Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Australia: Muslim group outraged at anti-terrorism laws

Aug 7, 2014 10:08 am By Robert Spencer

Samier DandanFor years we have seen the same thing in the U.S.: the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and other Islamic supremacist groups have fought tooth and nail against counter-terror measures, and continue to do so. Just once it would be refreshing to see these groups that ostensibly oppose jihad terror actually doing something to quell it.

“Anti-terrorism laws more frightening than racial abuse, says Muslim group,” by Daniel Hurst, the Guardian, August 7, 2014:

The Abbott government’s proposed changes to anti-terrorism laws are “more destructive” than the shelved amendments to race laws, the Lebanese Muslim Association has argued.

Tony Abbott attempted to appeal to Islamic communities on Tuesday by dumping changes to the Racial Discrimination Act in order to preserve “national unity” at a time when the government was seeking to toughen security laws.

But the prime minister’s gesture failed to satisfy the Lebanese Muslim Association, which said the anti-terrorism amendments seemed to “target the Muslim community” and “give authorities unprecedented and intrusive powers”.

“If these new anti-terror changes are in lieu of 18C [the amendments to the Racial Discrimination Act], we would rather continue the debate of 18C as a nation than have the Australian Muslim community endure such discriminatory measures,” the association said.

Its president, Samier Dandan, added: “These laws will be more destructive than the proposed legislation which has just been discarded. I urge the government to abandon these divisive measures and restore public confidence in our ostensible rights as citizens in a democratic nation.”

The association said Muslims living in the west treasured their safety, security and freedoms, but “divisive rhetoric and fearmongering often used by political representatives and the media is only feeding the frenzy of an us-versus-them mentality”.

The government plans to broaden the listing criteria for terrorist organisations, lower the threshold for arrest without warrant for terrorism offences, extend police and intelligence agencies’ powers to stop, question and detain suspects, and make it easier for the Australian federal police to seek control orders on people returning from fighting abroad.

The foreign affairs minister, Julie Bishop, would be able to designate an area where terrorist organisations were conducting hostile activities, such as parts of Iraq and Syria, and it would become an offence to travel to those areas “unless there is a legitimate purpose”.

A number of Islamic community leaders have raised concerns about this provision, including practical questions over how people could prove their innocence and suggesting innocent people may be targeted.

Abbott says the stronger powers are needed to keep the community safe because “there are up to 150 Australians who’ve gone to Syria and Iraq to engage in terrorist activities” and they pose a serious risk if they become return to Australia having been radicalised.

Bret Walker SC, whose term as Australia’s independent national security legislation monitor expired earlier this year, said there was “a lot of reason to be concerned” about the threat posed by Australians fighting in Syria and Iraq, but there were “big questions” about how the government’s laws would operate.

“I’m very concerned that we will end up or could end up with something being an offence constituted by simply having gone to a place where terrorism is in train, somewhere as large as Syria or Iraq, both big territories, with many innocent people doing many innocent things and many innocent people doing many wonderful things, humanitarian assistance,” Walker told the ABC’s Lateline program.

“An offence of going to such a place, because you have failed to satisfy someone, presumably a judge, on presumably the balance of probabilities, that you were there for what I’ll call a good purpose or at least not a bad purpose. If that’s an offence, it has to be made quite clear it won’t mean that they’ve shown that you’ve done anything wrong at all except go to that place.

“How much imprisonment, if any, should a person suffer for going to a place of that kind? So I think there are some big questions about how you frame such a law and there are certainly some large questions as to whether they really would be very useful at all.”

The government is also planning to push ahead with a scheme to make it mandatory for telecommunications companies and internet service providers to retain consumers’ metadata for two years.

Walker said he had no problem with the collection and storage of metadata but the government should ensure access was only available with a warrant.

On Tuesday Abbott said he was dropping the Racial Discrimination Act changes because he was “determined to engage in ever closer consultation with communities including the Australian Muslim community” over the security laws.

“When it comes to counter-terrorism everyone needs to be part of ‘Team Australia’ and I have to say that the government’s proposals to change 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act have become a complication in that respect,” the prime minister said. “I don’t want to do anything that puts our national unity at risk at this time and so those proposals are now off the table.”

