Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

UK Muslima tried to smuggle 20,000 euros in underwear for Syria jihadis

Jul 8, 2014 1:41 pm By Robert Spencer

Nawal Msaad2Nawal Msaad sure looks “moderate.” And yet there seems to be no curiosity about why she agreed to undertake this odd and dangerous mission for her friend. Was their friendship really that strong? Or does Nawal Msaad endorse the perspective of the Islamic jihadis she was trying to help finance? Does anyone in the UK dare to ask such questions?

“London-born student ‘tried to smuggle 20,000 euros inside her underwear to fund jihadists fighting in Syria,'” by Harriet Arkell, Daily Mail, July 8, 2014 (thanks to Thomas Pellow):

A university student was caught trying to smuggle vast quantities of euros in her underwear through Heathrow to give to a British terrorist fighting in Syria, the Old Bailey heard today.

Nawal Msaad, 27, had a stash of 20,000 euro in notes wrapped up in clingfilm as she prepared to board a flight to Istanbul from Heathrow, jurors heard.

The court was told Msaad, from Holloway, north London, had agreed to be a ‘trusted courier’ for her close friend Amal El-Wahabi, also 27.

The money was allegedly to be taken to Turkey at the request of El-Wahabi’s husband, Aine Davis, who had joined fighters in Syria.

Msaad was stopped by police at the departure gate and the cash, which had been hidden in a condom in her pants, was found when they searched her.

Msaad and El-Wahabi, of north west London, are on trial at the Old Bailey accused of funding terrorism. They deny the charge.

Prosecutor Mark Dennis, QC, said the women, both of whom were born in London, had been close friends for years.

Davis left London in July last year to pursue the jihadist cause but had maintained regular contact with his wife, with whom he has two young sons, he said.

The 30-year-old, who was also born in London with roots in Gambia, converted to Islam six or seven years ago, the court heard.

Mr Dennis said: ‘It is alleged in this case that the money that the second defendant was attempting to take out to Turkey was money that had been raised in this country and had been destined to support the jihadist cause which Davis was now pursuing with like-minded supporters.

‘The allegation in this case is that each defendant, when becoming concerned in the arrangement of the smuggling of this money to Turkey at the behest of Davis, knew of, at the very least had reasonable cause to suspect, that the money was or might be used for the purposes of terrorism.’

Msaad had been studying human resources at London Metropolitan University in Aldgate at the time her friend had allegedly offered her 1,000 euros to be a courier.

On January 16, she set off for Heathrow airport for the three-day trip but was stopped by police at the departure gate and questioned about why she was going to Istanbul.

She said it was for a ‘short break’ and that she was buying gold for her mother.

She said she had 20,000 euros ‘around me’.

Mr Dennis said: ‘She was then taken to a private room where she pulled out a roll of banknotes from inside her underwear and handed it across to the officers. The banknotes were tightly rolled and were wrapped in cling film.

‘It would appear that it would have been further hidden inside her body, wrapped in a condom.’

There were 38 500 euro notes, four 200 euro notes and two 100 euro notes, totalling 20,000 euros.

The court heard how the arrangements were made in the days before in phone calls and WhatsApp messages between El-Wahabi and her husband Davis and her friend Msaad.

On the day Msaad was arrested, police went to El-Wahabi’s home where they seized mobile phones.

In police interviews, Msaad declined to explain the money, and would only say ‘No comment’.

El-Wahabi gave three short statements to police maintaining that an iPod, Kindle and iPad found at her address belonged to ‘the father of my children’ who was now living in Turkey.

She denied knowledge of any terrorist activities or their funding, but material recovered from her mobile phone was at odds with her claim not to know about her husband’s active support for the violent jihadist cause, the court heard.

Davis had sent her photos including a ‘selfie’ while he had been away, jurors were told.

There were also videos from Davis to his wife containing jihadist propaganda.

One sent in September last year showed a ‘boy martyr’ aged between ten and 13 holding a Kalashnikov rifle, Mr Dennis said.

The court heard that when Davis left, El-Wahabi – who was living on benefits, had been reluctant to follow and leave behind her friends and family.

But by December last year she was coming around to the idea of joining him wherever he was, jurors were told.

The trial continues.

If the supporters of Jihad decide to start using cryptocurrencies (such as Bitcoin),
authorities might have a much tougher challenge interrupting the financing side.

What kind of man’s name is “Aine”? The only “Aine Davis” I could find on Google was some young female airhead.

“Inside his/her underwear” might now be in use as a euphemism for “inside a body cavity of a person who happens to be inside (wearing) underwear.”

