Remember: Christians in the West are not to speak of such things. To do so would harm the “dialogue”: “Talk about extreme, militant Islamists and the atrocities that they have perpetrated globally might undercut the positive achievements that we Catholics have attained in our inter-religious dialogue with devout Muslims.” — Robert McManus, Roman Catholic Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts, February 8, 2013.
“Boko Haram overruns Madagali, loots and vandalizes Catholic parish,” Vatican Radio, August 30, 2014:
The Diocese of Maiduguri covers the whole of Yobe, Borno and Adamawa states in Northeast Nigeria. These three states are under Nigeria’s declared emergency rule for the region. Fr. Obasogie says that Madagali and Gwoza are now effectively under the brutal control of Boko Haram sects.
Christian Churches within Maiduguri Diocese have borne much of the brunt of the terrorist activities although some Moslems have also not been spared by Boko Haram extremists. According to Fr. Obasogie, all Christian churches on the major road linking Maiduguri and Adamawa state have been closed after several acts of terrorism at the hands of Boko Haram sects. St Timothy’s parish in Bama which has been attacked several times in the past has been abandoned and the parish priest, Fr. Timothy Cosmas was relocated to a different parish. Early this year, St. Peter’s parish in Pulka was brutally attacked by Boko Haram insurgents though fortunately, the parish priest, Fr. James John who seems to have been the main target, was not at the parish when the attack happened.
On 24 August, Boko Haram’s leader Abubakar Shakua, in a move that seems to mimic the Middle East terrorist group “Islamic State” declared a caliphate in Gwoza, North eastern Nigeria. The Islamic State formerly known as the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isis) are a brutal Jihadist group that has declared a caliphate in parts of Syria and Iraq. They claim religious authority over all Moslems in the world. The militant group, Islamic State, is known for its chilling brutality and executions that seem to appeal to Boko Haram.
The fall of Gwoza to Boko Haram has undermined the Nigerian army’s efforts to try and regain territory being controlled by the insurgents. In July this year nearly 15,000 people fled the major town of Damboa when Boko Haram insurgents took it over.
Boko Haram insurgents have created mayhem in Nigeria since September 2010 when they attacked the Bauchi prison in Northern Nigeria. In that attacked 721 prisoners escaped as a result. Among the most chilling of Boko Haram’s atrocities include the 14–15 April 2014 kidnap of 276 female students taken from the Government Secondary School in the town of Chibok, Borno state. To this day, the students are still missing leaving behind a trail of immense suffering and anguish in bewildered families.
Fr. Obasogie says property belonging to Christians in towns that have been attacked by Boko Haram is being taken over by so-called Haramists and their sympathisers. He has since appealed for prayers and committed the Diocese of Maiduguri to the maternal care of our Lady Help of Christians to intercede.

I agree. This clueless individual (McManus) does need to have the smirk removed. His arrogance is only exceeded by his lack of humility in admitting that Spencer was/is right about Islam,

Oh Dan: I can practically hear you talking! I about died laughing. What a great comment.
One of the reasons this demento always looks like this is because the jihadists make regular use of crank. Meth. Speed.
Now why that should be is a mystery. Shouldn’t allah and the prophet (putrefaction be upon him) be their all-in-all? Guess not.

Boko Haram were on the ropes when they received a huge boost about the same time that the anti-Gadhafi Islamists in Libya were being treated as friends of the US and being showered with money and weapons by way of Qatar.
Joseph says
Most Catholics today are under the mistaken impression that the only acceptable response to aggression is abject pacifism. But they are sadly mistaken. What we are witnessing today, for anyone who knows their history, is quite similar to what preceded the Crusades: constant acts of murderous aggression by Muslims against Christians. At a certain point, Pope Urban II said ‘enough is enough’ and he called for Christians to defend themselves by calling the first Crusade. I am constantly amazed at how rarely we hear of Christians in these Muslim-infested areas today taking up arms and fighting back against their attackers. To my mind, every parish church there should have armed guards on watch constantly and all the parishioners should be armed as well. Then, if and when the parish is attacked, they can wage all out bloody battle to the death to defend themselves and their church. Or, if you’re not even going to fight back when they are slaughtering you, pull up your skirts and move someplace where you can live in peace (e.g. in the south of Nigeria). Instead, we hear of wanton slaughter; then it’s quiet for awhile. Then more wanton slaughter. Men, where is your honor? Christians: stand up and defend yourselves! Self-defense is perfectly licit according to Christian morality. Read St. Thomas. Read St. Augustine. Read St. Bernard. The spirit of the ancient Maccabees and the spirit of the [righteous] Crusaders needs to be revived if Christianity is going to survive in any form in these lands. And for any soft brained liberal who is tempted to reply that “that’s not what Christ would do”, eat sh*t and save your breath. This is a question of their very survival. Read St. Augustine. Christ HAD TO die; it was the purpose of His coming. We do not HAVE TO die at the hands of unjust aggressors. We can fight back. And we should fight back. To die fighting against evil is at least a noble death. To die like cowards who refuse to defend themselves is ignoble.