You should tell us where the Koran influences paedophillia so I can read it for myself, then I can compare it with Bibical Scripture and Tradition….for us it’s the protocols of the church that has all authority over heaven and earth, according to Matthew 18:18 – 16:19 , thumbs your up thumbs your down, for the benefit of our friend down below…… the page of course.

Your talking to people that are very well informed about Islam. Nothing you say will change the fact that the Quran and the Hadiths promote, Murder, rape, pedophilia, theft, deceit, incest, torture, racism, vandalism, child brutality, destruction, deviant sexual practices(including sex with animals)etc. etc. etc. and so it goes on. Islam is the lowest form of FALSE religion on earth. A woman hating boys club, with underlying Homosexual practices.

If the Quran is 100% incontrovertable and a perfectly holy book
for which many people have lost their lives when merely ‘suspected’ of ‘harming’ it. We have to ask how can what is written be questioned? Then we must ask why would a middle aged man take a child as a wife? Mohammad was constantly capturing women in battle against his enemies, and giving them as ‘presents’ to his followers, so it was not as though their were no adult women available. I suppose he had a taste for virgins.

Good grief—the “Prophet” himself married little Aisha when she was just six, and consummated the “marriage” when she was nine.

Little girls all over the Muslim world suffer child marriage exactly on the model of the actions of Muhammed, the perfect man.

And Jannah—Islamic paradise—features “pearly boys” for the faithful to enjoy themselves with.

Given the really long and really sad trail of sexual violence left by the Lebanese Muslims in Australia, you would think their community would hang their heads in collective shame and stop making waves for a while, but no – why would they? It’s always about them, them, them and nobody else. Only a Muslim can be so shameless as to think that there is no limit after which it’s good to stop talking and making demands.

A reality check is what is needed in relation to paedophilia, including sex abuse not only for the Koran as stated, when we of the western world who have the Scriptures some using tradtion to separate themselves have carried out the worse cases recorded against their own, with allegiances to a sovereign state claiming diplomatic immunity from any prosecution.

          Are you serious?
          Better remove the blinkers.
We as Catholics who are goverened by the State of Vatican with diplomatic immunity, with Scripture and Tradition as guidelines for our faith, have had our children annihalated for God knows how long and covered up from the top; and we won’t even go into their role during military rule in Argentina, financially supporting them and choosing the bishops.
Being a Catholic country and ruling as such, did you know even the Jews had to bow to them and have Catholic basics taught in their schools under the guise of human development or some such.
“When vilification is taken up by strong political forces we are confronted with something more than religious bigotry, it becomes racial” someone once stated.

        • CogitoErgoSum says

          Aug 7, 2014 at 9:30 pm

Yes, I am serious. So I have answered your question but you still have not answered mine. What scriptures do we as Catholics follow which condone paedophilia? What tradition of pederasty? I was an altar boy in the 1960’s and I do not recall every being even remotely aware of this tradition. I live in the United States and I recited the pledge of allegiance to the U.S. flag every single morning at my Catholic school. The Vatican may be a sovereign state but it is not my country… and neither is Argentina. You speak of things that happened in Argentina under a dictatorship many years ago. I leave it up to the Argentines to explain. And the Pope may be the successor of Christ on Earth but my God is triune and consists of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. My conscience answers only to my God.
And yes, I know…….some priests are pederasts but not all and it is a sin to molest little children…. and that applies even to priests. I do not wear blinkers. Do you? Your turn.

”A reality check is what is needed in relation to paedophilia, including sex abuse not only for the Koran as stated”

Your relentless attempts at witless moral equivalency are not only stupid, and tiresome, but you also don’t appear to have any knowledge of the scriptures of Christianity, or the **laws** of the civilised West.

I’m seriously beginning to wonder if you are, in fact, a mohammedan in a mask, not just the dim leftard useful idiot you are trying to appear.

Paedophilia, in islam, is sanctioned by the **’prophet’**. This is not in the koran, but the hadith. The vile mohammed married a six year old child, then raped her when she was nine. Consequently, throughout the mohammedan world, child marriage, and child rape, is common.

One of the first acts of the ayatollah Khomeini when he came to power in Iran, was to **lower the age of marriage for little girls to nine**. This was done in imitation of, and admiration of, the putrid mohammed, whom all mohammedans are supposed to revere as the ‘perfect man and the perfect example’.

There have been many, many cases of little girls being forced to marry men twice, three times their age, being raped, dying of it, or dying of the subsequent damage when their immature bodies try to give birth.