It does not sound like the money was found in a pat-down. It sounds like she was stashing the money inside her choice of body cavities. I suppose that several rolls of cash would have been created before putting them inside the condom. Drugs have been smuggled that way for some time. Recently, there has been talk of using that method for smuggling explosive devices past checkpoints.

So how was the money actually found? Was something like an x-ray scanner in use? Was the info already known from a cell-phone tap? Had this girl made several similar trips? Repetitive trips to war or drug zones means probable smuggling.

The moneyman’s name is Al-Wahabi. Amazing how often the Islamic name tells part of the story. Al-Wahabi was destined to aid the Syrian jihad at birth really. He didn’t have a chance.

Ex// Converts who use “Mujahid” tend to be problematic.

    ……………………………..

Surely this comes as no surprise—no one carries that kind of cash unless the end use is drugs or terror.

Certainly, the idea that she was going to Istanbul to “buy gold” might be plausible, but the idea that she was going to do it with huge stashes of cash jammed up her yin-yang is not.

And yes—now we have “moderate looking” Muslimahs as well as the men—but in the end, they have Jihad on their minds.

I’m just glad that the British authorities are not so pc that they failed to recognize this.

And notice that her friend is *living on the dole* in Britain—while her hubby is off waging violent Jihad, and her friend has access to 20,000 euros. The idea that Britain—and the rest of Europe—is so amiable about supporting these Jihadists and their dependents is just suicidal madness.

A minor point, but notice that Nawal Msaad was studying “human resources”. This is generally pretty much a bullsh*t major.

But the boring bureaucratic mien of this major takes on rather a different aspect when you realize the “human resources” of Jihad—the deployment hordes of violent Jihadists, young girls off to wage “sex Jihad”, and couriers like this one with with thousands of pounds bundled into their knickers…

Pretty much? Got to disagree with you here, Graven. HR is *totally* a bullsheet major, so much so it shouldn’t be a major at all. Same goes for the HR professions, in which millions get fat wages for enforcing race discrimination law foisted on us by our elite rulers in Washington (the country’s richest metro area).

The question is, why something like this happen in this modern time?
Of course because of the other faith (non Muslim) or other race, are no longer respect their own race or religion. See? More and more Christian didn’t respect their own Christianity.

Brian Hoff types very differently. He keeps creating run on sentences with no coherent point and spouts conspiracy theories. Mary_Gonzalez may use broke grammar, but here points are very coherent and she sticks to facts. And she is anti-Muslim.

One thing that is common to many of Jihadski’s posts is how many people he calls “dumbass” without any sort of provocation, use a search function on this website and type in “dumbass” and “jihadski”. And he threatened physical violence against Semeru.

I suspect you may be up to no good.
I must admit, I was a little puzzled by the criticism of the comment “wolf in sheep’s clothing” as well, then I looked a bit closer and saw the lead in “Old Quote and Netanyahu quoted few weeks ago ”
This also made me ask “Huh”
A bit off the wall intro, but harmless enough it seemed to make me think that maybe PJ was overreacting a bit.
So I did a bit of searching and came across the comment by Mary_gonzales that you listed.

It appears that the following earlier comment of Mary_Gonzales
may have a bit of stealth ambiguity disguised as sincerity and could be the work of an evasive Muslim apologist.
          I added a few parentheses
          Very Suspicious —-

@mazo – “knock someone out” doesn’t mean murder. Try to improve your English!!!! And don’t you have anything else better to do than count how many words a person uses by using Google?!!

Another thing: when a person (e.g. Mary Gonzales or whoever) says that “More and more Christians don’t respect Christianity” – it means that this person is being really cunning and is actually not “anti-muslim” as you say, but is actually trying to make people believe that the faith in Christ is not valid any more and this person is actually being used by Satan because Satan knows that “his time is short”. Read Revelations 12.:12. But the fact is that many people are getting saved and are receiving Christ. IF a person doesn’t accept Christ then it is between him/her and God… since it a personal decision from the heart. God doesn’t compel anyone.

          Re the above:

I’ve seen Mary Gonzales post before, and from what I can remember from her comments, she definitely opposes Jihad.

I would just imagine that English is not her first language—from her name, she is likely a native Spanish speaker.

Himalayan Pony, “Carol” (Ismail Mohamed) *did* threaten to murder Semeru. He wrote:

“Rest assured, I’ll send you tiny-balled, tiny-dicked Chinese Asian muzzie to your Allah’s celestial brothel in less 30 seconds using only my bare hands.”

Now, I’m not a big fan of creepy Muslim apologist Semeru, but this is way out of line—this sort of threat is not allowed here on Jihad Watch.

Moreover, Ismael Mohamed has been banned multiple times‚ initially for sending pornographic material to Champ and myself.

