Police confirmed that the flag has been taken down. Great. Is anyone investigating the people who put it up in the first place? What might they plotting? Who are their associates? Would investigating such questions be “Islamophobic”?
“Cops Confirm ISIL Flag Removed from New Jersey Home,” by Adam Kredo, Washington Free Beacon, August 13, 2014 (thanks to Pamela Geller):
Police in Garwood, New Jersey, confirmed that a militant flag associated with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) was removed from the front of a local home after hundreds of online activists expressed fear and revulsion.
Garwood Police Chief Bruce D. Underhill confirmed to the Washington Free Beacon that officers were “aware of the situation” and residents at the suburban home “voluntarily” agreed to remove the flag.
A photo of the home with the ISIL and Turkish flags was tweeted out Tuesday morning and quickly attracted hundreds of retweets and comments.
Underhill told the Free Beacon that the police are aware of the situation and are working to uphold the public safety.
“Thank you for your concern regarding this important matter,” Underhill wrote the Free Beacon in an email Wednesday afternoon. “Only with the public’s continued cooperation can we keep our communities safe.”
“Please be assured that the Garwood Police are aware of the situation and have taken the appropriate steps,” Underhill wrote. “At this time, the flag in question has been voluntarily taken down. No further comments.”
Multiple calls to a number associated with the New Jersey address were not answered and a resident did not respond to messages left seeking comment. Messages sent to a Facebook account believed to be associated with one of the residents also were not answered by press time.
Following the initial picture of the home, which clearly displayed the ISIL and Turkish flags on its front porch, Twitter users posted an updated photo that appeared to confirm that the black militant flag had been removed.
The ISIL banner was replaced by a flag that appears to resemble the blue-and-white-stripped flag of Greece, though it was unclear from the photos to what nation the flag belongs….

At a minimum, these people have pledged bayah to their caliph and his state; send them there, then.

Why are they living in America?! Get out! Move to the ME where *freedom* is an islamic F-word, and then hang your horrible flags over there. They have some nerve hanging them here.
Exactly, they need to be investigated and stat …

Your query, Champ, is a logical and fair one, but the problem with Islam is that it is neither logical nor fair—–nor humane, nor enlightened, nor worthy of respect, nor…, nor…, nor….
The ULTIMATE reason why this despicable flag was ever hung from a home in northeastern New Jersey is because Islam requires its deluded believers to think they are entitled to ALL of the world. After all, pursuant to Islam’s warped and control-freak view of things, New Jersey (the new Promised Land—not to be confused with the old Promised Land, Israel) and the rest of America will one day be part of the dar-al-Islam. Hey, who could doubt it if you think Allah is the one true deity and Mohammed is the last and greatest of the prophets? Accept this nonsense and anything is possible.
Like you, Champ, I am sick of Islam. Damn shame, though, that most everyone isn’t by now. Should be though. Oh yeah, should be by now. Way overdue in fact.

*Indeed*, Wellington! …great comment.

As a armed forces veteran –who gave Uncle Sam 7 years of my life, I certainly didn’t avail myself to him for this kind of crap to happen in MY America…….I remember some years back there was a lot of Italians in that neighborhood where he resides who would not have stood for this display…… ….when the Supreme Court ruled that it was “free speech” to burn old Glory that’s when I said to myself that this country was going to hell on the fast train. Kudos to the police for not ringing the home with guards and blaming everyone for Islamophobia. My standards have become quite low through careful observation and experience.

I should macro what I’m about to type.
All IS supporters are soliciting and conspiring to commit genocide under the 1948 convention. If the ICC, UN, international and human rights law is to have any meaning (yeah I know) they should be charged with crimes against humanity immediately.

For the record, the Turkish flag is a flag of genocide every bit as much as the Islamic State flag. No decent person should tolerate it being flown on American soil

Good spot my man! Jolly good eyesight if I may say! The turks perpetrated one of the most heinous genocides against Armenians; preceded by Britz against the Boers in SA (origin of the concept of the ‘Concentration Camp’ which those nasty Germans copied against the European Jews and are now labeled for in perpetuity).
And I think the Britz might have taken a shot at a few other cultures in Malaysia/Australia/New Zealand/Ireland. If I’ve missed a few that 6’4″ stalwart of manhood Fill_Itsarseski will set me straight. Or perhaps J_Poo.