There are plenty examples of this in the JW archives. Not only that, I wonder whether you have noticed the television appeals lately, by Save the Children and others, asking for donations to **prevent** the prevalence of child marriage ? Of course, it is not mentioned that this takes place predominantly in mohammedan countries, under the aegis of the sharia, and the tradition of mohammed, but the fact that it is being done at all, signifies the prevalence of this vile practice. And the **sanction** it is given in islam.

        Now, listen carefully.

Jesus Christ was not a murdering paedophile.

There is **nothing** in the New Testament, or **any** Christian writings, anywhere, at any time, that suggests, condones, or in any way admires such a hideous practice.

The Catholic priests that have committed these horrible crimes, have been doing so **against the tenets of their own religious faith**. Ditto any other member of the clergy, of whatever denomination, who indulges in such vile perversion.

Yes, the Catholic Church has been wickedly culpable in covering up such foul breaches of trust, and the **law**, but why do we know about it now ? Because in the civilised West, children who come forward and speak about their abusers, and the abuse they have suffered, are listened to, because what those priests did is **against the law**.

Catholic, Protestant, or any other clergy, of any Christian denomination, or **any** perverted, evil creature who preys on young children, are guilty of a **crime**, which, in the civilised West, is punished by **jail time**, and being put on the Sex Offenders Register, so everyone knows who they are, and are prohibited from coming into contact with children, ever again.

In islam, this kind of perversion is not only **sanctioned in law**, it is admired, or condoned, because **that is what the vile mohammed did**.

By which I mean they will murder a few people by burning them alive and destroy as much property as they can. Which of course is OK with them as they are ‘protecting’ Allah!

In the same way that they are aggressively using the legal system as a subtle means to intimidate and subjugate the UN and all democratic governments; it is time not only for the Christian churches in the West but around the world to unify and organize its own counterpart national association or council to use peaceful legal means to help their national government to effectively address and handle this kind of aggressive religious/cultural intimidation of all government executive, legislative and judicial branches at all levels–Federal, state, provincial, city, county, etc.

Not only must Church leadership intentionally educate their congregation on the pulpits; they must boldly denounce the media’s abusive misrepresention and suppression of the truth and and governments’ failure to correctly address this aggressive subtle subjugation.

As Christians, violence is not the solution; awareness of their deceitfulness is. I thank Robert Spencer and the likes of him who continue to expose the truth.

Continue to actively share such information with everyone around the world.

Well, it’s obvious that the Muslims you are so worried about weighed the pros and coins of their immigration move and realized that they could live with the fact of one past president having had oral sex in his office.

As for the other Muslims, who stayed in their homelands, they hear far more horrible stories about things happening in their world every day, such as abductions and rapes of small children and that’s only the beginning. I lived there for two years and I know what I’m talking about.

The problem is their press barely if ever writes about it, so their world ends up looking squeaky clean while the truth is it is more dirty than a sewerage main hole.

No doubt there are many very well educated and cultivated muslims from Australia who are interested in going to Iraq and Syria to visit ancient monuments and museums!. No doubt Syria and Iraq are real tourist traps for muslims interested in ancient cultures! The fact is that they jihadists have not only being kiling people but also looting musuems which had important pieces of great antuiquity , just like the Taliban when they were in Afghanistan. Remember the story about the burning of the library of Alexandria. If the content of the books was not int he Qu´ran, then they were superflous.

I have to wonder if Robert Spencer really takes any notice of many of you or just trying to get you all going…..a little like rent -a -crowd at protests.
He’s probably having a laugh, being the well spoken and educated person he is .

        Lynne Newington,

Having read all your comments on this thread, my verdict on you is that you are troll. So far you have done nothing but correct and “discipline” others, with zero contribution to the knowledge on Islam. Instead it was us who wasted time giving you links you could read and use to educate yourself. If you really did so, you would be a part of the conversations already and not spend even a minute engaging in ad hominem attacks.

This is a group of posters with its own dynamics and sense of humour. Some of the things we say here make sense in the context of things we said before on other threads. You could simply sit back and listen to grasp this but no, why would you? Trying to demonstrate a superior upbringing is much easier than forming a clever and useful thought, isn’t it?

Mirren was right – you have poor reading and comprehension skills and you need a better moniker. I think her suggestion, “useful idiot” is great, but I’ll add one more: “I am not a very clever troll because I can be easily smelled out, can’t I?”