Now, I’m not terribly prudish—but this was very aggressive and ugly stuff.

Later, under another username, he “invited” me to Europe for “a fistfight”—and then he linked to pictures of “naked white women”.

He has been banned again—but given his history, will probably show up under yet another username. He has already done so three or four times.

He is definitely a troll, and *not* an ally in the fight against Jihad.

But that leads us to Mazo’s comments—he is not here to defend Mary Gonzales, nor to praise my ability to identify trolls.

Instead, he is here just to insult staunch Anti-Jihadists Philip Jihadski and Jay Boo.

By the way, I didn’t recognize “Carol” the first post I saw, either—he just made some odd comment about living in a Muslim country. Initially, I thought that “Carol” might have been a Westerner working in Saudi Arabia or one of the Gulf states, or perhaps serving in the military and stationed somewhere in Dar-al-Islam.

It was only after he started ranting about being an Egyptian atheist, insulting someone’s (supposed) size “inadequacies”, and threatening to beat them to death that I recognized our “old friend”.

That another long-time poster here did not initially recognize him tells us *nothing*.

The fact is that Mazo himself is almost certainly the many-times-banned poster “Horse”, who has turned up here under a variety of guises, nattering on about the allegedly peaceful nature of ravening Jihadists in China.

He appeared to fall through the cracks after Marisol Seibold—who monitored the site—moved on a couple of years ago.

His usual MO is just to—as Dumbledore’s Army pithily puts it, “throw sand”—that is, to try to cast doubt wherever he can, and where that doesn’t work, just to distract from the issue at hand as much as possible.

Ultimately, Mazo doesn’t care about Mary Gonzales, Ismail Mohammed, or myself—he is just here weakly trying to discredit two staunch Anti-Jihadists, hoping it will (somehow) cast doubt on all posters here.

Notice that Mazo doesn’t comment on the story about the funding of violent Jihad, above—nor is he likely to.

He is a thoroughgoing apologist for Muslim savagery, and everything he posts here—even when technically accurate—needs to be read in light of that nasty fact. *Ugh*.

Instead of condemning Philip Jihadski’s threats of physical violence and profanity laced name calling, cravenmirage proceeds to engage in more deliberate obfuscation and character assasination.

And actually Philip Jihadski should continue with his insults- when he insulted Confucian-Daoist Tradition (aka Dual Space, who is vy much not a Muslim), he showed all non-Muslim Chinese what kind of scumbags support “counter jihad”. Dual Space has been exposed to your people’s vile hatred of China, I hope Jihadski continues to call all non-westerners here “dumbass” and insults their countries, so they can see how despicable your cause is.

Actually I’m glad voegelinian and PhilipJihadski are saying the things that they say, because Layla immediately sensed something was amiss with you people after reading voegelinian’s comment.

Just as Europeans don’t want other people changing their culture and religion and sticking their noses into their internal affairs, the non-western world wants the same.

I say European, because you North Americans, Australians, and New Zealanders already stole and occupied native America, Aboriginal, Hawaiian, and Maori lands and changed their cultures and religions.

Layla already made her decision on her own life and religion and doesn’t need unhelpful “advice” from people who know nothing about her people or family.

          ……………………………..

The implication that Philip is some sort of ‘racist’ could not be more ludicrous. He is someone who has taught abroad for many years all over the world, and his own kids are mixed race.

But more, even, than his insults to a staunch Anti-Jihadist here is the idea that opposing violent Jihad is “despicable”.

Note what he is implying—that opposing the kidnapping, oppression, brutalization, and murder of innocent people is somehow “racist”—as though it somehow proves lack of racism to want to see people of color brutalized.

“Logic” that only an apologist for Muslim savagery could love…

I should have corrected myself- Philip Jihadski hates non western countries which don’t act like a brown sahib and allow westerners like him free reign to do whatever shit they want, which is why he hates Saudi Arabia and China so much.

However some westerners who hate Saudi Arabia like countries like the Philippines because it ships the most young Filipina mail order brides to satisfy the needs of old western losers who can’t find any white women.

Because Saudi Arabia does not pimp their own women for sale to horny losers, the old losers get sexually frustrated and lash out.

          More meretricious nastiness from Mazo:

I should have corrected myself- Philip Jihadski hates non western countries which don’t act like a brown sahib and allow westerners like him free reign to do whatever shit they want, which is why he hates Saudi Arabia and China so much.
          …………………………………

Good God, what rot. Philip’s criticisms of Saudi Arabia and China have to do, respectively, with one of them being an oppressive Muslim theocracy, and the other being an oppressive Communist state.

