Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Islamic State appeals for support in Pakistan

Sep 6, 2014 4:20 pm By Robert Spencer

jihadisThey want to take their caliphate worldwide. It will be interesting to see if they gain any support in Pakistan. If they really represent a twisting and hijacking of Islam, as so many in the West insist, then surely they won’t: the Pakistanis will know better. This could be instructive, except that no one in the West is interested in learning the lessons.

“Spillover effect: ISIS makes inroads into Pakistan,” Express Tribune, September 3, 2014:

PESHAWAR: In a bid to extend its influence in the South Asian region, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, (ISIS), commonly known as Daish, distributed pamphlets in Peshawar and border provinces of Afghanistan as well.

The booklet titled Fatah (victory) is published in Pashto and Dari languages and was distributed in Peshawar as well as in Afghan refugee camps on the outskirts of the city. The logo of the pamphlet has the Kalma, the historical stamp of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and a Kalashnikov assault rifle. Some copies were also mysteriously sent to Afghan journalists working in Peshawar.

On the last page of the pamphlet, the editor’s name appears to be fake and where the document has been published cannot be ascertained. Since long, Afghan resistance groups, including Haqqani Network, Hizb-e-Islami Afghanistan and Tora Bora group, have been publishing similar pamphlets, magazines and propaganda literature in Peshawar’s black markets.

The ISIS, introducing itself as Daulat-e-Islamia (Islamic State) in the pamphlet, has made an appeal to the local population for supporting its struggle for the establishment of an Islamic caliphate.

A number of hardline groups operating in Pakistan and Afghanistan have already announced support for the group headed by Afghan Taliban. Among them, Abdul Rahim Muslim Dost and Maulvi Abdul Qahar, stalwarts of Saudi Arabia-backed Salafi Taliban groups operating in Nuristan and Kunar provinces of Afghanistan, have already announced support for the self-styled caliph Abu Bakr alBaghdadi.

Besides distribution of its literature and pamphlets, some of the ISIS supporters have also made wall chalking, asking locals to join and support the group. Some cars and vehicles also have ISIS stickers pasted on them.

Meanwhile, recently established Ahrarul Islam, a faction of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is already working on the lines of ISIS. Similar is the status of the East Turkistan Islamic Movement (ETIM), also known as Hizb-e-Islami Turkistan.

Ahrarul Islam doesn’t believe in boundaries between Islamic countries, therefore, it is working for the establishment of a network throughout South and Central Asian regions. The group doesn’t recognise al Baghdadi as the caliph, but considers Mullah Omar as ‘commander of the faithful’, like TTP.

A number of local and foreign militant groups recently displaced from North Waziristan also claim that they want to “strive for the enforcement of Islamic Shariah not only in Pakistan and Afghanistan but throughout the world.”

When taking anti-terrorism courses a few years ago, it was amazing to see so many muslim groups with their jihad and tactics. The number is now dizzying…no way to keep up with all of the names and where they began, who the leaders are or of which sect.
But all have the same goal…kill or subjugate the rest of mankind all over the world.
Clearly, the devil is literally in the details.

That is exactly right. Devilish details indeed.

This dizzying complexity of mercurial, centuries old traditional, warring factions shifting their allegiances almost daily is, frankly, beyond the ken of most of us Americans. That’s a compliment. A distinct compliment.

But most of us Americans right now are additionally hampered by a borderline silly, do-gooder “administration” who simply are children in an adults’ Great Game. They’re wearing long pants and trying to walk in shoes much too large for them.

      So, what to do?

Short of organizing and staging some sort of coup d’etat which fortunately we’re not any good at either, we must depend upon the ….wait for this….pause…..the common sense of the Voters who gave us this disastrous “administration” to realize the error or their ways [good luck with that] to change their voting preferences.

Now, at the same time, since we’re being flooded with a new self fertilizing/replenishing/reproducing demographic from south of our border who’re desperate to receive our generous Oz-like “benefits” paid for by others’ cash who’re in turn being encouraged by this vote seeking “administration” and abetted by our castrated Congress conscious of their individual tenure……we’re really in one helluva mess.

Until each and all these terrible facts are accepted for what they really are by our voters, we’ll see no change in this vicious cycle.

Now…..can we be brought to see the folly of being ruled by the lowest common denominator?