For the record, Muslims are crybabies, indeed. They start terrorism and wars against unsuspecting non-Muslims who want nothing but to live in peace in their own countries and then they start crying when they realize that their victims are perfectly capable of kicking their asses. Richie is right – if that doesn’t fit the definition of a “crybaby”, I don’t know what does. If you failed to see this, you have a serious comprehension problem, indeed.

For the record, with all the ‘Christians” participating on the site, not one has made allowances for the decent Muslims living peaceful and law abiding lives, no separation of the militants and their agents whatsoever, particularly with what’s happening in Israel at the moment.
What are you going to say when peace is finally attained which it will eventually be.
This I don’t understand and if you don’t accept that I do, we’ll have to agree to disagree….you me and others.

You do have a serious problem understanding what Robert Spencer and all of us are trying to tell here, don’t you?

          The main point is:

The so-called “militants” and the so-called “peaceful, law-abiding Muslims” are reading the same book – the Quran. An extremely violent book obviously written by a very sick and depraved mind.

This is the book that shapes the thoughts of every Muslim since the moment s/he was born.

There are no two Qurans for those who are inclined to hate and those who want to live in peace. Even the so-called “peaceful, law-abiding Muslims” have a lingering contempt for all of us because we are not Muslims.

A “peaceful” Muslimah was recently overheard to call the bloody 9/11 a “blessing”. Is this the kind of neighbour you want to have and does it really matter that she doesn’t kill with her own hands?

In her mind, she actually delights in the killing of innocent people who don’t believe in her sick religion.

And most peaceful Muslims attend mosque prayers and lectures where hatred for “the infidel” is preached all the time. They won’t tell you this after leaving the mosque but it’s true.

Again, is this the kind of Muslim neighbours and friends you would feel safe around?

You are either extremely stupid or you just insist on annoying others. And let me tell you that even if you achieve your goal of making me answer your rants for ever, my answers will still be more meaningful and useful than you want to, so your mission will fail.

And let me add that suggesting that Robert Spencer’s following on this blog is a “rent-a-crowd” is an insult to Robert Spencer.

You pretend to respect him, yet you drop these little remarks which show that you think he hires his own supporters.

In case you don’t know this, I’m not paid to hate Islam on any blog – I hate it for free. And I’ll hate it for free here and there and everywhere for the rest of my life because it wants to take all my freedoms away.

You are nothing but a troll and the chances are you are actually a part of a much larger “rent-a-crowd” of sinister pro-Islamic trolls trying to disrupt the conversations on this blog and make them less meaningful for the reading world that comes here.

Reality Check, I think ‘lynne newington’ is actually a **mohammedan** troll.

”What are you going to say when peace is finally attained which it will eventually be.”

A sinister remark. This is what mohammedans mean by ‘peace’; when the whole world is either dead, or is living in wretched dhimmitude, or has ‘submitted’ to islam.

          *That’s* her idea of ‘peace’.

You are right, Mirren, and thank you for the kind words. So far Lynne Newington has displayed all the symptoms of a troll – patient, attractively polite, confusing, pretending to want to learn in order to distract us from anything we may want to say, demanding more explanations instead of doing her own research (it takes a couple of mouse clicks to answer her own questions), et cetera, et cetera.

But the cheap jibe at Robert Spencer is what really got my attention, although the list above was enough for me to determine that s/he was a troll – suggesting that Robert Spencer is paying people to post on his blog is a Mohammedan thing to do. Very sinister that s/he tried to pass it amid so much patient and cheerful politeness, though I was rude at least twice.

I also suspect that behind the female name there is a male and that’s sinister in its own right. Maybe because of the nasty Rezali who has pretended to be a woman while often talking like a man. WELL, isn’t it interesting how these woman-hating Mohammedans love to pretend that they are women, though they treat women as dirt?

          Best regards

          RC

The PM imagines there is “national unity”. I suppose he doesn’t read all those emails pouring into his inbox begging him to do something about the Islamic threat. Probably there is a kind of block: if the words “Islam” or “Muslims” come up, the sender gets a soothing, standardised reply.
As he said to me, “If we are good to them they will be good to us.”
I’ll never forget that. I was dumbstruck.

Good. Have you read the koran yet ?

