“If God allows, it will be again Muslims who will bring the end of those Jews, it is near, near. They are hostile to Allah and all prophets including their own prophet Moses.” In rapidly re-Islamizing and increasingly anti-Semitic Turkey, Yildiz Tilbe could set those words to music and have a number one hit.
“Turkish singer writes anti-Semitic tweets over Gaza,” AFP, July 12, 2014 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
ANKARA — A popular Turkish female pop singer was under pressure Friday to make a public apology after she posted a succession of anti-Semitic tweets over Israel’s deadly air campaign in Gaza.
Yildiz Tilbe, who has been making folk-influenced hit albums since the 1990s, appeared to praise Hitler in the tweets and say the end of the Jews was near.
“If God allows, it will be again Muslims who will bring the end of those Jews, it is near, near,” she tweeted on her official account @YildizzTilbee.
“They (Jews) are hostile to Allah and all prophets including their own prophet Moses.”
In another tweet she appeared to praise Hitler for the mass extermination of Jews in the Holocaust, writing “May God bless Hitler.”
The Jewish Community of Turkey condemned the singer’s tweets as “racist and inciting hatred,” calling on judicial authorities to “immediately start necessary legal procedures” under the country’s penal code.
Over 120 Palestinians have now been killed in Israel’s air campaign against Gaza, causing grave international concern.
The comments also went viral on social media where a petition campaign was launched to convince the singer to offer an apology.
Tilbe wrote after the criticism that she was not racist.
“There is oppression against Muslims everywhere in the world. Is there any single American or Jew being massacred, whose country is bombed or whose people are killed?”
Turkey is one of few majority Muslim states to have full diplomatic relations with Israel but ties have deteriorated seriously under the rule of the Islamic-rooted Justice and Development Party (AKP).
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has dominated politics in Turkey for over a decade, is known for his angry outbursts at the Jewish state.
The mayor of Ankara, Melik Gokcek, a senior member of the AKP, backed the singer’s Gaza tweets, re-tweeting most of her comments except the one on Hitler, calling them “full of intelligence.”
“I applaud you Yildiz Tilbe for the messages you deliver to many of your colleagues and especially to the Turkish nation,” he wrote.
Tilbe released her debut album in 1994 and has enjoyed growing fame since then. She writes most of her songs and also composes for other singers including Turkey’s internationally-renowned pop star Tarkan.

I seem to remember there were over 3000 Americans massacred a few years back. The biggest whingers in history these Muslims; always being oppressed, i.e, thwarted in their desire to dominate.

Turkish folk singer Yildiz Tilbe looks nice and friendly and secular, and she plays music. Had she not been on record showing her Islamic support for Hitler, she would be exactly the type of Muslim which the Counter-Jihad Softies presume to give the benefit of the doubt. As I have argued repeatedly before, given what we know (or should know, by now) about Muslims and Islam, we should err precisely on the side of presuming the worst about any given Muslim, rather than presume a benefit of the doubt.
Yildiz Tilbe is just one more example of literally thousands one could cite from the mountain of data we have on Muslims over the years — a mountain larger even than Jihad Watch is able to record and report: a mountain that, like a volcano growing by ever fresh spurts and lurches of the evil lava of horrific Islamic data, grows and mounts higher every damned week.

