Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Canada invalidating passports of citizens who have left to join jihad groups

Sep 21, 2014 8:58 am By Robert Spencer

isis8Bravo. Ted Cruz tried to introduce a similar measure in the Senate, but was blocked. All Western governments should be doing this.

“Canadian government begins invalidating passports of citizens who have left to join extremist groups,” by Stewart Bell, National Post, September 20, 2014:

The government has begun invalidating the passports of Canadians who have left to join extremist groups in Syria and Iraq, Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander revealed in an interview on Friday.

The minister told the National Post his department had also revoked the passports of several Canadians who had not yet left the country but who had intended to travel to the volatile region to enlist as foreign fighters.

He would not disclose the number of passports Citizenship and Immigration Canada had revoked over the conflict but said there were “multiple cases.” The government says about 30 Canadians are with extremist groups in Syria and 130 are active elsewhere.

“Yes, I think it’s safe to say that there are cases of revocation of passports involving people who’ve gone to Syria and Iraq already,” Mr. Alexander said. “I just don’t want to get into the numbers, but multiple cases.”

The action means Canadian fighters in Syria and Iraq may effectively be stranded there. Their passports are no longer valid and therefore cannot be used to return to Canada. Nor could they be used to travel elsewhere.

This week the Post revealed the identity of another Canadian with the Islamic State in Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS). Mohammed Ali, a 23-year-old from Mississauga, Ont., left Canada in April and later wrote online about playing soccer with severed heads.

Other Canadians allegedly with ISIS and similar extremist groups in the region include Hasibullah Yusifzai of Burnaby, B.C., and Calgary’s Farah Shirdon, who this week threatened attacks on the United States, before Twitter suspended his account.

Mr. Alexander said while they were few in number, he was troubled that Canadians had joined ISIS, which has been committing widespread atrocities in an attempt to impose its militant version of Islamic law on Syrians and Iraqis.

“We are not by any means the leading contributor of foreign fighters to Syria, even though the dozens that are there and the 130 that are abroad [with other extremist groups] is a disturbing number for all Canadians. But we want to ensure that Canada’s good name is not besmirched by these people any more than it already has been and that Canadians are protected.”…

Once passports are revoked, now they should to be deported. Maybe their families as well, so these parasites learn a little bit of appreciation in the benefit for their entire family to be in Canada, and that there are consequences. Their entire family will be deported.
This way, their families and communities may also take a heads up, and not encourage them.

Is it wrong that we should wish to defend ourselves from such evil as Islam?

“Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians

If you are a citizen of a country, you must have allegiance to that country first. If not, you are being a parasite, benefitting from the standard of living, but secretly harming the country. I therefore agree with the above comment.
Being a Citizen has a responsibility …these budding Muslim IS supporters should therefore be deported. ..they * do not have the right* to benefit from a country they are plotting to harm.
The world is in turmoil, in part because of these people. They are not peaceful. * They want a Muslim world. *
Please deport them. Let them develop and irrigate the desert where Islam is from. There is a lot of space there for them to practice Islam.

Salah, I could only watch about half of that video to which you posted a link before my breakfast came up in my throat. I want all our American leaders to be forced to watch this video with their eyelids held open. Unless the religion of Islam is reformed, and all the allowances and directives for violence, beheading, human trafficking, rape, child ‘marriage’, and jihad are removed from the Qu’ran, then Muslims do not belong in the Western world. During World War 2, the USA rounded up the Japanese and placed them in internment camps because we were at WAR. Have we lost our grit? Not only are we not taking strong and effective measures to protect the US and civilization as we know it, but there are still far too many leaders focused on political correctness against all reason and evidence of the grave danger posed to the tenets of civilization; upholding the sanctity of human life, creating a better world through education and alignment with quantifiable truth, and uplifting the human condition with compassion. Showing tolerance to any group that is diametrically opposed to our civilized values is not socially forward, it is abysmally stupid… and dangerous.

What surprises me is after all that is happening everywhere in the middle East and the havoc that Muslim mobs are creating all over Europe, how can leftist politicians still object to exposing the true face of Islam. Of we are NEVER going to ever name the real enemy, how are we supposed to defeat them? There is something really diabolical in this whole ordeal, almost prophetic and apocalyptic in nature, where even the elite are deceived… Why does t the defence for this evil ideology seem so much stronger than the resistance against it, when it is obvious to anyone who knows even a little about Islam that it’s agenda is tho dominate and subjugate those who will not submit?

This forces me to resuscitate my favorite idea: Air Islam.

Use passenger jets are cheap now, so buy a few dozen MD80s (a safe but nasty little plane to fly in). Then, put Prez Barack — and our a man frequently noted for being a genius, even by the RINOs — in front of the cameras to announce that henceforth all Moslems could fly only on Air Islam, which would always have its operations in the alternate small terminals at the big airports, where the discount vacation airlines operate. Be safer for everybody, and would finally allow the Infidel terminals to return to the laissez faire security levels of the 1970s.