It is notable, in fact, that Mazo has no criticism for these appalling polities himself—but then, he *loves* tyranny—except, of course, when they set their sights on controlling Jihadists.

Whereas, say, Taiwan, and Lebanon (pre-mid-1970s, in any case) are much more civilized places—so this has *nothing* to do with race.

It also has noting to do with Westerners having “free reign”—Saudi Arabia, for instance, is far more likely to victimize *non-Western* victims such as workers from Bangladesh, the Philippines, and Indonesia, because they have fewer protections from their home countries. And there is, of course, their savage treatment of women—including native Saudis.

And most victims of Chinese oppression are native Chinese.

The idea that opposing this oppression *of non-white people* is “racist” is just ludicrous—but Mazo continues to flog it.

And why not? Civilized Westerners—to their credit—abhor the ugly and irrational idea of racism. But this means that those like Mazo are eager to falsely impugn racism where none exists, hoping to discredit good people who stand against evil.

For instance, most of the criticisms against China also held true for the old Soviet Union, where most of the victims were “white”.

This shows how ludicrous this is—neither Islam nor hard-core Communism are indicative of race—instead, they are malevolent *ideologies*.

And people from all over the world, of many races, have been victimized and murdered in the name of these creeds.

          More:

Because Saudi Arabia does not pimp their own women for sale to horny losers…
          …………………………………

What a bizarre thing to say—this is, in fact, *exactly* what happens in Saudi Arabia, where every woman must have a “Mehram” (owner), and women are indeed sold into marriage, usually with no say of their own.

Whatever the problems in the Philippines, women—save for some Muslim women in the south—are *not* treated like this, and they have their own agency.

So—what is Mazo lauding about Saudi Arabia? Why, the fact that Muslim women are not allowed to marry for love—and, especially, that they are not allowed to marry Infidels.

And why is this? Because Muslims believe they own “their women”, and so don’t allow Infidels such perceived ownership.

It doesn’t work the other way, of course—Muslim men may marry Infidel women, because such women are then deemed to be under the control of Muslims, and any children are, by law, to be raised as Muslims.

          More:

I wonder why cravenmirage didn’t answer about Israel supporting Azerbaijan against Armenia? Or Israel lobby and Jewish Professor Bernard Lewis in America helping deny Armenian genocide? Cravenmirage always seems to slink away and dissapear when faced with those questions- in a cravenly manner.
          …………………………………

How ludicrous. I have never believed that Israel—or, indeed, any nation—is above criticism. My being a staunch supporter of civilized Israel against the depredations of their genocidal Muslim “neighbors” doesn’t mean I consider them to be infallible.

I would, for instance, have been a strong supporter of the United States against Fascism—which does not mean that I believe that there wasn’t room for improvement in America at the time.

And the fact is that I have fairly frequently been critical of Israel’s actions—and have said as much here.

I am disgusted by any denial of the Armenian Genocide. But pretending that the main purveyor of this denial is *Israel* is simply ludicrous.

And even more than with Israel, the idea that one cannot be supportive of the Jewish people’s right to existence unless one is brainlessly uncritical of *every individual Jewish person* is completely absurd.

The idea that one should, say, unreservedly support some enabler of Jihad like Noam Chomsky because that tool happens to be ethnically Jewish is absurd.

In fact, one of the points of opposing Jihad and Shari’ah is the concept of treating people *as individuals*, completely on the merit of their actions—something an apologist for totalitarian evil like Mazo could never understand.

Saudi Arabia protects its own race and culture from getting overwhelmed by hordes of undocumented immigrants. Problem? I want the 200,000 African illegals in Guangzhou to gtfo of China too. And I was referring to the fact that the Saudi government and other Gulf states make it very hard for foreigners who want to marry their women, you need the government’s permission and if you are not Arab and they don’t like you, forget about it.

I think you know full well that I was not talking about being treated like a South Asian migrant laborer when I said Jihadski cannot do what he wants, but rather refer to the fact that Jihadski cannot pick up Saudi women for sex or proposition to them on the street like he can do to Filipina women. Saudi women are not sold to foreigners as Filipina mail order brides are, like it is almost a business.

I oppose open borders and want countries to mind their own business. No crocodile tears about human rights, like USA pretending to give a damn about Uyghurs and Tibetans while it abets slaughter and rape of Moros and Papuans.

Taiwan claims Tibet as part of its territory. Taiwan still maintains the “Tibet and Mongolian Affairs Commision” which is supposed to regulate the Tibet and Mongolia regions of the Republic of China. Taiwan does not recognize Tibet as independent. There are Tibetans on Taiwan who fled there in 1949 with the Republic of China government and oppose Tibetan independence

In fact the Dalai Lama’s CTA was embarrassed about the fact that there are anti-communist Tibetans in Taiwan who oppose independence and never talks about them in public, since it would make westerners realize that not only mainland China, but Taiwan as well opposes independence.

