A fearful genocide of Christians is happening in Iraq as one family with eight members was shot in their faces because of their refusal to convert to Islam.
Christians are now facing the hapless condition of having their fates limited to three choices: leave, convert to Islam or die.
On August 1, Canon Andrew White, also known as the vicar of Baghdad, had witnessed the horrifying condition that Christians were suffering in Iraq.
“Todays Pictures are too awful to show. You know I love to show photos but the photo I was sent today was the most awful I have ever seen,” White posted in his Facebook page.
“A family of 8 all shot through the face laying in a pool of blood with their Bible open on the couch. They would not convert it cost them there life. I thought of asking if anybody wanted to see the picture but it is just too awful to show to anybody. This is Iraq today. The only hope and consolation is that all these dear people are now all with Yesua in Glory.”
Various reports were echoing the tragic fate that Christians were experiencing in Iraq, under the rule of the Sunni militants.
The militants are now seizing control Iraq’s biggest Christian town – Qaraqosh. An exodus of Christians is happening as they were only given three choices – leave, convert to Islam or face death.
These militants were described as more violent than al Qaeda as they are naming all Christians and other ethno-religious community as infidels. Hence, more violent acts are directed towards these “minorities”….

Today there’s a major Messianic Jewish movement in Israel and elsewhere corresponding with the globally exploding Pentecostal Christian movement so powerful that even in the S. “Hell” for those non-terrorist others who will not to invite Jesus Christ into their lives could possibly be the annihilation of not continuing spiritually by physical death being the end (which most atheists believe is what happens at death anyway). Alternatively “hell” for all but the maliciously and monstrously evil could be some eternal but non-fiery separation from God in a very long (forever) angst of lonely existentialism. Thus, Christianity overall has expanded its range of thought about eternal “hell” in some theological quarters, with many arguments made about what hell entails, something decided by God and not by us and obviously a non-essential of the faith. The Bible reports conversation and teaching moments on the topic of hell but not in the clear Quranic style by which that unholy book directs murder, deceit and conquest as necessary behaviors for the Islamic faithful.
For Islamic jihadists — who stay the murderous and maiming course, sadistically enjoy inflicting horror on the human beings God made (e.g., tweeting the torture photos around the globe to terrorize and chill the hearts of others), and delight in making and living a satanic lie in their death cult when they could have opted instead to convert and have a real religion honoring the real God — a painful and punishing and fire-blistering eternal hell appears a foregone conclusion.

Barile, for my own salvation solely through Jesus Christ and the potential salvation of all others, I am moved to reply that the “universalist” theory so prevalent in the 21st century and to which you each may subscribe (as indicated by your comments) is not Biblical Christianity. The “universalist” theory (instead of Jesus as “the way”) is also and not surprisingly the Trojan Horse by which “interfaith equivalency” through universalists calling themselves Christians accept Islam as if it is a religion with a path to the “Godhead” — irrespective of the Quran’s intolerant, violent, deceptive, discriminatory and hostile descriptions for conduct (inspiring terrorists in the 21st century and making Islam a death cult, not a real religion).
C.S. Lewis, Billy Graham and Anne Graham Lotz had and have the right idea; not Rob Bell, Matthew Fox or John Shelby Spong. Although all things are made new, so to speak, in Jesus Christ, the newness is an unfolding mystery of God’s design across time, but with guidance provided Biblically. Certainly under the U.S. Constitution I support your right to believe and practice any postmodernist attenuation of nominal Christianity you might want to follow, or any other religion which is a real religion and not an excuse for genocide, or none.
But for eternal salvation, to know where you’re going to be with assurance after Islam is long gone, the Bible — the most reliable source about historical guidance provided by Jesus and early Christian followers — confirms the relational triune yet monotheistic faith requirements as Jesus stated it to various of His Jewish disciples for the benefit of all believers:
“I [Jesus Christ] am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. … he that hath seen me hath seen the Father … If ye love me keep my commandments [which included the Jewish Ten Commandments] … Yet a little while and the world seeth me no more …At that day ye will know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. … the Comforter [Counselor, Helper are other nuances of the original Koine Greek word] which is the Holy Ghost [Holy Spirit as also commonly translated] … the Father will send in my name …” John 14: 6, 9, 15, 20, 26 (KJV).