Oh, I forgot-In Re: Bp.’ McManus:
Im a Roman Catholic and love the Church. However: We have some bishops who don’t have a clue in this area. They’ve been infected by raging PC and they do a disservice to Church teaching.
I can’t improve on Joseph’s post above; that’s the bottom line. But here’s the deal-I, and lots of Catholics just like me, are more embarrassed about this kind of thing than ANY Muslim, anywhere, is about the neverending flood of atrocities committed 24/7, by THEIR ‘religion’. And they’ve actually succeeded in making US apologize to THEIR depraved members!
Whassup with that? Hmm…a scripture comes to mind, ‘The time will come when men will call good, evil; and evil, good.’.
Joseph says
Right on, Kathy. Another scripture: “…and the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God” John 16:2 (NIV).
Exactly what Muslims are doing when they yell “Allahu Akbar” while cutting your head off [very graphic image]:

KB: Here is the most recent message from Our Lady of Medjugorje (Aug 25):
“Dear children! Pray for my intentions, because Satan wants to destroy my plan which I have here and to steal your peace. Therefore, little children, pray, pray, pray that God can act through each of you. May your hearts be open to God’s will. I love you and bless you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call. ”

It would help if the consecration of Russia would take place. I mean: Almighty God doesn’t command something He doesn’t mean, am I right?
To all the other patriots here: Please don’t consider my and Joseph’s postings to be a tete a tete between two Catholics. Instead: It is integral to any conversation on the Muslim demons, to reference obedience to God’s laws. ‘For you war not against earthly princes and kingdoms, but against demons and the principalities of darkness’. Simply put, our beloved country, founded on the Judeo-Christian ethic, has enjoyed all her blessings since her inception because Americans observed this ethic.
But now we have no right or wrong; just situational ethics (an oxymoron if ever there was one). A president who has ‘no strategy’ for dealing with the clearest evil that ever vomited forth from the depths of Hell? No marriage as God ordained; women who’ve abandoned their role as the moral arbiters of society; abortion, on and on.
The enemy, tho’ deluded, professes complete dedication to his ‘religion’. Without God’s mighty hand in ours and His might? We can forget vanquishing them.

I too am a (tradionalist) Roman Catholic (in the UK).
This attitude of our Bishops is totally unsurprising since they all but abandoned the Faith after vatican ii.
It is just as bad in the UK with one or two notable exceptions.
Islam is an evil, false religion and an evil ideology. I must add of course, that not all people who identify themselves as Muslims are people who follow the nastier elements their faith and many are decent people who wish no harm to anyone.
But their faith clearly does and there must be enormous pressure on them to conform to the evil it teaches.
We in the west need to wake up to what Islam is about and see that its ultimatre goal is to take over the west (and indeed the world) under Sharia Law. That is mainstream Muslim ideology.
Muslims already account for 5 % of the population in Britain and 10 % in France and both are growing fast. How long before France then Britain are Muslim states under Sharia Law and we are paying the Jizyah and living as second class citizens?

Bishops Mark Davies and Philip Egan the notable exceptions I presume lol.

Trust me, christians do fight back. read about the Kaduna riots and why it is now divided into north and south. Read about what happened in Onitsha when a lorry load of butchered muslim men was sent down north in retaliation to another “Jumat” massacre. but as christians we must be patient and turn the other cheek… until we run out of cheeks.

I fear that Bishop McManus and senior clerics of his ilk are so steeped in the false ecumenism of the 1970s that they’d still think Islam is a religion of peace if there was an Allahu Akbar in one of their own cathedrals.
