This is the coalition we need: all those who face jihad terror and Islamic supremacism need to stand together. And so our AFDI rally yesterday was groundbreaking. Here is Pamela Geller’s account:
Today was an historic day. For the first time, defenders of Israel and representatives of minorities persecuted by Islamic jihadists from around the world gathered together to stand for life and for freedom. Finally, the truth.
Thousands of people gathered in Union Square for our AFDI rally, and onlookers couldn’t have missed the difference between our rally for life and the pro-Palestinian rallies for death: our rally was a true celebration, with singing and dancing and joy in living — a stark contrast to the genocidal Jew-hatred that at the rallies of supporters of jihad. We stood in Union Square today, all the victims and potential victims of jihad, in the coalition that needs to come together worldwide to defend freedom. We stood for life against death, for truth against lies, and for good against evil.
Our speakers provided harrowing insight into the full breadth and depth of the havoc and destruction that Islamic jihadists have unleashed upon the world. New York Assemblyman Dov Hikind gave a stirring appeal for Israel in its struggle against the jihad, and was seconded by the eloquent Ethiopian Jewish spokesman Mordechai Tasman and an IDF soldier who spoke of his own experiences. Dr. Mordechai Kedar flew from Israel for the rally, and showed how the jihadists are proceeding according to quranic imperatives.
What was unprecedented and groundbreaking about our rally was that these strong defenders of Israel were joined by others: Yazidi spokesman Haider Elias, the toweringly courageous and eloquent Sudanese freedom fighter Simon Deng, Palestinian Christian Mazzen Warra, Pastor Matthew Singh of Christians United for Israel, Indian human rights activist Arish Sahani, and Kurdish spokesman Salar Motidi — all of them recognized that we all face the same foe, and all of them ringingly affirmed the necessity for us to stand together for freedom.
The singing and dancing was striking, exhilarating. This was most truly a celebration of life. Singers Ron Eliran, Ari Lesser, and Beni Elbaz had the crowd on its feet, celebrating the beauty of life, of existence, of freedom. We love life; they love death. This is our power. This is why we will win. Pamela Hall videoed it all — after she kicked it off with a stirring rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Check back for video — as I will be posting all.
Yet while the singing and the dancing were illustrative of our love for life, above all the speakers brought home the gravity of the situation we face: the grim reality of the global jihad that Obama is determined to abet and our other politicians are determined to ignore.
Predictably, the mainstream media ignored this groundbreaking event. CBS Local interviewed me, but their piece on the rally didn’t use a single word I said, and characterized the rally as solely pro-Israel, without any mention of our stand for persecuted Christians, Yazidis, Hindus, etc. And the main information CBS’s report gave was how many “Palestinians” have been killed in the recent conflict. Typical and egregious. There were speakers from all over the world, representing minorities at the front lines of Islamic State persecution, including the Yazidis and the media carried not a word — this wasn’t newsworthy?

Forget the abandonment from TV media and others…we now all have ability to distribute and expose and in a much greater way than local, national or even international news and without editing…..put it all out there on social cyber….
Jay Boo says
CBS wouldn’t be able to repackage it if it was spelled out in language they can’t revise such as the ‘We are being butchered under the banner of no god but Allah’ COEXIST rally.
Coexist redefined by reality.