This brigs us back to some of the thinking by our Founders…..remember that we had limited voter registration in the 18th and most of the 19th centuries.

Is that retro-step worthy of our serious re-evaluation? How do we cull the voter rolls? Do we revert to educational and property owning requirements? Not such a bad idea, eh?

So, dear Foreign Readers here, pardon our seeming indecision…….you’ve each experienced this same cycle, so please “cool it”, in the vernacular, at America’s apparent fed-upness with involvement in Foreign Affaires. The 20th Cent. has been a brutal lesson for us Americans and our involvement in your troubles

Obviously, you have demonstrated your own ineptness over more centuries than we have, hence don’t berate and sniff at us Americans.

    Stateless terrorists have no address.

Maybe now the MSM will be forced to admit Islam is the problem.
Destroy Islam at its rotted core.

Deobandis in nuclear Pakistan are seemingly as ripe for recruiting as the Wahhabi-Salafis in Saudi Arabia who were polled at 92% support for IS. Let’s say the poll was rigged and it’s ‘only’ 46%, still nightmarishly bad.

Nuclear Pakistan and oily Saudi Arabia, I estimated, were the two most important test cases for IS support. Based on the one Saudi poll, pessimistic me was optimistic.

By the end of the year Afghanistan is going to be wide open to them so they might was well have a go at Pakistan, too. Them nuclear weapons be real handy for an Islamic Caliphate.

I think expanding it’s base of support beyond Syria and Iraq is a logical step in the growth of the Islamic state. The link above is to a article I think is a very clear eyed assessment of events over the last few weeks. Islamic State is building something and it looks like it’s going to last how it will evolve (and it will) and where it will end nobody really knows. What’s clear is the West in general and the US in particular have no will to fight IS beyond lobbing a few bombs, and the Saudis and Gulfs states are not going to do anything. That leaves Iran who I think is terrified of a Sunni Shia war breaking out before they are ready. I don’t see this ending well.

It won’t be ending well at all if we continue our wishy-washy Obama-like behavior.

This is why I keep advocating a policy of our Containing these troublesome Muslims and their butchery inside Asia as we did the Russian satellites and their allies, including China, during the Cold War. The landmass area is very roughly similar.

Muslims are entrenched between Morocco and Green Africa all the way across to the Indonesian archipelago and up to the southern Philippines.

Why continually expect us Americans to be the Chief-Whacker-of-these-Moles?

Those “sleeper” Muslims inside America must prove their fides or leave for the Contained Continent.

We’ve got our work cut out for us.

Can one hope for a ( for want of a better term) civil war –between the various groups?

And an expansion of the Shia/Sunni killings of each other? (And leave the rest of us alone).

That, I think would help solve a problem.

In villages where radical islam is already the precursor to poverty and suffering they will find support as IS stolen wealth speaks volumes to the poor youth.
The same reason al qaeda is targeting Bangladesh.
al qaeda don’t pay as much as IS and have used up many poor Pakistanis in their quest for a male dominated satanic cult to destroy humanity.
IS have cash so they will find many Pakistani youth who can neither read nor write.
Pakistan is full of madrassa trained jihadis just like Kenya soon will be.

al shabab used money to recruit the very poor in Somalia…have been doing so for years and using terror and death to scare other residents into keeping quiet. Killing in the street to show their power and control and enticing the young boys with promises of power.
And the brainwashing in the schools and mosques give the blessings to it all.

Some of the richest irony of all of this is the fact that the odds that these disparate groups- especially sunni vs. shia, could actually get together and truly unite is so extremely remote as to offer some solace. It is way more highly likely that they will keep killing each other until they achieve a last man standing success. Wishful thinking of course that all the non-muslim minorities wouldn’t get killed during the process. Again the irony, that they all supposedly believe in the same religion but yet kill each other in the thousands because they can’t agree on the descendant/leader question. They fool and lie to themselves and everyone else every minute of their miserable lives, oh yeah and lying and cheating is also justified in the koran if it furthers something for the prophet!!! The solutions(if there were really any) are so complex as to be nearly impossible when a religion is a culture and you can be killed for questioning any of it. You can’t reach people, especially women who would give up all of their freedom here in America to willingly go live in a place where they rate lower than cows!!! If they can’t see peace, civility, education, opportunity and freedom as the solution to all that is evil, you can’t help them change sadly.