It could be just the usual congressional tactics of talk-talk-talk-do-nothing-talk-talk to divert the populace, make us think things might change when the overarching pro-Islam conquest design has long been set in stone with alternative contingency plans. Great point, Jay Boo. Don’t remember if I saw it here at JW (so much jihadist atrocity, so little time to read as carefully as I’d like) or somewhere else, but if I got the gist (and wasn’t literally dreaming it) many of the Christians persecuted a month or more ago in Syria by IS (when it was still called ISIL or ISIS) left for Lebanon. Afterward and more recently IS went to Lebanon to torch and destroy their refugee camps (and no doubt enact Lebanese collateral damage). With nowhere else to go the persecuted Christians have gone back to all they risked in Syria in default of anybody to take them for safe refuge.
Also I saw something online (maybe here) about France making an overture to take persecuted Christians but Iraq and Syria don’t exactly border France and there’s little reason to believe the Christians could get out of the Syria/Iraq area via roads or airports without IS hunting them down and killing them. Thus France gets to look magnanimous in the propaganda press while not ever really having to deal with any of the persecuted.
Most of the world’s leadership (U.S. included), with Israel I hope continuing to be an apparent exception, looks like they’re in league with the devil.

France allowed the Ottoman navy to use French naval bases in the Mediterranean and provided troops for the Turkish invasions of Hungary and Italy.

Fascinating, and you’re right, I didn’t know the history — only that my intuition (the Holy Spirit’s leading) was nudging a strong sense that France was engaging in some hypocrisy with a propaganda-press-covered offer of Christian refuge against Islamic genocide.
Now if France gets wind that the hypocrisy might become widely known, they’ll probably make a show of flying Christian refugees in or do other propaganda press damage control.
Also as an American I don’t have delusions of my own country’s sanctity of foreign or even national policy before Obama (being part Cherokee, Trail of Tears, and so on). But the U.S. has a better record than many countries (being younger, perhaps, and founded in a thirst for freedom) and most Americans when God-connected and/or otherwise morally grounded were (and many remain) essentially decent in the collective; also that most of our elected leaders have not been quislings.
Since three things however — (1) grooming of Obama to take over in 2008, (2) Obama’s undeclared Muslim willingness by conduct (acts and material omissions) to betray all Americans but Muslims and oligarchic pro-Muslims in the U.S., and (3) SCOTUS “CU” provision of unlimited globalist corporate and “dark money” (undisclosed donors potentially including Islamic pro-terrorists) to electoral campaigns for Republicans and Democrats alike — the U.S. has become a charade country where the reality of undefended borders and largely undefended homeland is belied by the propaganda press (directly via smartphones and laptops and indirectly through movies and TV), fooling too many people that the economy is coming back, that humanity is progressing ever forward, and that the odds may be ever in our favor.

With a phone call, the Saudi prince eliminated the peculiarly Islamic character of the unprecedented French street violence for both the viewers at home and, more significantly, for the journalists behind the scenes. When little owner doesn’t want “Muslim” rioting identified and big owner agrees, it sets a marker for employees. Alwaleed’s stake, by the way, is now 7 percent.
We can only speculate on what other acts of influence this nephew of the Saudi dictator might have since imposed on Fox News and other News Corp. properties. (I have long argued that News Corp. should register as a foreign agent, due to the stock owned by a senior member of the Saudi ruling dynasty.) Alwaleed hasn’t shared any other editorial exploits with the public. But that opening act of eliminating key information from News Corp.’s coverage of Islamic news might well have set a pattern of omission.

