Bravo. All free people should hope that he sticks to this, and is able to do so. But the international pressure is only going to grow more intense. “Netanyahu: Hamas will pay price for more attacks,” Al Arabiya, August 2, 2014
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened on Saturday to exact an “intolerable price” from the Gaza Strip’s dominant Hamas Islamists should there be continued attacks from the Palestinian territory.
Netanyahu also said that Israel will continue its military campaign in Gaza for as long as needed and with as much force as necessary.
“From the beginning, we promised to return the quiet to Israel’s citizens and we will continue to act until that aim is achieved. We will take as much time as necessary, and will exert as much force as needed,” he said in a public address.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Cabinet minister said there was “no point” in trying to reach a Gaza truce with Hamas and that Israel won’t send a delegation to planned ceasefire talks in Cairo, the Associated Press reported.
The minister, Yuval Steinitz, spoke Saturday on Israel’s Channel 10 television station.
His comments suggests that Israel plans to end the current round of fighting with Hamas on its own terms, rather than getting entangled in indirect negotiations with Gaza’s Hamas rulers.
Steinitz alleged that Hamas has repeatedly violated previous cease-fire deals and that this “leads us to the conclusion that with this organization there is no point speaking” about a deal.
He says Israel won’t be sending a delegation to Cairo for the time being….

Good. His priority should be to ensure the safety of Israel’s citizens and not try to appease international opinion:

Still it is unfortunate that many civilians including children will be caught in the middle.
I don’t blame Israel though, not in the least.
The main stream media has Palestinian blood on its hands.
They have routinely covered up and run interference for Hamas as if this was all a game to score PC points. This in turn has emboldened Hamas to play up the victimhood card as Washington DC sent aid to prop up this corrupt terrorist organization using plausible deniability as an excuse to ignore how the money was being spent.
Then there are the wealthy Arabs who drool over the prospect of taking over Jerusalem in order to pretend that Islam is a ‘religion’ and could care less how many Palestinians are ‘martyred’ for the vanity of Gulf state dress wearing Muslim men.

I would like to hear Netanyahu and the other Israeli voices refer to the Hamas charter — I haven’t any of them more than mention the charter. The MSM seems to be allowing hard-line Israeli voices to be heard now, so this is an opportunity that shouldn’t be missed. Article 13 says, in part:
“There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors.”
Put that together with Article 7, kill all the Jews, and Article 11, “The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. Neither a single Arab country nor all Arab countries, neither any king or president, nor all the kings and presidents, neither any organization nor all of them, be they Palestinian or Arab, possess the right to do that.” — and the reality begins to appear.
Not least is the occasional mention of slaves, as in Article 12, “A woman can go out to fight the enemy without her husband’s permission, and so does the slave: without his master’s permission.” What’s this? Hamas allows slavery?
Quoting this stuff would help to justify refusing to “get entangled with negotiations” with Hamas and even get the West bright enough to want to be on the side to liberate the Gazan vassals from their owners.
And there’s plenty of other more odious stuff there that needs repeated airing in the West. What’s with the Israeli PR?

Where are the ‘Please explain’ demands:
To Ban ki Moon as to why UN facilities are used to store rockets and to dig tunnels from?
To the aid agencies who collected money from the public to send desperately-needed construction materials to Gaza and have them diverted to the terror tunnels?
To the media bosses – who know their reporters in Gaza are under threat from Hamas for reporting that ‘yes’ in fact rockets are being fired from hospitals and homes and that goon squads are beating up Gazans who take the Israeli warnings about strikes? – and don’t speak up.
To the protestors in the West, who ignore Muslim on Muslim butchery in Syria, Iraq and Libya yet have boundless energy to pillory Israel?

One key weapon Netanyahu needs in this battle is cotton-this to stick into his ears so he can better ignore the insane world opinion that’s against him on behalf of the world’s most worthless people. Then he might be able to finish the job for the good of Israel.
Daniel Triplett says
Yes, the World attitude toward Israel is alarming.
Thousands demonstrated against Israel in front of the White House today. A disgrace. Many of those same fools also protested the Iraq War in front of Bush 43’s White House, encouraging the enemy while American GIs like me and thousands more were over there getting shot at. My only brother was one of those protesters, wrecking our relationship forever.
Looks like the Prime Minister is beginning to tune everyone out though; a good thing. I’m glad he told Obama and Kerry to shove it.