I was there. It was good, but I wish it were larger. Too many speakers gave religious reasons for Israel’s right to survive, tho.
Elizabeth says
I wasn’t able to attend this rally. I really wanted to be there in person, but I’d like to state that I stand with AFDI and I thank God for such an organization. I’m also grateful that their rally stood in stark contrast with the other protests that are going on in this country and others. This is who we are; we are peaceful and our religion and beliefs are that of PEACE. Unlike so many others that claim they are peaceful, WE BELIEVE IT and WE LIVE IT. I’m so proud of everyone that was there!! Good job! You’ve given a wonderful testimony for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May God Bless You All and May God Bless Israel, forever!
Lord Saint Fire says
I’m not supporting Israel anymore.
No one told me that they had black asylum seekers in a detention center like cattle. So if I go to Israel, I’m gonna be thrown in a detention center too?
This country lost my respect AND my support. They didn’t like being thrown behind barbed wire in camps, so why do it to asylum seekers???
Screw Israel!
Marken says
OK I’ll bite. So you are saying you were a huge Israel supporter and I assume an anti-jihadist but now because of a perceived slight you received from a story, you have now become committed to being anti-Israel?
Lord Saint Fire says
Oh I’m VERY anti jihad! But I’m against Israel now because I was lied to by the Israelis themselves. They told me that Israel was NOT racist, and that all the stuff I heard regarding the asylum seekers was false. But when I looked up the information for myself, it was not only TRUE, but worse than what I had perceived before. And apparently netanyahu doesn’t care, and neither do Israelis.
They claim to be doing this to those refugees for “religious” and “Cultural” reasons. In other words, a few black faces too many and Israel is no longer a “Jewish” state (as if all Israelis are Jewish to begin with).
Sorry, but putting people in detention centers after denying them refuge, employment, and using the damned Torah as an excuse (of ALL THINGS), and worst of all, lying to people like me about it by downplaying it (as if only five or six people think its okay) and refusing to even mention a detention center… What the hell?
I look like those people. I wouldn’t like living in a country after mine is persecuting me (hypothetically speaking), only to be called a “Cushi” by the locals, denied living space, banished to the streets, accused of the crime rates, said that my race is not good for the country’s national identity, and then thrown into a discount prison and ignored by the press.
I know that the Middle East has a huge problem with blacks, Americans, and Jews, but I held Israel to a higher standard than that.
So if Hamas does blow Israel to shreds, that’s bad, but why should I show my support for a country that would stop at nothing to give me the boot or throw me into a cage for being what I am (ie, not a white Israeli Jew)???
JOHN SPIELMAN says
wait a minute, the govt Israel air lifted THOUSANDS of “black Jews” from north Africa to live in Israel about 20 years ago- remember?
Lord Saint Fire says
Well, what I saw and heard/read was happening NOW, not twenty years ago.
but I don’t care. I love Jihad Watch very much, but with Israel that’s as far as it goes.
voegelinian says
Sure if Lord Saint Fire is so bent out of shape by this issue he can provide the evidence that moved his volte-face against Israel?
Rajivi says
“Well, what I saw and heard/read was happening NOW, not twenty years ago…”
Would you pl elaborate on this and share the link for the “read”..
jimjames says
What’s happening right now is a war started by jihadists Hamas. Inside Israel everybody continues the best they can given the constant threat of violence. People in Israel are the same sociologically as people from Western countries. No comparison to other countries in the Middle East because Israel is a democratic country and people can and do demonstrate for various causes. Majority wants peace and jobs; clean streets and good schools. In what is called in Leftist media “The West Bank” Palestinians have a good economic situation because order is maintained by the IDF. Otherwise the PA hasn’t demonstrated the ability to police their own areas. The population is radicalized for over 20 years to hate Jews. Taught in schools the Israel doesn’t exist only Palestine exist. Occasionally some Arab homes have flown Nazi flags. Jews still are have restrictions on entering the Temple Mount. A wrong turn on any highway can end up in a lynching. Otherwise, things are the usual tense. Muslims and Christian Arabs continue to go to their jobs as per usual cause in Israel they are allowed to do so. They do not suffer from a “dhimmi” status. By the way in Israeli schools children are taught about Love and respect. Not just for some or for those you like but towards all human beings.
Dennis Trisker says
I lived in Israel. Our building in Haifa was owned by a prosperous Muslim Arab. There were Christian, Jewish, Iranian Baha’i tenants. My friends have married Ethiopian women. At the bank were Arab Israeli tellers. At the state hospital there were no segregated wards. Arab women and men, Druze and others were being treated equally well by Israeli doctors, several of whom were Israeli Arab women physicians. So if this is your idea f apartheid go to a Muslim country!
Jay Boo says
You should see how Palestinian Muslims treat other Muslims
Jay Boo says
Illegal aliens are not ‘entitled to roam free in any foreign country.
If they were Somali they should have been returned to their original Islamic hellhole.
Muslims can’t be trusted in Israel or the West or Russia or anywhere.
Lord Saint Fire says
I didn’t hear about them being Muslim, and many of them are Jewish too (apparently Israel forgot that not only Whites and Semites can be Jewish. Didn’t know Judaism had a paper bag test!)
I read that they were seeking refuge from persecution in their countries on one hand! Trying to integrate.
TWO: Calling people Cushi (nigger) and attacking them for their color is wrong no matter who you are! And the interviewed Israelis were clear: They did it for cultural reasons and they don’t want to lose their “Jewish” identity.
That’s racism.
And I’m not mixing the plight up with the Palestinians. Palestinians are insane.
The Levite says
I am afraid you have been lied to. But not by Israel. Do you know who Miss Israel 2013 was? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Yityish-Titi-Aynaw/619243148117157
Do you ever ask yourself why these Africans are risking their lives to GO to Israel?
You need to educate yourself better and seek facts. My friend Dumisani Washington can help you, IF you want….
voegelinian says
Lord Saint Fire’s youtube evidence is so speciously propagandistic (and thus glossing over complexities such as the fact that a tiny postage-stamp country like Israel is not obligated to have to process thousands of refugees whose very presence as a refugee people fleeing oppression and genocide (as the libtard voice-over white guys themselves say at the beginning) has been caused by the evil of fellow black Africans (mostly Muslim black Africans), one would not be unreasonable to conclude that Lord Saint Fire is not needed in the Counter-Jihad (the Counter-Jihad must stand with Israel, you can’t pick and choose here). Good riddance if you’re that naive and gullible that a smarmy youtube sways you against Israel.
Jay Boo says
Lord Saint Fire
The way you misrepresented what I wrote and flat lied with gutter race-baiting tactics proves that nothing you write is true.