When the subject islam is addressed , one has to think of its origin. Mohammed who was nothing more than a common thief, killer and raper of children. Sound like a good citizen or person to know. Never mind pray to? These people are sick in the head and condemned to believe that killing is justified by God. And not only killing but executing in cold blood with no mercy. @ Hammer: You make valid points about Islam, but it’s misleading to write as you have (and an unfair if indirect disparagement of Judaism and Christianity) to contend that “some themes [of the Quran] have been copied [your word, copied] from the Bible.” Instead the Quran borrows from but distorts and twists the Old Testament (Jewish scriptures) of the Bible, and in no manner at all in any place has anything in common with the liberating teachings of Jesus Christ found in the New Testament of the Bible.
“Apostle to the Gentiles” Paul’s church-building writings included in the New Testament were misapplied by fallen men and inept Christians in the 19th century U.S. South who used what Paul said in context of new believers subject to 1st century Roman Empire slavery — more like indentured servitude common worldwide through the 19th century — as justification for African-American slavery. Paul also in his epistle about a slave, Onesimus (see book of Philemon in the Bible) calls him a “son” and seeks his liberation. As to the rest of Paul’s earliest church-building instructions included in the Bible regarding women, it’s historically complicated, thus I’d refer you to the website, http://www.cbeinternational.org/ Also the overwhelming majority of people interpreting the Bible as Christians in the 21st century do not relegate women, as do most of the word’s Muslim males, to head-and/or-body shrouded clothing, virtual house arrest and breeding stock roles only.
Despite Paul’s church-building directions about women in diverse Roman Empire cultures including extreme misogyny and immoral goddess practices, any woman today who really knows Jesus Christ as her savior will find in Him all and more than the Bible teachings about Him suggest. Jesus was and is the ultimate “Word” or logos of God, as reported in the Bible that people sometimes call God’s “word” at John 1: 1-5. As much as I love the book that’s the bible I love Jesus and Who He really is even more.
Jesus Christ, the Savior both fully human and fully divine who cared for the young and the old in a society that marginalized them, stopped an angry mob of men from stoning a woman caught in adultery, invested with first missionary status an unknown Samaritan woman at a well (in a time when men of the culture never spoke to Samaritans or women they didn’t know), and allowed another unnamed woman to anoint His head in the priestly function (extended later to Christians in the priesthood of believers) with the direction (Bible: Matthew 26:6-13, Mark 14:3-9), to tell her story wherever the gospel of Jesus Christ is preached.
Men rarely summarize the key points of the story of Jesus Christ exactly that way but the Bible’s a big book; any fault of skipping over the unique love and respect Jesus had for women is the fault of men doing so in a fallen world culture, not God’s.
The Quran, being a hatefully intolerant effort to replace and supplant Judaism and Christianity by directing that Muslims conquer Jews and Christians and force conversion to Islam and/or enact genocide against Jews and Christians, refers to Jews and Christians as ‘people of the book’ because Muhammad apparently knew about the Bible and wanted his competing Quran to replace it. But Muhammad never understood Who Jesus really is, eternally or for Christians of faith. Or maybe Muhammad understood too well and consciously aligned himself with the satanic side of opposition.
The whole “satanic verses” controversy could have been an Islamic disinformation tactic to make calling out some Quranic verses as satanic seem like enough of a purifying solution when in fact the entire Quran as a whole is satanic. Surely some Muslims, since God created all people, have in them some measure of a conscience that pricks with sin when they read the hatefulness of the Quran’s directions to commit violence in general against non-Muslims, coupled with the written hypocrisy that an Allah who could direct such cruelly hostile behavior is a merciful or otherwise decent deity.
The theology and scriptural exegesis has been covered thoroughly in past JW comments and I’m not at liberty of time to go back through it all. Basically, however, the Old Testament writings of the Bible (completed over milleniums by diverse authors but finished with Malachi about 1,100 or so years before the time of the 7th century Quran) was descriptive of human conduct that was often unlovely and violent, while the God of the Bible was working with the Jewish people to bring them along to a higher level of morality despite their sinning. (The Quran by contrast is prescriptive of violent, vile conduct that clearly by the Bible’s standards is extreme sin.) The God of the Bible gave the Jews a limited property to defend for their homeland, as needed for survival, whereas the Quran’s Allah directs Muslims to use violence and treachery to conquer the entire world (like the Bible’s Satan seeking to supplant the God of the entire world).
The Quran has nothing like the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament but instead the Quran directs Muslims to follow Allah, the supreme schemer, and the violent usurper of humanity’s free will. The Quran’s Allah is anti-God, anti-Christ and has nothing to do with the Bible’s God who gave humans and even Satan free will (up to a point of the end of this world before the next). The Quran’s author or authors directed deception and violence for world conquest, wrote propaganda about the true God of the Bible and attempted badly to imitate a scriptural style familiar to the existing “people of the Book” Muslims intend to convert, conquer or annihilate.
The good news of the Bible is the love, mercy, goodness and justice of Jesus Christ plus Satan’s ultimate defeat once God’s plan has fully unfolded to allow the maximum possible number of people to accept eternal salvation through Jesus — at the point evil including Islam’s terrorist shock wave has grown so huge God finally destroys it forever.