In Australia, today, in Sydney (Australia’s biggest city), there were two demonstrations or rallies: one in support of Israel, summoned by a number of Jewish organisations, and one in support of the genocidal Jew-hating Muslims of Gaza.
The former was significantly larger than the latter.
The Jewish gathering (and I hazard the guess that the Jews would have been reinforced by non-Jewish Aussies of the same ilk as myself, who *know* what Israel is up against, and are fervently praying that Israel will prevail and Hamas get…hammered) numbered between 7000 and 10 000.
Note: the “centre of gravity” of Australia’s Jewish community is Melbourne, not Sydney, so it is even more significant that so many people turned out.
Meanwhile: the Muslim mob (and so far as I could tell from the available pictures, it was probably more Muslim than anything else – lots of bearded Rage Boys attended by their hijabette and niqabette camp followers) was large – one estimate, 5000 – but…that upper estimate was still *below* the lower end of the estimates I have seen for the *pro-Israel* rally.
And *that* is in spite of the fact that the single largest concentration of Muslims in Australia is in Sydney, and also in spite of the fact that there are by now about five times as many Muslims in Australia, as there are Jews.
Daniel Triplett says
Outstanding. Great to hear about Australians standing their ground, telling the World what Australians are made of, showing the Muslims who’s in charge down there.
Solid people you all are. I’ve had the opportunity to visit just once, on a week-long Air Force mission to Townsville. Unforgettable in every way. The land and sea, the animals, but mostly the people. Friendliest, most sincere and impressionable people anywhere.
Living just 100 miles from Washington DC, I should take charge in doing something similar to the Sydney pro-Israel rally here in America. It’s time to get loud. Maybe a YouTube video or something else to light a fire. A Vet’s professional, candid perspective on what we must do to eliminate Islam’s threat to the World.
The Muslims ought to be reminded of what we did to win WWII. They need to see Battle Damage Assessment photos of every major German and Japanese city, and know we’re willing to do that to them too. Freedom prevailed not with “pinpoint” targeting prohibiting civilian casualties. They must know that not every American is like Obama and Kerry, and if a man like me ever occupies the Oval Office, reprisal will be swift and certain, with zero regard for foreign public opinion.
This War is just getting started. Imagine how loud the peaceniks will scream when Israel attacks Iran. My earplugs are in.

This is heading into 1930’s territory and Israel is the new Czechoslovakia only they’re not playing ball anymore and are militarily in a position to, if it came to the crunch completely anihilate Hamas.
War is on the horizon and Muslims the world over are salivating at the prospect of a return to the days of supremacy.
The conflict in Gaza is just one facet, meanwhile that Fifth Column which is the true danger both here in Britain, wider Europe and America is hacking away at our pillars of democracy.
The moment of truth will arrive when Islam, emboldened by our weakness and their own natural bellicosity decides to let loose the dogs of war.
Then what?

Dear Mr. Netanyahu, regardless of the anti-semitic outbreaks in Europe–largely influenced by the burgeoning Muslim populations in those countries– the World admires your strength and resolve.
No other nation in history has been as moral as Israel in attempting to protect civilians during the course of war. Given their respective history, neither England, or Germany or France can make that claim. And it is reprehensible the UN would have the temerity to even attempt to create moral equivalence between Israel and Hamas. When three UNWRA locations are found to have weapons stockpiles and even a tunnel, it is time for the UN to look at itself in the World mirror and admit it has failed in its charter. They have absolutely no right to preach solutions when it is clear they are a big part of the problem.
Personally, while I appreciate that Israel would not want the headache, when Gaza violated the Oslo agreements by utilizing offensive weapons, Israel should have declared them in breach of contract and demanded they return Gaza! Maybe Hamas can provide their “constituents” with good housing in Iran.
Israel traded land for peace. Israel performed its obligations and therefore is entitled to receive the benefits of the contract it executed with the Palestinians. If one party fails to perform its obligations, the other party has the right to be free from its contractual requirements. Maybe the UN should consider that before it opens its collective mouth again …
Israel needs to route out Hamas and destroy it. The only way any semblance of peace will return to Gaza is when the Gazans realize they brought this upon themselves. And, as part of the overall effort, I hope the Mossad shall help Khaleed Meshaal and Mahammed Deif attain their waiting virgins as early as possible… the world would be better off.

Israel needs to continue fighting until Hamas begs for peace unconditionally. A cease-fire imposed by external forces merely insures that in a few year’s time we will be right back where we are now. Wars end when one or both sides are too exhausted and/or too discouraged to continue fighting. If you stop the process before that point is reached, you have accomplished nothing other than condemning future generations to pick up the fight again.
Ultimately, more lives will be saved and more pain and suffering avoided if we would just allow the process to continue until one side or the other exists no more.
After all, that’s the ultimate goal of the Islamists when it comes to Israel. Does anyone seriously think that if the situation were reversed and it was Hamas who was kicking Israel’s ass that any international call for a cease-fire would be heeded? The cease-fire would come only after the last Jew in Israel was dead.