There were so many anti-semitic remarks on the Armenian forum http:// forum. hyeclub . com/ that the administrators had to replace the word “Jew” with “XXX”. Many Armenians believe that the Young Turk architects of the Armenian Genocide like Talaat Pasha, were Turkish cypto Jews called Donmeh. They believe Jews had a hand in the extermination of Armenians, and with the Israeli lobby blocking recognition of the genocide, this is only increasing their belief in this theory.

And I noted that Taiwan was a much more civilized place than is Communist China—that does not mean that I agree with their every official stance.

And dredging up an obscure border dispute from the 1930s is even less salient.

As for some Armenians being antisemitic, this is unfortunate but neither here nor there. Many former dhimmis have picked up on the antisemitism of their former Muslim masters.

The idea that Armenians represent some sort of great threat to Israel or the Jews is just silly—instead, both the Armenians and Jews have been victimized by Muslims.

But really, Mazo is just madly spamming now—he has no real point to make, and hopes he can camouflage that fact by throwing great enough quantities of sand.

          http://www.maristmessenger.co.nz/2013/05/01/missionary-audacity-the-mission-to-tibet/

And we recall here Fr Maurice Tornay, a canon–regular of Grand St Bernard, assassinated by lamas on August 11, 1949, on the frontier of independent Tibet, and who was beatified by Pope John-Paul II in 1993. His crime was to have penetrated into the interior of Tibet in order to plead with the government of Lhasa for Christians, who were forbidden the right to exist in their own country. Well, Blessed Maurice was the eleventh and most recent of Tibet’s missionary martyrs. But, from 1854 to 1940 ten MEP missionaries had suffered the same fate in similar circumstances. Perhaps people forgot to beatify them?

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1905_Tibetan_Rebellion

On July 22, 1905, the Tibetan Lamas killed the French Catholic missionaries[7] Père Pierre-Marie Bourdonnec and Père Jules Dubernard[8] around the Mekong.[9] A Chinese military mandarin informed Forrest on how exactly the Tibetans killed his friends. The Tibetans “disembowelled, beheaded and quartered” the body of Pere Bourdonné after he was shot to death. Chinese soldiers guarded Forrest from the Tibetans pursuing him.[10]

Jules Dubernard had been tortured for days by the Lamas. His upper limbs were both fractured and restrained, he was secured on a stake, his eyes were gouged, his tongue, ears and nose severed, while he was living, his extremities were severed. The body parts of the French priests were sent by the Tibetans to be displayed at Lamaseries. Forrest lost a great deal of his scientific data, photographs and specimens of plants he was collecting.[11]

At the Atuntze Monastery the Tibetans mounted the decapitated heads of the French priests.[12]

At Cizhong Another Church was constructed after Tibetan mobs, under direction of their Lamas, wrecked the Christian mission.[13]

Sounds like the work of civilized, peace loving Tibetan Lamas that we’ve all been hearing about.

And when the Tibetans wanted to take Muslims on in Qinghai, they get asskicked and go crying for a ceasefire.

          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sino-Tibetan_War

Israel is the country which has been assisting the Turkish military for decades, and selling them arms and equipment, and now helping the Azerbaijani military. Its actually Israel which is threatening Armenia and not vice versa.

The truth is that the entire *concept* of human rights is alien to Islam—oppressing, brutalizing, and murdering Infidels or the “insufficiently Islamic” is, in fact, a central tenet of this terrible creed.

With my first quick glance at the headline of the article, I thought it meant that she’d tried to smuggle 20,000 Euro worth of underwear to the jihadis, which is a helluva lot of underwear, and that the jihadis must all have soiled breeches. No wonder the Iraqi army runs away from them; the stench must be overwhelming. After a closer reading, I realized it was 20,000 Euro IN the underwear. Darn; I liked it better the first way.
Note that Euro-notes come in denominations as large as 500, so we’re talking about maybe only 40 small pieces of paper. Easy to slip into her bra. Same amount on each side of course, so she doesn’t look unbalanced.

      Ebonystone,

It’s even more scandalous when you read further, “‘It would appear that it would have been further hidden inside her body, wrapped in a condom.’”

Apparently the money was rolled up, wrapped in plastic & put inside her vagina. They probably saw it on the full body scanner, which everyone has to endure due to Muslims slipping c4 up their butts, or surgically implanting bombs. I guess we can add money in the vagina to the list of atrocities lol
