And really, who wouldn’t be? “Iran: We are proud of ‘stoning’, regime’s human rights chief declares,” National Council of Resistance of Iran, August 6, 2014 (thanks to Blazing Cat Fur):
Mohammad Javad Larijani, the Head of the Human Rights Council of the Iranian regime’s Judiciary said on August 5: “We are proud of our judicial system and we do not feel uncomfortable with Law of Retribution and even stoning.”
Human rights organizations have increasingly condemned the Iranian regime for practices such as executions, stoning, limb amputations, eye gouging and flogging.
Larijani has continuously rejected international criticism and censure by the United Nations.
In the past he has described stoning and amputations under the regime’s Law of Retribution as ‘beautiful’ and had called the medieval punishments a ‘service to humanity’ and said the increased execution rate was a positive marker of the regime’s achievement.
He told the Wall Street Journal in 2011: “Stoning means you should do a number of acts by throwing a limited number of stones in a special way. In the eyes of some people, stoning is a lesser punishment than execution because there is a chance you should survive.”

Oxymoron indeed to use the words human rights chief in connection with Iran, and even more so to refer to these barbaric punishments as “beautiful.” This Islam is a vile blight on the earth and must be stopped.
Walter Sieruk says
Stoning is just one malicious aspect of the cruel and brutal Islamic law system of this Muslim regime that is officially called “the Islamic Republic of Iran.” This regime is not a real republic, for a real republic is of the people. As in the that word means re-publica “the property of the people.” This is one this this oppressive tyranny of an Islamic regime is not the the mullahs and other Muslim clerics who have all the power come down very hard on the human rights of the Iranian people through their ruthless gang of thugs who call themselves the “Revolutionary Guards” So this dictatorship of a “republic” is even false in its name. This heinous Islamic regime treats the people under it rule in many vicious and harsh way. Furthermore, such hideous and oppressive dictatorships as this regime are explained about in the Bible. For the Bible in Ecclesiastes 4:2 reads “If you see…justice and rights denied do not be surprised at such things.” Also, the same Bible book in 5:8 further describes about “the tears of the oppressed…” Moreover, Proverbs 15:15 teaches that “All the days of the oppressed are wretched.” In addition to this Proverbs 28:15 may apply to either president Rouhani or Ayatollah Khamenei . For it teaches “Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked man ruling over a helpless people..”
In short, the ruthless dictatorship of these two characters as well as the mullahs in power in Iran in the many terrible ways they treat the Iranian people may be summed up in Proverbs 29;2. Which reads “When the wicked rule, the people groan.” [N.I.V.]

Iranians might be quick to agree that it is all the fault of the ‘Regime’
However, the real issue appears to be the filth of Islam.

Don’t discount “The Stoning of SorayaM”
This is as close to criticism of Islam as Hollywood gets.
The Stoning of SorayaM
Some critics said
Violence Porn
Like what Christians did long ago at Salem Witch trials Equivalence
And so on
The movie is for the most part, not that violent (by Hollywood standards)
Violence Porn is a code word that is not permissible to blame Islam
Instead some PC critics project all criticism on the violence itself and not Islam.
No wonder one of the actresses in the movie downplayed Islam’s role.

Iran’s human rights chief: We are proud of stoning
…………………………….
Of course they are—damn barbarians. Why does the sanguinary Islamic Republic of Iran even have a “Human Rights Chief”? This is just for propaganda purposes. What a sick joke.
More:
Human rights organizations have increasingly condemned the Iranian regime for practices such as executions, stoning, limb amputations, eye gouging and flogging.
…………………………….
All perfectly Islamic…
More:
In the past he has described stoning and amputations under the regime’s Law of Retribution as ‘beautiful’ and had called the medieval punishments a ‘service to humanity’ and said the increased execution rate was a positive marker of the regime’s achievement.
…………………………….
Well, of course—what is more beautiful to a pious Muslim than horribly maiming people—except, of course, murdering them in one of the slowest, most torturous, and sadistic ways possible?
More:
He told the Wall Street Journal in 2011: “Stoning means you should do a number of acts by throwing a limited number of stones in a special way.
…………………………….
Note that he doesn’t say what that “special” way is—the killers are enjoined to pick stones that are large enough to inflict serious harm, and yet not so large that the poor victim will die too quickly—and hence stop suffering. *Horrible*.
More:
In the eyes of some people, stoning is a lesser punishment than execution because there is a chance you should survive.”
…………………………….
One might wonder what he means—it is this: women about to be stoned are buried up to their breasts—sometimes their necks—with their hands and arms pinned to their sides.
Men, however, are buried to there waists, and their hands and arms are left free.
Men also, as a rule, have more upper-body strength than do women.
That means that men are far more likely to be able to escape than are women.
Then, depending on the mood of the mob, the victim might be dragged back to the hole, or he might be let go.
Note that this has *nothing* to do with the guilt of innocence of the victim, but just to do with his gender, strength, and luck.
This is another of the horrors of Shari’ah, besides its savage brutality. Its incredible arbitrariness—there are often no rules of evidence, no proper representation, and victims can be charged for such non-crimes as “blasphemy” or “Zina*.
They also have blood money, where a wealthy killer may get off with a fine if the victim’s family is greedy enough.
This is the “judicial system” that the barbaric Mohammad Javad Larijani is so proud of—*Ugh*.
PJG says
I recoiled at the idea of googling “how to stone a person the Islamic way” but I have a suspicion that the “special way” he is talking about includes the distance from the victim, underarm not overarm throws, and who knows what else? Maybe ten seconds between each throw or some such thing? I’m sure this beautiful punishment would have been worked out to the last detail by some sharia enthusiats in the past.
gravenimage says
All very true, PJG—this was what I was alluding to. But you provided much more detail—thank you.
The whole point is that stoning is intended to be as painful and drawn-out as possible. *Ugh*.

Walter Sieruk says
The vicious, cruel and oppressive mullahs and other Islamic clerics who have so much power in Iran may be very well described in the Bible. For in Psalm 73:6-9. it reads “Therefore pride is their necklace; they cloth themselves with violence. From their callous hearts comes iniquity; the evil conceits of their minds know no limits. They scoff and speak with malice; in their arrogance they threaten oppression. Their mouths lay claim to heaven and their tongues take possession of the earth.” [N.I.V]