God will do it because He across milleniums and across people writing on His behalf in the Bible promised that He would at the end.
When the trial and testing period at the end of this world’s history is over for everyone and God closes the door to relationship with Him — something Jesus told countless parables about — and those who in exercising their free will have chosen freely to meet God’s standards of caring about and not scheming against or initiating killing one another despite the fallen condition into which humanity overall has placed itself by separation from God, then the evil will end because God will end it.
Only God can end it permanently. Has human history any other lesson? We are a fallen species, unlike others, made originally in the image and likeness of God to hear His voice and follow His lead and be maximally joyous and creative doing so because, while we are the smartest animals, we are not as smart as God who planned what would be the best way for us to exist as beings.
Why would we not trust His plan when human beings have always failed to bring about human-designed utopia or even a lasting peace beyond a week or so of hudna or whatever other sin causes the aggression? Who but God can put even one star into place in another galaxy? Who but God can operate outside time and space? Who but God can even imagine mitochondria until being told about them? Who but God could come to earth (while also still being in space) in the human aspect of Jesus, arriving as a baby through a woman, while also being fully divine and able to constrain those divine attributes long enough to bear crucifixion as atonement for our sins, then achieve resurrection (witnessed by many reliable witnesses, historically speaking) through which we can likewise be promised eternal life if we accept Him as our savior?
God wants to save us all, and came to us as Jesus Christ for that purpose, but many simply won’t accept Him. God doesn’t want us to be the ones to start the killing because God made us and any of us might turn to Him and gain the eternal life He wants to share with each of us if we don’t kill one another first. That’s why the God of the Bible is infamous for “vengeance is mine, saith the Lord.” If destruction is going to happen, it’s God who wants to be in charge of the punishment, God who wants to tweak history, God who knows how to save the innocent for eternity when we don’t and can’t. When human beings initiate aggression, they usurp God’s job. That is why God’s punishment of hell is Biblically indicated against those who have violently schemed to destroy the people God and not they made.
Human ego has a hard time not justifying itself about what belongs to God — all of creation including us — and what belongs to us — relationship with God in a loving eternity if we choose to accept what God has planned for us that most cannot accept because their human ego (‘edging God out’) is a barrier to accepting salvation through “the way” of Jesus Christ.
God’s plan of salvation is so weirdly unbelievably wonderful and amazing, it makes any plot at the multiplex pale as a second-tier story. It is too weirdly wonderful not to be true, in my opinion. Nobody could have made it up. Also my daily lived experience is joyous in a good supernatural way that defies outward circumstances and my highly logical and ego-driven brain.
Self-defense and serving a non-despotic government in a just war are different from not initiating violence — although I understand how, from what Jesus taught, Quakers can tweak the Bible to qualify as conscientious objectors to war-time service. (I’m from a military officer’s family and don’t agree on this with Quakers who are becoming less like Biblical Christians and more like interfaith equivalent pacifists as the 21st century proceeds, which could play into the hands of scheming Islamists looking for interfaith allies).
Right now countless Jews and Christians are praying and contacting their governmental representatives about Islamist encroachments as well as future dangers, and seeking wherever possible to encourage following and knowing the God of the Bible by their example and their witness which for devout Jews (Messianic or otherwise, redacted Bible or Christian Bible) and Christians is what the real Abrahamic faiths — unlike the poser death-cult Islam — call their faith adherents to do.

I currently live in a town of about 30,000 people in America’s Southwest, where people seem to feel removed from world events, and this is reflected in comments they post daily in the town newspaper’s web forum. The subject of Islam arises regularly, and while a couple Christians maintain a wary stand, most other outspoken people seem to try outdoing one another in embracing diversity and tolerance. The town has a small Muslim presence and a mosque, members generally are to be found in the area’s medical community (doctors, etc.). I posted comments recently quoting a Nigerian Muslim-turned Christian who aptly stated, “You do not know Islam until it is strong”. Various inaccurate or distorted historical views need to be corrected, such as everything dealing with the Crusades. I am not Catholic, but must say that the Pope responded to Muslim raids upon Europe which took more than 1,000,000 slaves. How disingenuous it is nowadays for pastors or citizens to distance themselves from the need to confront a political ideology/religion such as Islam, which demands submission. You do not “tolerate” it. You sure don’t let yourself get beguiled into embracing “our Abrahamic brethren” who – for example – slaughtered all 40,000 men, women, and children in Perchtolddorf on their way to attack Vienna in 1689. Thank God for Polish King Jan Sobieski, who did not tolerate Islam, and delivered Vienna and all Europe at the time in 1689.

