Is Lamin Savage a Muslim who supports the Islamic State or just an idiot who thinks the Islamic State is cool? This mainstream media report does not, of course, bother to clarify that crucial detail. In any case, the advance of this jihad savagery on the international stage is inevitably going to appeal to the marginal, the psychopathic, the violence-inclined.
“Man denied bail over allegedly threatening to behead police officer,” by Angelo Risso, Sydney Morning Herald, September 27, 2014 (thanks to Kenneth):
A man who allegedly told a police officer he was from militant group Islamic State and threatened to behead him has been denied bail.
Police will allege 24-year-old labourer Lamin Savage, also known as Mickey Savage, made the threats against the officer*, who had apprehended him for driving while disqualified some two months earlier.
On September 24, Savage allegedly called Granville Police Station asking for the officer, who was not available. Later that day, he allegedly called the station asking for the officer once again.
When he was told that the officer was still unavailable, Savage allegedly said “tell him if I see him again, I’m gonna cut his f—— head off.”
Police then allege Savage said “I am a member of ISIS, and the next time I see [the officer] I will behead” him.
Police told the court they believed that he referred to the Islamic group solely as a means of intimidation.
He has a long history of intimidation and menace charges, police alleged….

ISIS has a coolness factor 🙂
This is like modern day Che Guevara, attracting youths…

Notice the desert background in the photo.
Islam is as lifeless as the moon.
Two faces in duplicity.
Like the dry, barren moon that stalks the earth in circles, Islam too always hides one face in shame and deceit.
its waning crescent lurks in the dead of night but quickly veils itself in clear light of day.
john spielman says
excellent analogy- just like the Light(of Christ) will destroy the darkness of islam

Great imagery Jay Boo, and agree wholeheartedly John Spielman. Apt surname for this diabolical specimen, too.
john spielman says
ibn muslim; “cool” analogy, especially when you consider Che Guevara was caught and executed by the authorities and his body is rotting in the grave and his soul is in the fires of sheol awaiting the Judgement Day of God- just like muhammed pbuh*
* perpetual banishment unto hell
Champ says
Oh yeah, but are you cool enough (devout enough) for IS? …probably not hotshot! 😀
Jay Boo says
Losers and dung flies are attracted to Islam.
For the same reason

A couple of questions.
Why was this anal pore “disqualified from driving”? (And, not knowing Australian laws, but going by those in the US; the officer might have pulled him over and charged him, but it would be a court or the equivalent (DMV,I would guess) that would pull the license). So, why did the officer pull him over? Traffic violation (DUI? other violation?) or did the officer now him.
2. ” He has a long history————————————–“, (last line of the article). has he ever been sentenced for this, or, like much in the US, a slap on the wrist, ” be a good guy, don’t do it again”, until the person commits a heinous crime?
If the slap- no wonder he thought he could get away with this crap.
He –regardless if he is or is not with ISIS is (in my view,) stupid and (being professional and polite) an effing wacko.

Anyone else sick ‘n tired of the word “allegedly”? …he MADE the threat m’kay!
Joan in Houston says
I am not an attorney, but I do believe that the law requires the word “allegedly” or
“alleged” unless and until there is a conviction in a court of law. I must confess I am inclined to believe what the police officer had to say.
RJW says
Joan in Houston,
Yes, because of the presumption of innocence. I’m Australian, but not a lawyer, as far as I understand any newspaper reports that were considered to prejudice the accused’s right to a fair trial could be regarded as contempt of court , also the accused might sue for defamation.
St. Patrick says
Yes, we/Champ are aware of that..The question was are you sick of hearing it..
Yes you’re allegedly sick of hearing it..ha ha lo fn l..
St. Patrick says
But yeah threats are threats..They’re not “alleged” to be threats in the instance of their creation..OT anyhoo just backing up Champ on her not so alleged thoughts..
Champ says
Thank you, St. Patrick! …you totally get what I meant 😀

From the article – “24-year-old labourer Lamin Savage, also known as Mickey Savage”.
The surname “Savage” is a common enough “western” surname.
But the first name, Lamin, is West African, and derived from the Arabic al-Amin which was one of the epithets given to Mohammed, according to what I found *here* on names in Gambia.
http://www.accessgambia.com/information/names.html
Which makes sense, as I have encountered the name “Lamin” before; attached to a very, very different man, an apostate from Islam, of West African origin, called “Lamin Sanneh”.
So: what is “Mickey Savage” doing with the first name “Lamin”?
Any reporter who was worth his salt, assigned to this story, should have exerted himself to discover where and when and why “Mickey Savage” became “Lamin Savage”.