Our elected officials are oddly silent when it comes to the very real threat posed by Jihad. Why? I think it is time to encourage those running for office to confront this threat and present plans to eliminate it.

What is the problem with calling all these people for what they are – Muslims!! Our media and leaders so carefully avoid to call them Muslims and continue calling them with any other name – rebels, extremists, even terrorists but never Muslims. Keep doing that and you will be seeing lots of ISIL flags all over USA!!

If I lived on that block I can tell you I would know who lived there!!! And no one would stay in a neighborhood that I lived in that feels like that, it would be too uncomfortable for them. Or for me, but one thing is for sure this would not slip out and catch me off guard.

I’m not surprised, here is another “shock” for you, Israel is supporting Turkish puppet state Azerbaijan, arming them and training them Against Armenian region of “Karabakh”… So this Turk can openly hang the flag of “Allah” in News Jersey, while Turkey sending his trained proxies to fight for ISIS, there are Azerbaijani fighters who joined ISIS, there are Chechen nationals (Boston Marathon Bombing Brothers was Chechen), Uzbek (US have base there) “Mujaheddin” from Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. So it’s not scary, for US police, because they know who is behind these Jihadists.
They know, that you are “safe” no one will go after Israel or US they just barking as their puppet master told them! The main goal is, to get the oil and natural gas flow to Turkey and Saudi Arabia for free (in exchange of the weapons and ammunition to IS/ISIS).
All who know the story behind these jihadists they well aware of what will happen in Iraq and Syria.
My question is, why Israel is in the same bed as the Terrorists in Syria, Turkey, Azerbaijan and blaming these Jihadists for their hate? What a person in good state of mind will do such STUPID act?
And the last question, why Israel will never Recognize the Armenian Genocide in Turkey so the USA and UK?
Be safe ….

What do you expect from a Turk. Every time I drive to Nicosia, Cyprus, there is a huge Turkish flag on the mountain side overlooking the capital. Alongside this flag, there is another flag that lights up at night and flashes intermittently. The Turks are so proud of their flags because one of them is the largest in the world and the Cypriots (in the south of the island) cannot do anything about it. prof andrew michael

In other news reports, this man, Mark Dunaway, is a caucausian/non-hispanic, in his 40s who converted to Islam about 10 years ago. He told reporters that he received the flag from a “friend” a few years ago and flies during Ramadan and on every Friday along with the Turkish flag as he said it was an “islamic” flag. He then explained that he had “no idea” that his black flag (the Standard of mohammad) was being flown by ISIS types (as well as Al-Qaeda, al-Shabaab, etc..) as he was apparently unaware what was going on in Iraq despite that story being on the news for a while now. Other neighbors had noticed the flag earlier this month but were unsure on how to approach this neighbor of theirs. It took a retired Israeli paratrooper living in this town of Garwood to photograph it and share it with a lot of friends on social media. I have many questions; why would some caucasian/non-hispanic then in his 30’s in New Jersey convert to islam in the few years after 9/11, which of course, impacted many New Jerseyite families? If he says that he was totally unaware of what was going on in the middle east these last few months, doesn’t he watch the news? Doesn’t his imam at the local (radical) mosque mention these things during the “in the islamic world” segment of his sermon? If his imam in tune with islamic world events and seeing how ISIS and other “extremists” have “hijacked” their “peaceful and merciful faith”, has his imam ever tried to tell his congregation how they should condemn these extemists (with pamphlets or rallies)? Who is his “friend” that gifted him the flag? The flag looks professionally-made (white seam and grommets, 3×5’dyed nylon without runs or streaks); where was it made? In New Jersey? In Syria? If an American during WWII had flown the Nazi flag, do you think anyone would believe his story that he just likes his German heritage and had no idea who this Mr. Hitler was? [I hope this website and its Readers can dig a bit further than the MSM and local PC police departments usually do with stories like this.]
Myxlplik says
I’m not sure why he would convert, but perhaps he had become addicted to drugs like Cat Stevens, thus softening his mind to the point that he needed a religion like Islam to make judgement calls for his life.
Surely he should renounce his citizenship and head on over to IS, he’ll fit right in.