@ Philip – I hear you 100%. Recently I relocated, perhaps permanently, to my favorite place among the many places around the U.S. I’ve consulted for work over the past 30 years. It took visiting in five different churches to find one, where I’m currently a member (back to my childhood denomination), in which the pastor understands and is willing to speak of Islam as a force for terrorism, murder, genocide and basically overall an intolerant, discriminatory, deceptive, hostile death cult calling itself a religion. Also it wasn’t easy to find this church which would preach the need, from the Bible and history, to stand with Israel under attack by Muslim persecution and deceitful propaganda in the globalist press. The falling away of so many churches by their embrace of Islam and interfaith equivalency is another possible sign of these being the last days of the end times that span between the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus and the second coming. Not that we can know the exact day or time!
The secular and so-called moderate Muslims, such as they are, do not disavow the Quran’s call for Muslims to practice the intolerant, discriminatory, deceptive, hostile death cult calling itself a religion, as IS and too many others are practicing it worldwide today, as Al-Qaeda (the IS precursor) practiced it in the U.S. on 9/11, and on and on it goes as JW documents. The silence of secular and moderate Muslims cannot be trusted under all the circumstances.

@ Arizona: You’re talking not about the God of the Bible but about some other Lord (maybe Lord Voldemort of fictional fame) when you say “THE LORD says americans are nothing but A PACK OF COWARDS,and are VOMIT in his mouth.” Commenting in caps is considered rude shouting. Maybe you could get some help for your obvious unwarranted anger. You don’t seem to know the real Jesus Christ (maybe the Quranic distortion) but the real Jesus welcomes those who are very angry and sin big, so you could start with Him.

As is so with the Christians slaughtered by Muslims in Nigeria, Syria, Egypt, or elsewhere, and of the Jews across the globe that are slaughtered because they are Jews, as long as the blood and guts fail to splash on us, I fail to see how we are connected to this…
Consider, for example, when we were in Iraq in force, when such atrocities occurred—and they were commonplace– we managed to draw clear lines of distinction around them, to the best of our ability, both neatly placing them outside of our arena of responsibility, and refusing to comment or at least focus on such atrocities. Thus disallowing them then to be the topic/focus of the day.
We were there (in Iraq), it was worth our steady recalling, to win hearts and minds. Train, stand up, the Iraqis. Support, empower the new Islamic government. Thus, “wisely,” we kept ourselves free from the irksome entanglements such feuds present–we deemed them just local issues. Refused the “temptation” to make this awfulness our business, our problem.
Additionally, ever heartened in knowing, when such “awful” incidents transpired, if we only sought, tried, hard enough we could find, or create if need be, a good news story to tell in place of the nasty ones, to our level best we held to that discipline.
Thus, unwilling to take sides, guarded against the “painting with one brush” pitfall, resolute to protect the “nobility” of Islam, thereby solidifying are alliance with the Moderates; refusing to be sucked in to pitting, if you will, Christian against Muslim/ Muslim against Christian, “wisely, courageously,” we stated, “this is an Iraqi problem, needs an Iraqi solution.” ‘ kept our hands washed clean of the “debris.”
As we know, such a game plan helped us leave Iraq with Mission Accomplished, clear, decisive “Victory” in hand. Hence, ignoring these awful stories worked great then, why should we change course now?

@ dlbrand – If you served with our military in Iraq in this “P C” (seemingly and politely satanic) time of betrayal of human decency and truth directed by top leadership levels of U.S. government, then I am truly sorry for the horror and hypocrisy of it all, and also grateful for your service. The U.S. military in Iraq when it was on the ground may have saved us from IS rising up earlier when we might have been less jaded about the Obama administration and might have failed even to protect ourselves and our families to the extent we may now be able to do going forward. I come from a military family and know what sacrifices are made to protect our nation. The misguided top leadership responsible for selling us out as an American people, for selling out our military in outposts like Iraq, and for abandoning God are those who will pay in His judgment, not the folks who did their best to serve with honor and dignity.

I did not serve in the Military nor in Iraq, my only son, and only child did. And rest among those who did so and paid the ultimate price.
Echoing your words a bit there, I have often stated, the honor is in the line after line on which our Guys (and girls) signed their names, asserting thereby what they were willing to die doing, if need be, what they were willing, if need be, to die fighting for; the disgrace is how our nation spent these Warriors.
My son, my child, Sgt. Emerson Noah Brand, among those Warriors wasted in this “war,” aka, as you stated, betrayal.