“no matter who you are”
Accidental semantic slip with the use of a pronoun.
Hardly likely considering your insidiously clever anti-Israel rant.
jimjames says
It’s no just a “Black” issue. They came illegally and have no connection to this place. These people may be refugees but they are funneled to Israel to undermine the Jewish State. Israel is a very small country, maybe a little smaller than Massachusetts and soon to be made even smaller. It cannot solve or handle refugees from Africa.
Lord Saint Fire says
Maybe you’re right about immigration, but that DOESN’T change or condone what the Israelis have said about blacks on camera.
So I still conclude that it’s a racist country. In fact, in their demonstrations and arguments, they weren’t just talking about immigrants. They were making racist remarks as well.
Think of the Palestinian protests. Saying “Free Palestine” is one thing (annoying, albeit). But it’s a whole other matter to say “Death to the Jews”, and attack actual Jewish people in riots (as Spencer as reported on in the past).
So when I hear racial slurs flying, and Rabbis saying to get rid of a certain type of person on skin color issues, and people saying that they don’t want their schooled children taught by a black teacher…. That’s a very clear and obvious message.
So Israel isn’t getting a bit of support from me anymore. If I’m just a dirty Cushi to them, then this dirty Cushi isn’t showing any support.

Once again, Lord Saint Fire
Illegal aliens are not (entitled) to roam free in any foreign country.
Illegal aliens are not (entitled) to be given asylum
You twisted your original argument ( Entitlement to receive asylum ) into a totally different argument only about racism.
Jay Boo says
Lord Saint Fire began all this crap by writing
“I’m not supporting Israel anymore.”
He said ‘Palestinians are insane’ ( insane implies lack of guilt (not responsible))
He said Israelis are racists
See the difference
He says “”I’m not supporting Israel anymore.”
anymore????? Yeah Right
jimjames says
You keep talking “Black and White”. The issue isn’t but you can’t see it. You’re problem. Russians and Ethiopians have immigrated to Israel. Each have had their problems. Most of the reaction is based on competition for jobs and businesses. This happens in every country- that allows immigration. The stories from America during the 1800s can fill a library. But after all is said and done there is one fact that stands out- Israel is always held to a higher standard. How many people flock to Saudi Arabia or Iran? Bigger and richer countries. Why aren’t people going there? I never heard that these people had any Jewish background only that they wanted work and a place to live. So why not Italy, France or Spain? Why weren’t these people offered a sanctuary in other places? Go deeper dude. Get some balance.

Specifically, how is a mosque a threat to the community within which it is built?
Every single mosque in the world, by definition, is modeled on the mosque of Muhammad in Medina in accordance with the Sunnah. The Sunnah interprets the Qur’an by reporting exhaustively on everything that Muhammad said, did, or consented to. Therefore, his Medina mosque, the first mosque, was a place where he gave judgments, where he decided who would be executed, where he instituted policy—domestic and military— where Jihad war strategies were designed. Consequently, it was a storage place for arms, a military training base, and was where troops were blessed and dispatched. Literally they were sent to conquer – Sam Solomon, former professor of sharia law

How many people *did* you get?
I assume there were a few police present, assigned to “crowd control”, and they’re trained at the art of “counting heads”.
Did you just casually ask any of those cops for a rough estimate??
Maybe next time you could actually *do* a count yourself. Speaker asks everyone to get into ‘clumps’ of ten, and stand still. Then you just count the “clumps”, and multiply by ten.
Because it would be nice to have an accurate figure that can be placed against any misleading claims by the opposition that your rally was under-attended.
Mirren10 says
Long, but well worth listening to.
Long live Israel !
Dennis Trisker says
Yes this mixed rally is the way to go. All people harmed by the jihadi Muslims should be united. Keep up the rallies. Let them grow in. Numbers. Force the media to attend.
