslims remain loyal subjects of the Chakkri Dynasty and citizens of the Thai state. Even where I live, the halal Thai place has a portrait of H.M Ram IX in a prominent place.

@Mac-101: Much as I love Asia, I regretfully note that a lot of its people–like anyone else everywhere else–remain a bit tribal (ethnocentric, to be more polite) in their mindsets. Worse, the “modern” politics they imported (of a late 19th and early 20th century variety) tends to reinforce that tribalism. Much as the rest of the world enjoys flagellating the USA over its “racism” (and the USA engages in excessively itself), I think the rest of the world could actually stand to engage in some of the self-reflection on ethnocentrism that the USA engaged in over the past fifty years. Especially, it would be very good if the Muslim countries would engage in some reflection on their own record of bigotry against non-Muslims.

          Jul 27, 2014 at 6:32 pm

The USA actively encourages this trend in other countries. Like Turkey, where Kurds had no right to speak their own language and identify with their ethnicity until recently. America CIA worked with Turkish Fascist- Bozkurts to assasinate leftists. I don’t think America is very interested in discouraging ethnocentrism and racism when it actively uses them to further their interests.

Kepha, the only reason a person would think that for some reason only China is ultra-nationalist, is because they don’t read Tibetan and Uyghur, and therefore cannot know how pigheaded, nationalist, and bigoted someone can be while ostensibly fighting an evil regime for their freedom. I have corresponded with (western) people who read them.

The Uyghur history used by separatists is mostly concocted by Soviet ethnologists for propaganda against China, their very name was stolen by the Soviets from a medieval ethnic group and given to them in 1921. Uyghurs only started migrating to northern Xinjiang (Dzungaria) after the Qing wiped out the native Dzungars.

Did you look at the crap Turghun Almas and the World Uyghur Congress put at as “history”? No western historian agrees with even 10% of what they say. And Uyghurs think that the Stalin puppet – Soviet card carry Communist party member Ehmetjan Qasim is some kind of martyr, just because he was discarded when his usefulness to his master expired.

Tibetan separatists from U-Tsang (Tibet proper) believe that the entire Kham and Qinghai (Amdo) should belong to Tibet. They constantly lie to westerners that Amdo and Kham were under Tibet’s control until the evil Communists divided them into Qinghai and Sichuan provinces- they don’t mention that “Amdo” hasn’t been under Lhasa’s rule since the fall of the Tibetan Empire 1,000 years ago, and Qinghai province was created in 1928 and ruled by Ma Bufang, not the Dalai Lama. The Tibetans in Amdo didn’t show any inclination to join U-tsang. Eastern Kham was under control of Sichuan warlord Liu Wenhui, not the Dalai Lama.

One westerner who studied Tibetan admitted that he constantly encountered ultranationalist BS, and he is not pro-China or pro-anything.

The Communist Party also has secret society connections, alot of them were Gelaohui members. KMT is mostly linkt to Tiandihui and Green Gang.

Sodomy was illegal in most Communist states, Stalin banned it and Mao banned it and classified it as mental illness.

Western media constantly runs articles to try to promote gays in China.

There is ‘Jihad’ in Thailand, because of followers of a corrupt pretend messenger of Allah.

A propos the way in which our press fails to connect the dots between all the little jihads here, there and everywhere (and many Muslims in many places are trying to make sure that at all costs those connections are not made by anyone, ever).

Not surprisingly, Muslim violence always escalates during Ramadan. You never see people of other religions carrying out massacres as such during their high holy days. Islam needs to be obliterated from this planet now.

abad: Jumaa sermons on Ramadan – an especially deadly combination.

  11. commonsense says

    Jul 27, 2014 at 1:53 pm

It is no coincidence that many Muslims go on the rampage on Fridays, after Jumaa prayers, as Friday prayers include the weekly sermon from the local imam. Evidently, these sermons all too frequently – if not always – exhort Believers to strive in the way of Allah – i.e. to attack the kafirs for actual or imagined affronts to Islam and Muslims. The congregants are all too willing to submit to Allah’s will, and, all fired up and worked into a frenzy of hatred and bloodlust – the result of the fiery sermon just delivered – proceed to kill and injure local non-Muslims and destroy their property. This happens over and over again, all over the world, and has been occurring for centuries. Ataturk knew perfectly well about the Friday sermons, and, to keep his government secure, made it mandatory that the sermons would have to be vetted by the Turkish government, or even written by same, before they could be delivered to the mosque attendees.

    • Mazo says

      Jul 27, 2014 at 7:49 pm

Arab countries like UAE vet Friday sermons in Mosques, it has nothing to do with secularism but everything to do with the government needing to be in control of a potential anti-government platform.