Because every article you read here, about the behaviour and thinking of mohammedans worldwide, is fuelled by that foul book, plus the life of the paedophile mohammed, and the hadith.

        You might want to work on your reading/comprehension skills as well;

” … not all Muslims are radical and militants even though I think you said it with tongue in cheek, even Jews acknowledge that”

To which Charles deLafayette replied; ”I’m Jewish and I don’t acknowledge it.”

To which **you** replied; ”What don’t you acknowledge?”

OK, probably Charles should have copied and pasted your comment, to indicate whom he was replying to, but I thought it was clear.

Also, sometimes a post doesn’t have a reply button, and one has to go to the end of the thread, and use the @ sign. Heh.

Lynne you make some broad generalizations about Christianity.
While you are correct to criticize the institution of the Catholic church for its horrendous role in covering up the sex abuse scandal which at this point is likely overestimated given the shady alliance of leftists and deep pocketed Muslims who have a vested interest in exploiting every claim, you and society must not allow yourselves to overlook how Islam gets away in covering up its many, many sins.

for example, the recent Jihad Watch article
“We are being butchered under the banner of there is no god but Allah” in which Muslim politicians try to hush up anything that sheds a bad light on Islam even if it means children are deliberately butchered (in the name of Islam).

As for your comment; ” … not all Muslims are radical and militants … ”

Yes, I would agree with that, as does Robert, and many others here.

There **are** lots of mohammedans who either know very little about their religion, are mohammedans in name only, or are mohammedans for filial, cultural reasons, or purposely block out and ignore the vile nature of their ‘religion’, because they haven’t the moral courage to confront what it actually demands that they do; anymore than they have the moral courage to confront the nature and behaviour of their vile paedophile ‘prophet’.

So yes, those types of mohammedans probably don’t spend their time thinking about jihad, and how to spread islam, until ”all the world is only for allah”. Unfortunately for them, they will not be any safer from their ummah brothers who **do** take the koran, mohammed, and the hadiths seriously, than us infidels.

islam has a long history of murdering, not only infidels, but those mohammedans not considered sufficiently Islamic. Just take a stroll through the archives, here.

A final point; there have been many cases of mohammedans who **seemed** to be ‘moderates’, suddenly becoming more serious about their ‘religion’, and exploding (pun intended) into sudden jihad syndrome.

A couple of cases in point; in my own country, Britain. One Rajib Karim. Employed by British Airways as a computer programmer, considered by everyone who knew him as a quiet, nice, decent bloke, who had infidel friends, socialised with them, etc. All his infidel friends were utterly shocked when he was arrested in the BA offices for conspiring to **murder the very infidels he had seemingly befriended**.

He also made sure his son was treated for cancer by the NHS, **before** he put his murderous plans into execution.

The 7/7 bomber murderers – supposedly fully integrated into British culture; worked as teachers, in the NHS, went to the gym, played footie, had infidel ‘friends’. Then they suddenly became more ‘religious’, and boom !

The murderers of Lee Rigby – again, supposed ‘moderates’, until they started to take their ‘religion’ seriously, and then ran over and hacked to death a British soldier, in broad daylight on the streets of our capital; their motivation ? Why, the koran ! As they clearly said, on camera, for all the world to see and hear !

And ‘useful idiots’, like the shameful camoron, and, I’m afraid, people like you, still blather the now outworn meme, ”this has nothing to do with islam”.

Not to mention all the murder plots that have been **foiled** by MI5/6. If you google this, you will find **many** more, all over the world.

Think about what ”radical” actually means. It means ”going to the root”.

How many **Christian** converts, or those backsliding Christians who decide to take their religion more seriously, immediately decide to show their zeal by plotting to murder mohammedans ? Why, **none**. Because there is **nothing** in the New Testament that orders, suggests, or condones this.

Ditto Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Confucians, Zoroastrians, etc, etc.

It is **only** mohammedans who do this. Because their foul ‘religion’ **orders** them to.

So excuse me if I take your meme of the ‘tiny minority of extremists’ with a huge, heaping tablespoonful of salt.

If they don’t like the rules for terrorists, then go the hell back to Lebanon, Paliestine, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey or wherever, cause we Judeo-Christians, the non-believers, Kafirs, Infidels, apostates, and mockers of islam/mohaha/mohammadans had a great a decent country until their islamic butts showed up and organizations like CAIR are trying to push our collective faces into that backside.