@voegelinian
I agree with your observation that although she looks secular looks can deceive but — all this crazy talk about Counter-Jihad Softies is leading me to believe that you are allowing Islam to rattle your cage and are playing mainly defense.
You will never score any real damage at all against this ideology with that approach.
Islam is very vulnerable once the ideology and its false prophet are put on truth display. It is an indefensible political system.
While defenders of Islam wish to rattle our cage
as they instigate, provoke fear, and enrage,
Look out into the darkness and what do you see
a pitch black night or a star lit night about to be.
It is not just about playing defense
Islam is porous and soon all will see.
Jay Boo says
It is not about Counter-Jihad Softies or even about individual Muslims.
Its about an ideology that exploits human weaknesses.
voegelinian says
My concern with the Counter-Jihad Softies is just a concern that we oppose Islam optimally, rather than less than optimally. The Western tendency to accord innumerable Muslims the benefit of the doubt — both on the basis of an abstract principle of fairness which we accord all groups of people and on the basis of superficial criteria that are supposed to be able to provide us with workable knowledge by which we can distinguish the harmless Muslims (assuming they exist) from the dangerous Muslims — I think is recklessly misguided, because of the nature of Islam and the data we have amassed (and continue to amass) about Muslims. For the West to base its policy vis-a-vis the threat of Islam on this basis is getting us killed and has been getting us killed, and portends more horrific: indeed, it has been the dominant and mainstream template governing our policy vis-a-vis the threat of Islam for decades, from Clinton through Bush through Obama. That Counter-Jihad folks would actively advocate, or passively reinforce, notions that have a powerful tendency to lead to such policy, is dismaying, and all of us in the Counter-Jihad who have a clear-headed appreciation for the threat of Islam owe it to ourselves, to the society we want to protect, and to all the victims of Islamic violence and oppression to work against such a disastrous policy.

Philip, I’m unclear on where you disagree with Voegelinian here. It does not appear that “mind reading” was necessary here at all—Yildiz Tilbe has been quite explicit here about her hatred of Jews, and advocacy of violence against them.
I know that the two of you have had your disagreements, and that it has gotten quite toxic.
But I believe it would be more professional to address the *content* of another posters’ comments, rather than calling him a Jackass.
I have always considered it unfortunate when Anti-Jihadists spend more time criticizing each other than anything else.
Personally, I miss your astute comments about *Jihad*—which we have seen too few of lately.

PJ probably disagrees for the same reason i disagree – voeg claims that “she would be exactly the type of Muslim which the Counter-Jihad Softies presume to give the benefit of the doubt“. How does he know what all “softies” think or to who would they give the benefit of the doubt?
Keep in mind that he calls “softie” to anyone who disagrees with this “total deportation” theory, even if they share his views on islam and, like him, don’t trust any given muslim. That makes his claim even more asinine – how would someone who doesn’t trust any given muslim give the benefit of the doubt to a muslima?

“Keep in mind that he [i.e., me] calls “softie” to anyone who disagrees with this “total deportation” theory…”
I have often linked that term I use to my essay on this which shows that I define it more broadly than that — with a prominent theme being the implied belief in a viable demographic of harmless Muslims (to be distinguished from a demographic of harmless Muslims we may presume exists, but which, because we do not have adequately reliable ways to discern their difference from the dangerous Muslims among them, must be seen as useless — i.e., not viable):

Talk about flogging a dead horse. It’s a question of restrictions and controls; of pacifying through an application of the law and the introduction of some new ones (Mr Spencer has argued for this in the form of a charter of liberal values which Muslim immigrants would be forced to sign up to, with the price of any breach being deportation). It is a question of anything but your proposed measure which merely places you on the same level as the worst religio-fascist. Seriously, I’m beginning to think you tout this nonsense on purpose just to get a reaction; no one could be that ignorant.

And? In the end, you’re still calling “softie” to anyone who agrees with everything you say about islam and muslims but disagrees with your “total deportation” theory, even if you also call “softie” to people who don’t consider islam as a threat.
It just goes to show your black and white mentality – there’s you, the all-knowing sage with the answer to the islamic problem and there’s everyone else, the “softies” who don’t know any better than disagree with you on something or anything.

Just what I was thinking. One would be inclined to consider her the very model of the “moderate Muslim”—right up until she starts ranting about the mass-murder of Jews and her admiration for Hitler. *Ugh*.

How laughable. Muslims complain about being oppressed when they are the minority yet when they are in power no minority rights exist at all. Screw Islam.

“SIR L. HAMMOND: …..What I want to know is, did the Government of Palestine, the Administration, acquire the land and then hand it over to the Jews?
MUFTI: In most cases the lands were acquired.
SIR L. HAMMOND: I mean forcibly acquired-compulsory acquisition as land would be acquired for public purposes?

MUFTI: No.”