Prez Barack Hussein, the vaunted genius, would explain that he had an epiphany that told him separate but equal until we Infidels learn how to be more tolerant, more understanding. He would note that Air Islam planes would be fitted with sensory electronics that if, the Moslem pilots up front try anything stupid like flying into a skyscraper or a big bridge, would immediately detonate the MD80 into relatively small pieces before impact.

That is the solution. Separate but equal, with the emphasis on the former.

And Prez Obama could offer the fig leaf to Canada that they could join up too.

We should be revoking passports for American citizens in the United States who align with Islamic State. I think it’s just madness that we’re not doing this (yet). Joining Islamic State constitutes an act of treason against the United States and against all the things that Western Civilization has built and holds dear. The thing that frustrates me the most is that I consider myself liberal, and yet I mostly find conservative voices speaking reasonably about these matters. We should only show tolerance to those who give us the same consideration in kind. I’m certain that my grandfather, who fought in World War II and was decorated for his part in D-Day, would be aghast at our lack of common sense in dealing with Islamist violence. What has to happen for President Obama, John Kerry, and the US Senate to wake up to reality?

C’mon Robert. Show us that you’re more nimble-minded than paranoid multiculturalists would have us believe. So, instead of writing “….to join jihad groups”, write…

Canada invalidating passports of citizens who have left to join Islamic statism groups.

No, not “Islamic State” groups but Islamic statism groups. Do you see? All Islam, or at least Sunni Islam and Shia Islam, is statist, no? And is it not also true, as our humble president asserted, that a state has a monopoly upon violence?

Now of course Canada is rife with Islamic statism groups. So why would a Muslim need to leave Canada to join one? Well, you leave that to the reader to figure out from the context. And you invite questions about whether or not a free pass is being granted to Islamic statists who are not leaving to go fight but to engage in related political activity.

The elected officials, Ted Cruz and the rest of the Senate, red and blue sides from Hawaii or elsewhere, are posturing as usual for the ill-informed American voters. Newcomers to Congress unlikely to be any different.

Republican bills, introduced for grandstanding purposes and vote-getting when they will never pass or be enforced by the executive branch regulators, are irrelevant. The current Congress on both sides of the red-blue aisle, if it really represented the majority of Americans, would lobby the current Obama administration to enforce already existing legal provisions based on enabling legislation enacted by Congresses of the past.

Under already enacted legislation of Congress and the existing federal regulations to carry out the law through the executive branch, the State Department (22 CFR 51.60-65) may, assuming that it is willing, deny (or later revoke) a passport on the grounds that: “The Secretary determines that the applicant’s [or passport holder’s] activities abroad are causing or are likely to cause serious damage to the national security or the foreign policy of the United States.”

http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/passports/information/legal-matters/passpoirt-information-for-criminal-law-enforcement-officers.html states: “When the Department revokes a U.S. passport, revocation information is shared through various databases accessible by law enforcement and various border agencies around the world to prevent persons from traveling on revoked passports.”

Obviously by failure to act where there is regulatory authority to do so (and expedited judicial processes available if a court order would serve to expedite) the Obama administration’s State Dept. does not want to revoke the passports of U.S. Muslims who have gone to fight with either IS or the Syrian “rebels” Obama is arming. The Syrians will ultimately default to join IS, too, or some renamed version of Islamic jihad, after the U.S. taxpayers have armed and trained our enemy and its U.S. passport holders in Syria through the bad decisions of Obama and the Congress that supports him and the global oligarchy’s Caliphate (as enforcement arm against the West’s middle class), not us.

We in the U.S. are living in a virtual dictatorship on everything important to life and liberty. Only consumer details, like which new phone to buy, are left to us in propaganda America, land of media, home of the brainwashed. And yet some of us do break mentally free.

What about those who fight for Islamic State, or for similar Islamic causes, without ever leaving the country? It triggers precisely the same renunciation of loyalty as a citizen to a free nation.

It should not require a conviction as in Kawakita_v._United_States
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawakita_v._United_States
but rather only an acknowledgment of a voluntary renunciation by way of conduct, without the predicate step of leaving the country to engage in Jihad. Vacation Jihad is mostly against people who are not citizens. The case against a local jihadi is stronger because their target most certainly is a citizen.

The value of Islamic State is that it is a place to deport people who have voluntarily renounced their citizenship in favor of Islam.

Translation: “The government has begun invalidating the passports of Canadian-passport-holding Muslims who have left Canada to join Muslim combat jihad gangs in Syria and Iraq”.

They are not Canadians. They were never Canadians. They were members of the Allah Gang or Mohammedan Mob, known as the “Ummah”, the world’s oldest and nastiest death-cult-/cum/crime “family”, who (or whose parents) had established advance operating bases in Canada with a view to ultimately Islamising Canada.
